In "Unprecedented Move" Nobel Peace Prize Chairman Demoted For Decision To Give Obama 2009 Award

In "Unprecedented Move" Nobel Peace Prize Chairman Demoted For Decision To Give Obama 2009 Award

Tyler Durden's picture

Back in 2009, just months after his swearing in, president Barack Obama was crowned with an unexpected glory: he won the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009 due to "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples." Back then there was little indication that just a few years after his crowning achievement of "ending the war" in and returning US troops from Iraq, he would send US troops right back in Iraq for the 3rd US invasion of the country in three decades, but also send out US troops across the globe, and launch the second cold war, pushing the world to the brink of another "large scale war." Those who wish to read Obama's teleprompted and ghostwritten acceptance "speech can do so here.

At the time the White House, and the fawning media, was delighted by this crowning, if premature, achievement of the progressive president.
Which is why don't expect much coverage of the inevitable aftermath: earlier today, in what France24 dubbed an "in an unprecedented move", the controversial head of Norway's Nobel Peace Prize committee was removed Tuesday and demoted to the rank of mere member.

Thorbjoern Jagland, a former Norwegian premier, drew criticism after becoming committee chairman in 2009 for awarding the prestigious Nobel to newly elected US President Barack Obama. He will be replaced by current Deputy Chair Kaci Kullmann Five.
More from AP:
The Nobel Peace Prize awarding Norwegian Nobel Committee on Tuesday elected a new chairman to replace Thorbjoern Jagland, whose six-year tenure has been lined with controversies.

Jagland will remain a member of the voting panel but was a contentious leader, attracting criticism for his dual role as committee chairman and head of the European Council when the prize was awarded to the European Union in 2012. His leadership also was clouded by the decision to give the prize to Barack Obama in 2009 after he had just been elected president, and the 2010 prize to the jailed dissident Liu Xiabo drew fury from China.

The former labor politician was replaced by the panel's deputy chairman, Kaci Kullmann Five, a former conservative party leader. She denied that Jagland's ousting had anything to do with pressure from China, which froze diplomatic ties to Norway after the 2010 award.
She did not deny that his ousting had anything to do with Obama who has since the aware become a neo-con warhawk, who has put some of the most bloodthirsty republicans to shame, and whose actions (and lack thereof) have led to not only global conflict intensity spiking To a 7-year high, but have generated untold riches to the shareholders of the military industrial complex.

Vegas Hospital Sends Miscarried Babies to Laundry by Mistake

Vegas Hospital Sends Miscarried Babies to Laundry by Mistake
W460
Authorities say a Las Vegas hospital mistakenly sent two dead babies wrapped in linens to a laundry facility, leading to a grisly surprise for the cleaners.
The remains were in a load of laundry that Spring Valley Hospital sent Tuesday to the medical laundry company Angelica in nearby Henderson.
Henderson police spokeswoman Kathleen Richards says detectives determined it was an inadvertent mistake and it's not considered suspicious.
Hospital spokeswoman Gretchen Papez says a woman who suffered a miscarriage early in her pregnancy had arrived at the hospital by ambulance with the dead twins already wrapped in linens.
Papez says hospital officials are trying to determine how the mistake occurred.
She says officials have been in contact with the family after the remains were returned to the hospital.

The Obama administration released a plan to expand federal control over state and local law enforcement.
The plan released Monday, entitled Task Force on 21st Century Policing, advocates the federalization of police agencies across the country by forcing them to adhere to stricter requirements when they receive federal funding.
“The U.S. Department of Justice, through the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services [COPS] and Office of Justice Programs, should provide technical assistance and incentive funding to jurisdictions with small police agencies that take steps towards shared services, regional training, and consolidation,” one of the numerous recommendations in the plan stated.

The plan also calls for the feds to collect more law enforcement data.
“…There is a lack of uniformity in data collection throughout law enforcement, and only patchwork methods of near real-time information sharing exist,” the plan stated in a section advocating “national standards” for law enforcement technologies. “These problems are especially critical in light of the threats from terrorism and cybercrime.”

