Today is Rosh Chodesh Elul, the Hebrew month that immediately precedes Rosh
Hashana, the Jewish New Year. On this day, we begin to reflect on the past year
and contemplate the ways we can grow in the coming year. In today's verse, the
prophet Jeremiah declares that the future should be seen in the children who inhabit the world
and provide hope for a perfected universe. By watching children and their
enthusiasm for life we remind ourselves of the need for energy and excitement in
our service of God and the study of His precious Bible. Now is the perfect time
to join the Israel Bible Reading Plan, and commit to enhancing your Bible study.
