Toronto Mayor John Tory joins Dr. Eileen de Villa, medical officer of health for Toronto, and other officials to provide an update on the city's response to COVID-19 on Wednesday.
On Monday, Tory announced that the city would be cancelling all public events through June 30, including the Pride Parade, in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of the community, as the city nears almost 800 total cases of the novel coronavirus disease.
In addition, the mayor said the TTC will be adding additional buses on typically busier routes to help avoid crowding and ensure distance can be maintained for all essential workers who need to take public transit.
