At just two-years-old, to say her life has not been easy would be an understatement. But, you can help this sweet girl see a brighter future. Addey arrived at our no-kill campus on a rescue transport along with 39 other neglected Pomeranians who were surrendered by a backyard breeder in Georgia. After being examined at our Pet Health Centers, Addey was found to have many of the issues that comes with neglect and overbreeding, including matted fur, dental disease, and a mammary tumor. Addey was also pregnant. When it was time, Addey had difficulty giving birth and was in distress. Sadly, after an emergency C-section, her puppies did not survive.

Addey had to be hospitalized as her recovery had been slow. She was weak and not eating very much. The incision from her C-section became infected, and Addey needed a second surgery to clean out the wound. Today, Addey remains on antibiotics and topical medications under round-the-clock care, until she is strong enough to address the mammary tumor. But with your donation today, this young Pom will have the chance at living a full and happy life. We’ll never be able to know the heartbreak that Addey has endured in her young life.
