SENATE HEARINGS: Schiff’s Attempt To Steamroll Kash Patel Backfire… Bigly
This PARTICULAR beat-down has been a LONG time coming
After the 4 years of stonewalling and defiance Biden’s officials gave to Congress, didja really think Kash Patel was coming to the Hill to play pat-a-cake with elected Dems? Fat chance.
When Kash Patel came to reply Congress, a lot of Dems who thought they were coming to dunk on him were left licking their wounds as the wrong team walked away with clips and sound bites again and again. But there’s one match-up we were particularly looking forward to seeing.
Old Pencil-Neck himself. These two have a LOT of history, which we’ll come back to after the failed screenwriter-turned-Senator gets the beat-down he so richly deserves.
The plan was to smear the Trump campaign with innuendo and guilt-by-association. Patel put up with his dishonest showboating for about a minute and a half before he completely unloaded on Schiff, holding up a mirror to show the world EXACTLY what kind of a dishonest coward Schiff truly is.
It starts off pretty slowly with Kash trying to give serious answers to unserious questions. At some point, he’s done putting up with his nonsense. At about 2:10, Schiff follows up his unfounded leading question with ‘you want the American people to believe that? Do you think they’re stupid?’
From a serial liar like Schiff, that was enough for Patel to go gloves-off and deprive the little glory hound of the gotcha clip he was so desperately fishing for… not only did he refuse to get railroaded by Schiff, but he started hitting back, calling him out as the poser and fraud we all know him to be, outlasting Schiff’s filibustering to the point that Schiff’s mic was cut off long before Patel was done telling him EXACTLY what he thought of Schiff.
Why was this particular showdown so satisfying?
Becuase Kash Patel, as a staffer for none other than Devon Nunes (GOP House member of the Gang of Eight), was the one guy with both the clearances and the access to look into what REALLY happened with the railroading of one Donald J Trump in the Russiagate scandal.
And who was running interference and hyping the Russiagate lies every step of the way?
You guessed it. Little Adam Schiff, the same guy who rigged the game so that Trump couldn’t get a fair trial in the Impeachment hearings, vetoing any witnesses he didn’t like, and holding the hearings in a SCIF, where he had strict control of what evidence ever got to see the light of day.
Schiff was gleefully involved in the J6 Committee (that pardon he got is now worthless). The irony here that there is now a real possiblity that — if criminal culpability is to be found in his role either with Russiagate, or with the abuses of power and potential obstruction of justice we’ve seen in what he’s been up to since — the same guy who first unearthed the conspiracy Schiff was involved in against Trump may well be referring charges against the Pencil-neck who so doggedly stood in the way of the truth coming to light.
And if that’s how it shakes out? Seldom does Justice in the real world play out more elegantly than that scenario would.