President Obama said that most of the plan’s recommendations “are directed at the 18,000 law enforcement jurisdictions that are out there.”
“I’m going to be asking Eric Holder and the Justice Department and his successor to go through all these recommendations so that we can start implementing them,” he said Monday. “I know that one area that’s going to be of great interest is whether we can expand the COPS program that in the past has been very effective, continues to be effective, but is largely underfunded — to see if we can get more incentives for local communities to apply some of the best practices and lessons that are embodied in this report.”
“But a lot of our work is going to involve local police chiefs, local elected officials, states recognizing that the moment is now for us to make these changes.”
The plan follows the same strategy laid out by Common Core: expand federal power on the state and local level by adding more conditions to federal funding.

Saudi Executions Set 'Unprecedented' Pace

Saudi Executions Set 'Unprecedented' Pace
W460
Saudi Arabia has beheaded dozens of convicts, including foreign drug traffickers, since the start of the year in what Amnesty International calls an unprecedented pace of executions in the kingdom.
Those put to the sword have included five Pakistanis, an Indian, two Jordanians, two Syrians and a Yemeni, with few foreign governments willing to publicly appeal for clemency from the wealthy Gulf state.
Three beheadings in a single day on Tuesday -- one for rape and two for murder -- took the total so far this year to 38, according to an Agence France Presse tally.
That is about three times the number over the same period in 2014, but observers disagree about the reasons.
There was also a surge in the latter months of last year. towards the end of King Abdullah's reign. He died on January 23 and was succeeded by King Salman.
"It began before Salman," a diplomatic source said.
"The Saudi authorities want to show everyone they are strong, people can rely on them to keep the security and the safety in the kingdom," said the source, who did not want to be further identified.
The aim is to deter all forms of violence but the policy is linked to the kingdom's fight against the Islamic State group, the source said.
In September, Saudi Arabia began air strikes against the IS in Syria as part of the U.S.-led coalition, raising concerns about possible retaliation inside the kingdom.
Security officers arrested three Saudis who allegedly acted "in support of" IS when they shot and wounded a Dane in November. Authorities also blamed IS-linked suspects for the killing of seven members of the minority Shiite community.
In January three Saudi border guards died in a clash with Saudi "terrorists" trying to sneak in from Iraq.
"They certainly don't want to seem soft," Toby Matthiesen, a research fellow in Islamic and Middle Eastern studies at the University of Cambridge, said of the Saudi authorities.
But he did not see a connection with the fight against IS.
"I don't think it's going to frighten Daesh" by executing a few more criminals, Matthiesen said, using an Arabic acronym for IS.
London-based Amnesty said there is no evidence the current "alarming spike" in Saudi executions is connected with the battle against IS or "terrorism".

- Allegations of torture -
"It would... be a stretch to say that this is an attempt to deter violence," because almost half of this year's executions were for drug-related non-violent crimes, Amnesty's Saudi Arabia researcher Sevag Kechichian told AFP.
"It is impossible to tell what exactly is driving these numbers", Kechichian said.
Amnesty recorded 11 executions from January 1-26 last year, 17 for that period in 2013, and nine in 2012.
The end-of-year figures turned out to be all about the same, "despite the vast differences in pace and distribution of executions throughout the year," Kechichian added.
"The current rate, however, has been truly unprecedented."
After 27 executions in 2010, the number jumped to around 80 annually, with 87 last year by AFP's tally. The figures have been among the world's highest.
An interior ministry spokesman declined to comment.
In statements carried by the official Saudi Press Agency, the ministry has cited deterrence as a reason for carrying out the punishment. It has also talked of "the physical and social harm" caused by drugs, and said the death penalty for murderers aims "to maintain security and realise justice".
Rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking are all punishable by death under Saudi Arabia's version of Islamic sharia law.
Human rights groups have expressed concern about the dangers of the innocent being sentenced to death.
Christof Heyns, the U.N. special rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions, said in September that trials "are by all accounts grossly unfair" and defendants are often not allowed a lawyer.
He said confessions were obtained under torture.
Similar statements have not come from Western governments, Amnesty said, accusing the West of "double standards" towards Saudi Arabia.
Other countries disagree with the kingdom's use of the death penalty, the diplomatic source said, but he asked if that means they should stop talking with Saudi Arabia about "terrorism", climate change or economic issues on which they cooperate.
"We need to work together," the source said.

