Michael Moore Praises Soleimani In Funeral Tweet, Takes Shot At Americans

On Wednesday, far-left activist director Michael Moore praised terrorist and Iranian general Qassem Soleimani for accumulating so many “mourners” at his funeral and took a swing at American military figures for never being able to acquire so many attendees.
“Just wondering — is there an American General for whom millions of us would turn out for his funeral?” questioned an impressed Moore, captioning a photo of Soleimani’s funeral procession.
“Mad Dog [General James Mattis]? Kelly [General John Kelly]? Colin Powel [sic]? William Westmoreland? Can anyone even name the chair of the Joint Chiefs?” the activist rhetorically asked. “We all support those who serve but would we pour into the streets like this?”
Folks online were quick to point out that some Iranians are pressured to publicly “mourn” the death of Soleimani, as outlined in a Washington Post opinion piece earlier this week.
“Over the next few days, it will be hard to escape footage of huge crowds gathering in Iranian cities to mourn the death of Qasem Soleimani, the Iranian general killed by a U.S. drone strike. For anyone watching, I have one piece of advice: Don’t take what you’re seeing at face value,” Iranian journalist Masih Alinejad offered.
“The media in the Islamic Republic is heavily controlled. Public gatherings are allowed only if they are pro-regime. Critics are jailed or shot. (Even I, living outside the country, have received a death threaton Iranian national TV for my coverage of Soleimani’s killing.) So it’s not hard to use all the tools and resources of the state to stage a funeral,” Alinejad explained. “I have more than 4 million followers on various social media networks, and I have received thousands of messages, voice mails and videos from Iranians in cities such as Shiraz, Isfahan, Tehran and even Ahvaz, who are happy about Soleimani’s death. Some complain of the pressure to attend services for him.”
“There are many Iranian voices who think Soleimani was a war criminal, but Western journalists rarely reach out to them,” the Iranian journalist added.
Here were some of the reactions to Moore online:
“Probably not, but if anything happened to the leader of North Korea I bet there will be just as many ‘mourners’. I wonder why.”
“Is there any politician for which we would publicly mourn hysterically like these grief-stricken North Koreans.”
“Depends on if we had guns to our heads like they do.”
“You’re one sick puppy, [Michael Moore]!”
Over the weekend, Moore made a “personal appeal” to Iranian leadership to spare the United States and allow him and fellow progressives to work out a peace deal.
“I have just sent the Ayatollah of Iran a personal appeal asking him not to respond to our assassination of his top General with violence of any kind, but rather let me & millions of Americans fix this peacefully,” Moore tweeted Saturday.
“In the announcement of his appeal to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the self-promotional Moore pointed followers to his podcast, ‘Rumble with Michael Moore,’” The Daily Wire noted.

CNN Gives Media Platform to Iranian Spokeswoman to Push Iranian Propaganda

On Monday, far-left news network CNN, gave a long interview with Iranian government official Massoumeh Ebtekar who was the spokesperson for the 52 Americans who were held hostage back in 1979.
CNN host Christiane Amanpour gave almost no push back to Ebtekar and let her spew her Iranian propaganda as the she called the United States’ decision to kill Qassem Soleimani a “terrorist” action.
Check out what the Daily Caller reported:
CNN’s Christiane Amanpour did little to push back on Iranian official Massoumeh Ebtekar’s assertions that the U.S. carried out a “terrorist” action by killing Qasem Soleimani, an Iranian general killed in a U.S. airstrike Jan. 2.
Amanpour also failed to acknowledge that Ebtekar was chief spokeswoman for a group of Iranian students who held 52 American diplomats hostage at the U.S. embassy in Iran for 444 days, from 1979 to 1981.
Ebtekar said in an interview in 1979 during the hostage crisis that she would personally be willing to put a gun to one of the hostages’ heads and pull the trigger.
Ebtekar, 59, serves as vice president of Iran for women and family affairs.
“The American president made a serious miscalculation, they made a serious mistake by assassinating, by taking this terrorist action, against Commander Soleimani, and I’m sure that they regret what they have done,” she said in the interview.
“This has created a great new spirit in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and in many countries in the world for all those who support freedom seekers, and for those who support the oppressed,” Ebtekar added. “Because it’s very clear that Iran is being targeted, and Soleimani was singled out because of this quest for righteousness against Da’esh.”
WATCH the clip below:
Amanpour strategically avoided mentioning Ebtekar’s roll in the American hostages.
“You were, and are, a committed revolutionary. You were very prominent in the early days of the Islamic revolution, but you became more of a reformist as well, and you supported the negotiations for the Iran nuclear deal and diplomacy to settle some issues,” the CNN reporter said.
In an interview from 1979 Ebtekar that she would personally shoot and kill the US hostages if the United States tried to save them.
“You said at a press conference the other day … if there was an attack on this embassy, you will destroy the hostages. Could you really do that?” a reporter said to Eptekar in 1979.
“Yes, we mean it,” stated Ebtekar.
“Could you personally lift up a gun and put it to the head of one of these people and kill him?” the reporter from 1979 asked.
“Yes,” Ebtekar responded.
