Carl,
Most of the time, threats against Jewish students on campus do not make it onto CNN. But they are very real for the students who face them. Every day, Maccabee Task Force tracks and addresses antisemitism on campuses across America, collaborating with our allies and partner organizations to ensure that such incidents never go unanswered.
This week is finals week on many campuses, but antisemites don’t take a break. Here are just a few of the situations we’re monitoring and addressing nationwide.
George Mason University
Jewish students have reported harassment to us, and Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) routinely violates campus rules that exist to maintain peace and order. Following an incident in which students affiliated with SJP spray-painted campus property, we worked with our allies to push the administration to act. They have since suspended the group indefinitely.

University of Oxford
Last week, the Oxford Union threw out Jewish social media influencer Yoseph Haddad and declared that Israel is an “apartheid state responsible for genocide.” In response, our campus allies organized an open letter, which has now been signed by over 300 influential students, faculty, and alumni.
University of Michigan
Regent Jordan Acker’s home was targeted early Monday morning by antisemitic vandals for the second time this year. A window was smashed, and “free Palestine” was graffitied on his wife’s car. The university called it “a clear act of antisemitic intimidation.” Acker’s law firm has also been targeted this year.

San Francisco Hillel
The Hillel near San Francisco State University was vandalized early this week with leftist and anti-Israel slogans. The perpetrators spray-painted “death to Western imperialism,” “Khaybar,” - a reference to a battle between early Muslims and the Jewish community of Khaybar in 628 AD that has come to be used as a threatening anti-Jewish rallying cry, a hammer and sickle, and a capital “A” inside a circle, which are symbols for communism and anarchism respectively.

At Columbia University, anti-Israel students are posting “WANTED” posters of Jewish trustees and marching through the campus, in masks, calling for a “global intifada.” A few miles south at New York University, dozens of anti-Israel protestors gathered outside the library chanting “intifada revolution” and “Tel Aviv is stolen land.” One hour north at Yale University, Hamas supporters took over the main library during finals week. We have allies on the ground at all three campuses and will ensure that there is a response and consequences.

In each of these cases we've been working with our partner on these campuses to respond to these incidents. And in each of these cases we will continue to work proactively with these partners to win new campus allies and build larger campus coalitions so that they will not have to confront such hate alone. Antisemitic students and activists don’t rest. Neither does Maccabee Task Force. Protecting Jewish students is our 24/7/365 job. Can you help ensure we have the resources to monitor and address events at dozens of campuses nationwide?
You can support our efforts with a generous donation of any amount.