Arab Summit to Mull Creation of Joint Force against IS إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية

Arab Summit to Mull Creation of Joint Force against IS إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية

The Arab League will consider setting up a defense unit to battle the spread of the Islamic State group at its annual summit later this month, an official said Tuesday.
Deputy chief Ahmed Ben Helli told reporters that the March 28-29 meeting in Egypt's Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh will discuss an Egyptian initiative to create a "unified Arab force".
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has called for such a unit to confront security threats in the region where IS holds swathes of Syria and Iraq and has gained a foothold in Egypt's neighbor Libya.
Last month Sisi ordered air strikes in Libya after IS jihadists there beheaded 21 mostly Egyptian Christians.
Ben Helli said a united Arab force was needed, even as a "symbolic" show of deterrence at times of "conflict or disasters".
"Such forces should be ready and present so that they could symbolically show that the Arab countries have a deterrent force and a peacekeeping force that could step in at times of conflicts," he said.
Ben Helli added that such a unit would be tasked with "confronting threats that undermine the stability of the countries of the region, particularly the rise of terrorism", a reference to jihadists.
In an interview Saturday with the Dubai-based Al-Arabiya news channel, Sisi said that a joint Arab force could get support from Arab League members Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
He said he discussed the creation of such a unified force with Jordan's King Abdullah II who welcomed the idea and said Arabs should press ahead to set up such a unit.

UK Bans Ad for Implying Old Jerusalem Part of Israel إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية

UK Bans Ad for Implying Old Jerusalem Part of Israel إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية
W460
Britain's advertising watchdog banned an Israeli government tourism advert for suggesting that the Old City of Jerusalem was part of Israel on Wednesday.
The newspaper brochure showed a panorama of the walled Old City with the text "Israel has it all", and was ruled misleading by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), which said it implied the UNESCO World Heritage Site was part of Israel.
The international community regards the Old City as occupied Palestinian territory, while Israel has claimed it as part of its capital.
The dispute is an emotional subject as the area contains places precious to Christians, Jews and Muslims, including the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Western Wall and al-Asqa Mosque.
Following a complaint, the ASA ruled the title of the brochure "Israel Land of Creation" and references to Old City attractions was misleading and banned the advert from appearing again in its current form.
"We understood that the status of the territories in question was the subject of much international dispute," the watchdog said.
"We therefore considered the presentation of the ad would mislead consumers into believing that the Old City of Jerusalem was part of Israel and into taking a transactional decision that they would otherwise not have taken."
The brochure included a photograph showing the golden Old City landmark and Muslim shrine the Dome of the Rock, with the modern buildings of Western Jerusalem in the background.
Text on the image read: "Everyone falls for the Old City, with its narrow (and car-free) alleys, teeming pilgrims and bazaar-like buzz."
In its defence, the Israeli Government Tourist Office denied that the brochure implied East Jerusalem and its Old City were part of the state of Israel.
"They said the ad did not seek to make a political statement and believed it would be inappropriate for it to do so," the ASA ruling stated.
"Rather, they believed the leaflet provided practical information that made clear that visitors to the places referred to in the ad, such as the Old City of Jerusalem, could only be visited via travelling to Israel."

'Last Jew in Pakistan' Beaten by Muslim Mob - Then Arrested

Fishel Benkhald, who is leading a campaign to restore Karachi's Jewish cemetery, attacked after agreeing to debate over minority rights.

