New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy will soon regret shooting his mouth off on TV. He made the big mistake of admitting that he’s harboring an illegal alien in his home and dared Tom Homan to do something about it. That, Democrats cringe, is not going to end well for their cause.

Governor may go to jail

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy may have exaggerated things a little for his TV audience, Border Czar Tom Homan acknowledges.

He’s giving Murphy the benefit of the doubt until he has evidence. Homan will know for sure one way or another as soon as the search warrant is served.

If Governor Murphy really is hiding a deportable migrant in his home, he’s going to federal prison and New Jersey will need to hold a special election.

If he’s knowingly harboring and concealing an illegal alien, that’s a violation of Title 8, United States Code 1324. I will seek prosecution or the secretary will seek prosecution,” Homan assured fans of Sean Hannity. Secretary Kristi Noem would be more than happy to oblige.

Maybe he’s bluffing. If he’s not, we’ll deal with that,” Homan promises. “It’s a foolish thing what he said, because I got note of it.

Homan grinned as he told Hannity he “won’t let it go.” He will definitely “look into it.” A spokesperson for the governor tried to do some damage control but the statement doesn’t get the job done.

Hide the migrant

If the Governor was making things up just to sound tough, he has nothing to worry about. If he did have an illegal alien stashed above his garage, he’s probably chased her back out on the sly.

Either way, taunting the Border Czar was not a bright idea. If she was there, Murphy better hope she didn’t leave any trace behind.

I don’t want to get into too much detail,” Murphy related in an interview on Saturday, February 1. “There’s someone in our broader universe whose immigration status is not yet at the point that they are trying to get it to and we said, ‘You know what, let’s have her live at our house above our garage.

Good luck to the feds.

The governor was clearly saying she doesn’t have legal immigration status. “And good luck to the feds coming in to try to get her.” That’s the part which made Homan’s ears perk up.

The fact he’s the top official in the state of New Jersey won’t keep him from being hauled away in cuffs by federal agents. Later, Murphy’s office “tried to backpedal his remarks.” The aid insists his remarks were “misinterpreted.” There’s not a lot to be confused about.

The official story is that “Murphy was referring to a legal resident who is in his circle of friends and was worried about Trump’s return to the White House.” She better not be there when ICE agents arrive or the governor might find himself deported to El Salvador. They offered to imprison anyone we care to send them. Even bona fide U.S. citizens.
