Make It Stop! MTV Changes 'Moonman' Mascot to 'Moon Person'

“Why should it be a man?”

If you've ever watched a movie from MTV Films or the Video Music Awards (VMA), then you'd be familiar with the iconic "Moonman" mascot they hand out as a gold statue every year.
Well, we can all scratch that one out, because "Moonman" will no longer be known as "Moonman" as he has now had his woke epiphany and will identify only as "Moon Person." That is, until "Person" becomes offensive and he must identify as "Moon Being."
In an interview with The New York Times on Sunday, MTV president Chris McCarthy said the "Moonman" could be anyone and therefore should not be boxed in by gender, even though no woman at this point in history has walked on the moon.
“Why should it be a man?” McCarthy asked. “It could be a man, it could be a woman, it could be transgender, it could be nonconformist.”
Other outlets have celebrated the move, naturally, because the left moves in lockstep wherever it goes.
"In keeping with some new changes at the network, MTV is doing away with the gendered VMA trophy, lovingly called the 'Moonman,' in favor of a gender-free space traveler, which will be henceforth known as the 'Moon Person,'" reports E! News.
Not this should come as a shock to anyone, since MTV has morphed from a pop-cultural epicenter of music television into a celebration of all things progressive.
This is what Orange is the New Black actress Asia Kate Dillon said at last year's VMA show when presenting the world's first ever "genderless" award.
“This year has been full of firsts for me," she said. "I am the first, openly, non-binary actor to play a non-binary character on a major, television show and now it’s so cool to be here presenting the first, acting award ever that celebrates performance, free of any gender distinctions. Tonight, we celebrate portrayals of the human experience because the only distinction we should be making when it comes to awards is between each outstanding performance."

Gun Control Fail: Majority of Blacks Love the Second Amendment

Gun Control Fail: Majority of Blacks Love the Second Amendment

"54% of black Americans view gun ownership favorably."

On the issue of gun control and the Second Amendment, it turns out that American blacks identify more with the politics of Allen West than the limp-wristed platitudes of former President Obama.
A surprising poll from NPR reports that as of 2015, roughly 54% of black Americans view gun ownership favorably, almost doubling 2013's last number of 29%.
"In places like Detroit, more African-Americans are getting permits to carry concealed weapons," NPR reports.
Rick Ector, who trains new gun owners, welcomes the Detroit chief's change in attitude on permits. "He's the only one that I can ever recall who has been fervently in support of 'good Americans,' as he terms it, carrying firearms for personal protection," he says.
Why the slow embrace by black Americans nationally? Ector says it has everything to do with living in places with high gun restrictions.
"When you look at New Jersey, you look at New York, you look at California, D.C. and Chicago, really it's still a foreign experience," he says. "When you really look at the city of Detroit, we're kind of leading the way in terms of urban areas with law-abiding citizens carrying guns."
Along with school choice, Republicans can add gun control to their list of winning issues with black voters.

Obamacare to Leave 49 CountiesWithout Insurance, 1,300 Counties to Have One Provider

Obamacare to Leave 49 CountiesWithout Insurance, 1,300 Counties to Have One Provider

Well, looks like we found what was in the bill since it’s been passed.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has revealed that 1,332 counties across the United States will have only one health insurance provider by 2018, while 49 will have a big fat zero.
"The map currently shows that nationwide 49 counties are projected to have no issuers, meaning that Americans in these counties could be without coverage on the Exchanges in 2018," a CMS press release states. "It's also projected that 1,332 counties—over 40 percent of counties nationwide—could only have one issuer in 2018."
That means over 2.3 million Americans could go without coverage. In the counties projected to have no insurance provisions next year, nearly 30,000 Americans who are currently enrolled will lose coverage. But apparently, those numbers are small enough for Democrats. Somebody’s got to sacrifice, right? And here’s the real kicker: Because of the mandate built into the Affordable Care Act, those living in counties that don’t offer insurance will still be forced to pay, as CNS News reports.
CMS administrator Seema Verma added, “We continue to see a decline in issuer participation in the Health Insurance Exchanges leaving consumers with fewer and fewer insurance options. I am deeply concerned about the crisis situation facing the individual market in many states across the nation.”
Since 2015, insurance company participation in the exchanges has declined by over 30% while average premiums rose nearly 22%.
Thanks, Obama.

‘Nazi’ Protesters Shout Down Ann Coulter During Free Speech Panel Nice try, fascists.

‘Nazi’ Protesters Shout Down Ann Coulter During Free Speech Panel

Nice try, fascists.

Two protesters dressed as brownshirt Nazis attempted to shout down conservative author Ann Coulter during a free speech panel at Politicon over the weekend.
As she and other panelists, including comedian Greg Proops of Whose Line Is It Anyway? fame, started a discussion centered on campus censorship, the two Nazi-clad fascists jumped out of their seats in an attempt to shut down the conversation. The pair was ushered out of the room to the roar of the rest of the crowd chanting “U.S.A.”
But just when the panel resumed the discussion on the importance of the First Amendment, two more protestors interrupted with a giant “Trump/Pence must go” sign — another showing from the fascist RefuseFascism.org group. They were drowned out by the crowd chanting “Trump.”
Jake Tapper was at Politicon and tweeted, “Hearing about protestors disrupting @AnnCoulter at @Politicon. That's not how one wins an argument. Anyone can yell.”
Coulter later stated that she was happy someone showed up dressed like Nazis. After all, that is a leftist’s “natural garb.”
Here is another angle of the protesters:

J.K. Rowling Offers Tepid Apology forLying About Trump Ignoring Handicapped Child

J.K. Rowling Offers Tepid Apology forLying About Trump Ignoring Handicapped Child

"When someone shows you who they are, believe them."

After catching social media heat for tweeting a blatant lie about President Trump refusing to shake hands with a handicapped child, Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling has finally issued a tepid apology -- not to Trump, but to the child.
The Washington Free Beacon reports that Democrat Rep. Pramila Jayapal's deputy communications director Ansel Herz tweeted out a now-deleted video last Friday which appeared to show Trump ignoring an attempted handshake from a child in a wheelchair prior to delivering a statement on health care. What actually happened was that Trump had previously knelt to talk with the boy, whose mother later stated that her son was not trying to shake the President's hand anyway.
Fantasist Rowling then tried her hand at creating some fiction about the President, retweeting Herz's misleading tweet and writing, "when someone shows you who they are, believe them," a quote from poet Maya Angelou.
On Monday, Rowling sent out four tweets apologizing for any "distress" that she may have caused the little boy or family.

Since Rowling didn't lie about the boy or his family but about President Trump, her apology is no apology at all.
"When someone shows you who they are, believe them." Indeed. Rowling has shown us she is an unapologetic liar, whose hatred of a man who isn't even her president trumps the truth.