A Jewish activist in Pakistan was savagely beaten by a Muslim mob Wednesday - and then arrested and roughed up again by police.
Fishel Benkhald - who is leading a one-man campaign to preserve the old Jewish cemetery in Pakistan's largest city, Karachi - has been a vocal activist for minority rights in the country, which is overwhelmingly Sunni Muslim and where minorities such as Christians, Hindus and non-Sunni Muslims are routinely persecuted.
Speaking to Arutz Sheva Thursday, Benkhald - the son of a Muslim father and a Jewish mother, but who identifies as Jewish - told how he had agreed to a face-to-face debate with a Muslim Pakistani man after a discussion on the topic of minority rights on Twitter.
"I was debating over Twitter with a young educated Pakistani Muslim that non-Muslim Pakistanis should be allowed in theory to be elected president according to our constitution," the discussion was purely theoretical, he noted, given that non-Muslims account for only around 3% of the Pakistani population.
After a back-and-forth "I proposed to debate face to face," said Benkhald. "He asked for me for my cell phone number and I gave it to him."
The two agreed to continue a friendly discussion at a restaurant in Karachi. But when he got there, Benkhald soon found himself ambushed.
"I went there alone but he was with his friends, we started the debate in a normal discussion manner but soon it got heated up and cursing started."
At that point, a "mob" began to gather around him  "and two of the guys who were with him started manhandling me - I should have left at that time.
"They started punching me and when I fell they started kicking my head. Someone also tried to snatch away my mobile."
Benkhald managed to tape part of the altercation, including the the assault. Arutz Sheva has opted not to include it due to the explicit and violent nature of parts.
At that point police arrived, but instead of arresting his attackers, they detained Benkhald.
"The police came and took me away, they didn't take the other guys. The police asked me if I am from Israel or from any other country. I told them that I am a Pakistan and am Jewish from (my) mother's side but registered as a Muslim in Pakistan."
Blindfolded and cuffed, he was then handed over to Pakistan's Rangers paramilitary force, who continued questioning him about his ethnic origins, and going through his social media pages after demanding his passwords.
"They beat me, but not much," claims Benkhald, and accused him of being a spy for either Israel, the US or India.
Eventually he was released after his brother intervened and bailed him out. the ordeal left Benkhald with a swollen eye and bruising.
Bankhald admits that in retrospect his decision to agree to a personal debate in a back-alley restaurant was unwise, and says he will be scaling-down his online activism as well out of fears for his safety.
He says he hopes to travel abroad "to a free country" to study Hebrew and Judaism some day, but that until then he will continue his activism in Pakistan as best he can.
At the start of the twentieth century Pakistan was home to a small Jewish community based largely in Karachi, mainly Iraqi and Indian Jews who immigrated over the years.
However since the country's partition from India in 1947 and a rise in anti-Semitism that community has disappeared, leaving Benkhald as the self-declared "last Jew in Pakistan."

Syria: Collapse of Moderate Rebel Group Deals Blow to US Hopes

Harakat Hazm - first Syrian rebel group to receive US TOW anti-tank missiles - disbands after defeat to Al Qaeda. Weapons seized.

The apparent disintegration of a key Syrian rebel group has dealt a major blow to US efforts to build up a force of moderate fighters to take on the Islamic State terrorist group.
The Hazm movement was seen as a cornerstone of the train-and-equip program Washington hopes will bring thousands of non-extremist fighters to bear against IS in Syria.
But after suffering a devastating defeat at the hands of Al Qaeda's Syrian affiliate at the weekend, Hazm appears to have disbanded, with many of its fighters reported to have joined an Islamist coalition.
"The collapse of... Hazm means that, in effect, there is no substantial and credible Western-backed 'moderate' opposition throughout most of Syria," intelligence consultancy The Soufan Group said in a brief.
Mainly present in Idlib and Aleppo provinces in northern Syria, the group, known in Arabic as Harakat Hazm, consisted of several thousand fighters and was last year cited by US Secretary of State John Kerry as likely to receive US arms and training.
Its creation was announced in January last year as a coalition of a dozen rebel groups from the Free Syrian Army that had taken up arms against President Bashar al-Assad.
It was the first rebel group to receive US-made TOW anti-tank missiles from Western backers in April 2014.
In recent months it had been coming under increasing pressure from jihadist fighters including from Syrian Al Qaeda affiliate the Al-Nusra Front, which had already dislodged Hazm from several areas.
On Saturday, Nusra launched a major assault on Hazm's main operations center - Base 46 in Aleppo province - which members of the group had seized from troops loyal to Assad in November 2012.
"Nusra kept pushing with heavy artillery and shelling for four to five hours," Louay Meqdad, head of the Research Center for Free Syrian Army Affairs and former spokesman for the FSA, told AFP.
In one night alone, he said, 73 Hazm fighters were killed.
'A dramatic end'
Nusra overran the base and, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring group, seized as many as 80 of the TOW missiles. Images circulated on social media showed Nusra fighters proudly brandishing their new weapons.
The next day, a statement from Hazm announced it was disbanding.
AFP could not independently confirm the statement's authenticity but several fighters from the movement said via social media that they would be joining the Shamiyah Front, a large coalition of Sunni Islamist groups in Aleppo province.
"The collapse and self-dissolution of the Western-backed Harakat Hazm group... is a dramatic end to a group openly supported - to some degree - with Western military supplies and training," The Soufan Group said.
Washington downplayed the incident, with a US military official telling AFP that Hazm's apparent disbanding was a reminder "that Syria is a fluid battlefield".
The official said the United States was resolved to its effort with moderate rebels, which aims to train about 5,000 Syrian fighters this year and roughly 15,000 over three years.
The United States is fully aware that "there will be losses of equipment and personnel," the official said, adding that former Hazm members would be recruited for the program, which is set to start in four to six weeks in Turkey.
"It's a cautionary tale for all sides," said Jeffrey White, defense fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, a think tank in the US capital.
White said that both sides of the program will be spooked by Hazm's disintegration and the snatching of its weapons by Nusra.
"It demonstrates for the US the risk of backing any one of these major groups" out of fear that distributed weapons will get into the hands of jihadists, White said.
And for the fighters themselves, he said, there will also be anxiety about receiving US support.
Another Western-backed rebel group, the Syrian Revolutionaries Front (SRF), has also faced repeated attacks from jihadists and lost territory in recent months.
"People who might go into that (program) will look at the case of the SRF and Hazm and say: 'Wait a minute, are these guys really going to stick with us, or will they expose us to retribution inside Syria?'" White said.

