WHOOPI SHOCKS PANEL, DEFENDS RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER FROM LEFTIST ATTACKS

Whoopi Shocks Panel, Defends Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer From Leftist Attacks

106
Of all the people who pushed back against HuffPost this week for labeling the holiday TV classic “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer” problematic because of its alleged racism, homophobia and bullying, nobody expected that she’d be its fiercest defender.
During a spiel Thursday on “The View,” far-left commentator Whoopi Goldberg slammed the politically correct notion that there’s something wrong with the classic.
“Where’s the problem?” she angrily noted. “The hero, he’s a kid that nobody believes in and suddenly they realize he is special. He is who he is for a reason. And he becomes the hero. Where’s the problem? It’s Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer.”
Listen:
The controversy over the TV classic began Wednesday when the very politically correct HuffPost shared a video to Twitter titled “Rudolph, The Marginalized Reindeer.”
The video complained about the cartoon film’s “problematic” racism, homophobia and bullying by highlighting tweets from various Twitter users upset over the 54-year-old cartoon’s alleged bigotry and insensitivity.
“The video begins with a scene from the cartoon in which other reindeer bully Rudolph by calling him names such as ‘fire snout,’ ‘rainbow puss’ and ‘red schnoz,'” BizPac Review reported.
“A caption then announces that while the cartoon ‘is a holiday classic that returns to TV each holiday season … viewers are noticing the tale may not be so jolly after all and they’re sharing their observations online.'”
Watch:
According to far-left extremists on Twitter, the classic “is a parable on racism & homophobia,” Santa Clause is “a bigoted exploitative prick” and Clause’s operation is “in serious need of diversity and inclusion training.”
Note that these are the same sorts of extremists who believe President Donald Trump and his supporters, many of whom are non-white, are white supremacists who hate minorities.
“Former fans are pointing out Rudolph’s father verbally abuses him,” the video notes. “Santa berates Donner for his son’s nose. The school coach encourages bullying. Donner forbids his wife from joining the search for their son. Clarice’s Dad is a bigot. Even the elf is an outcast for wanting to be a dentist.”
As noted by Whoopi, however, this is a false interpretation of the film rooted in political correctness and victimhood culture, not in the reality of what the classic is actually about.
The film is supposed to be about a bullied and marginalized Rudolph becoming a hero through his actions. But instead the far-left has seized on the tribulations the character faces early on in the film to cry victim.
Look:
Whoopi was also displeased with the false narrative that Santa Clause exploited or “used” Rudolph.
“You know, what he may be using him for his nose because Santa knows no one else in the North Pole can help,” she said. “And he’s got to get those toys to the kids. And what’s more important to Santa than getting the kids toys? Rudolph’s safety. Getting it all done safe.”
Some would call this common sense, something that’s rarely seen on the left, let alone on the usually radical program known as “The View.”

WATCH: CNN’s Tapper Makes Huge Admission; ‘I Don’t See Any Evidence’ Of Russian Collusion

1
CNN’s Jake Tapper made a huge admission on Friday night and said he hasn’t seen any evidence to prove alleged collusion between President Donald Trump and the Russia government during the 2016 presidential election.
During a segment with Democrat Congressman Jerry Nadler, Tapper asked about the ongoing legal issues of Michael Cohen, who previously served as Trump’s personal lawyer.
Last week, Cohen accepted a guilty deal with Special Counsel Robert Mueller, but as Tapper pointed out, Cohen’s admission of guilt has nothing to do with Trump or alleged Russian collusion.
They also discussed reports that leading up to the 2016 presidential election, the president entertained the idea of a Trump Tower being constructed in Moscow. Trump said he never put up a dime of money and that it was nothing more than talk a year before the election.
“I don’t see any evidence of conspiracy between members of the Trump team and the Russian government to interfere in the election,” Tapper said.
After Nadler called the potential Moscow project a “corrupt business deal,” Tapper pressed, “You call it a corrupt business deal?”
“The fact that it was negotiated with a foreign power while you’re running for president,” Nadler said.
“Not illegal, you mean like more just colloquially corrupt?” Tapper pressed.
“Yeah,” said Nadler.
“But still no conspiracy?” said Tapper.
“Well, wait a minute,” Nadler fired back. “It certainly tends to indicate — it’s one more piece of evidence — so now we know or Cohen testifies to the fact that Trump during the campaign at the same time that he is dictating a change in the Republican platform to favor the Russians, at the same time that he can find nothing negative to say about Putin or about what they are doing is, in fact, negotiating with the Russian government for personal business profits. He is mixing his personal business profits and perhaps putting them over the interests of the United States and lying to the electorate about it.”
After Nadler continued to claim that the president’s campaign conducted illegal operations with Russia, Tapper pointed out nothing done was against the law.
“Sure, it stinks, but it’s not a conspiracy is all I’m saying,” Tapper flatly said.
Watch below:
After a year of investigating, Mueller hasn’t found or produced a shred of evidence against Trump or about alleged Russian collusion.
Rudy Giuliani, the president’s lead attorney, also revealed in September that Trump’s team is preparing a “counter report” to rebut any allegations that Mueller may include in his final report.
Giuliani said he believes Mueller is “bluffing” and that it is time for the special counsel to “put up or shut up.”
The president’s attorney said Mueller has been investigating Trump for more than a year and that it’s time to wrap it up given no evidence has been released proving any crimes were committed by Trump.
