Last week marked the beginning of Jewish American Heritage Month (JAHM) — a powerful opportunity to celebrate one of the oldest communities woven into the fabric of the United States for more than 400 years.
At a time when antisemitism is on the rise, this month offers a chance to proudly reaffirm our identity and invite others to rediscover the truth, resilience, and beauty of Jewish life. JAHM, a federally recognized heritage month observed each May, highlights the rich history, culture, and contributions of Jewish Americans to the United States — from their leadership in the civil rights movement to groundbreaking achievements in science, medicine, business, politics, and the arts.
We invite you to join us in honoring this vibrant legacy. As hatred spreads like a virus, often fueled by anti-Western voices who reject the values upon which America was built, it is more important than ever to remember that the Jewish community has been an integral part of this nation from the very beginning, helping shape the most innovative and freedom-loving country on earth.
🏆 Join the JAHM National Contest
In honor of JAHM, CAM has launched a national contest inviting Americans of all backgrounds to explore and elevate the stories of Jewish life in America. This is a unique opportunity to learn, reflect, and educate others about the acts of courage, leadership, and partnership that have defined the Jewish American experience.
Prizes: Up to $50,000 will be awarded.
Recognition: Winners will be honored at the JAHM Congressional Breakfast in Washington, D.C., on May 21, 2025.
Let’s uplift Jewish voices and stories from every corner of the country!