Stealing Children for Profit

Stealing Children for Profit

CSS Offical-New-Logo2

Many societal interests are geared towards profiting from stealing children from their parents and ultimately directing these children into prison where they perform slave labor for many corporations in one of the most hideous practices in human history, the privatized, for profit, prison.

Schools and Their Contribution to Private Prison Profits

Zero-tolerance” policies criminalize minor infractions of school rules, while cops in school lead to students being criminalized for behavior that should be handled inside the school. Students of color are especially vulnerable to push-out trends and the discriminatory application of discipline in many of our public schools. Children should be educated, not incarcerated, but to the lobbyists for the privatized prison for profit system, they are writing legislation for your state in which the end goal is designed to put your child in prison for profit.
In part one, I pointed out how the privatized prison lobby is responsible for longer mandatory sentences and passing laws which maximize the amount of people in prison and now they are in the schools criminalizing what used to be called juvenile delinquency.
These unholy lobbyists have secured guarantees from most states which they are guaranteed that 100% of all prison beds are occupied. Since the advent of privatized prisons our collective prison population has risen from 300,000 to over 2 million prisoners and the current rates are skyrocketing.

School to Prison Pipeline: Go to School and End Up In Prison

prison 666
The above graphic now applies to our children as our kids are increasingly becoming victim to what is called the School to Prison Pipeline.
Every good major league baseball team has a successful farm system of minor league teams in smaller towns and cities. This is where the majority of baseball talent develops their skills prior to coming to the parent club. The Prison Industrial Complex is run like a major league baseball team’s farm system in which young talent is developed to replace the aging veterans.
Your child this fall?
It used to be a given that unless one committed murder, juveniles under the age of 18 did not go to jail or prison. That is no longer the case. The incarceration of our youth is big business. There are almost 75,000 juveniles in prison and the rates are skyrocketing because of the school to prison pipeline in which schools are increasingly refusing to deal with even minor discipline issues and are placing juveniles in police custody.

