Also, the UN Human Rights Council in 2005 condemned Israel 61 times compared to 55 condemnations against the rest of the world combined. That number is higher now. Every day the people of Israel wake up to the reality of terrorism and the threat of war. This tiny country with a population of 8.5 million — smaller than Lake Michigan — is surrounded by openly hostile enemies with populations that total more than 240 million. And almost every day in the media there are alarming indications that war is coming to Israel sooner rather than later.