Zero Tolerance Policies Are Responsible

As I have previously documented, the Chicago Police Department runs and maintains a FEMA camp facility in which due process is on permanent vacation. So, should it be surprising that Chicago is leading the way in pushing our children from school to prison? In Chicago, in 2010, there were 5,574 school-based arrests of juveniles in the Chicago Public School. The juvenile arrests accounted for about one of every five juvenile arrests in the entire city of Chicago for all of 2010. The incarceration rates for Chicago’s juveniles are above the national average, but they are generally in line with most other metropolitan areas in the country. There is also a general trend of disproportionate rates of minority contact within the juvenile justice system, Black youth accounted for 74% of school-based arrests, and 22.5% of youth arrested were Latino. The enrollment of Chicago schools in was 45% Black and 41% Latino. These high arrest rates for so many of our minority youth, create potential slave laborers for the Prison Industrial Complex. Once a child is adjudicated in the justice system, society usually witnesses a straight line right to prison. These precious children are having their futures robbed from them before they can even get started. What are they being arrested for? The number one reason is for fighting on school grounds.
As a child, I had fights on school grounds, but nobody tried to send me to prison. The number two reason why children end up in the justice system is for possessing small amounts of marijuana.
As a former mental health counselor, I am all too familiar with the devastation brought on by use of drugs. However, marijuana is not one of these drugs. If legalizing marijuana runs against everything you believe in, how about decriminalizing? In other words, we still make the drug illegal but nobody goes to prison for simple possession.
The federal authorities, controlled by the private corporations of the CCA and GEO, will never allow such a common sense, liberalized approach to drug enforcement. The feds even arrest medical marijuana dispensers and users. Why? Because Wall Street wants prisoners to fill its increasingly privatized and for-profit prison system. This is the major reason why America is home to 25% of the world’s prison population, despite only having 5% of the world’s population. Again, see part one for the corporations who participate and profit in the buisiness of prison slave labor which is increasingly being filled by children.
Our minority youth, in the inner cities, are being conditioned by the system that going to prison is part of the life experience. And with extremely high recidivism rates, prison slave labor will never have any shortage of participants.
The Prison Industrial Complex and their lobbyists are responsible for zero tolerance policies, mandatory sentencing and the three strikes life sentencing that is so prominent in many of our states and unless we identify these abuses and stop them, it is only going to get worse.
Remember that term, School to Prison Pipeline, because they are actively recruiting our children for the prison slave labor force.
In addition to the two primary ways (i.e. fighting and marijuana) that children end up getting trapped in this prison for profit system, there is another significant contributor to this problem, and it is brought to by your state’s version of Child Protective Services.

From Foster Care to Prison

It is often said that a nation should be judged by how it treats its must vulnerable members. From that perspective, America is a despicable nation. Please consider the following graphic which encapsulates the process on how our children are traded as commodities in order for Wall Street CEO, stockholders and friends are able to maximize their personal profits on the backs of our children. The following graphic is a story unto itself.
school to prison to pipeline stats
Of all the sources of where inmates come from, the most telling statistic that 70% of inmates were former foster children.

The CPS Factor

cps 2On The Common Sense Show, I interviewed Kristi Wills, a former Virginia CPS agent. Wills detailed how the Virginia CPS would literally steal children, without any justification, from their parents, and then these children would struggle mightily with their foster parents. Some foster parents would simply disappear with several foster children and the authorities were unconcerned as to where these children were taken. The late Georgia State Senator, Nancy Schaefer, detailed that this was how many of these children would be sex trafficked from this pool of missing kids. And we see from the above graphic, many foster children end up in prison. Wills and others report that the FBI and/or local authorities are never called to look for foster children who just disappear.
CPS is paid and average of $6,000 per child, per month, by a combination of state and local authorities as well as the Department of Human Health Services for every child removed from the home. If the child is a minority and/or has a disability, the child is worthy even more money to CPS who uses these stolen children to supplement their department budgets. And now we have clear and convincing evidence that many of these children end up in prison.
CPS profits from abducting children, the privatized prison system is a recipient of this windfall when these children eventually go to prison. When we combine the CPS pipeline to prison with the school to prison to pipeline, it is easy to conclude that our entire society is moving in the direction of preying on its children for profit.
I asked Wills to estimate the percentage of children that actually should have been removed from the home when she was part of an investigative team and she responded, “Less than 10% should have been removed from the home for their protection”. Wills went on to describe about how the CPS agents, following the removal of a child from the home, would go out to a bar and celebrate the victory. In other words, the goal of CPS is not to protect your children, but to seize your children for the profit that the HHS offers. Ultimately, many of these children are sex trafficked and/or end up in prison. Wills was ultimately fired by the Virginia CPS because she refused to lie on documents about the so-called facts which led to the unjust removal of a child from their home.

The Hunger Games

Before the tributes are selected, Effie Trinket utters the catch phrase of the movie "May the odds be ever in your favor".
Before the tributes are selected, Effie Trinket utters the catch phrase of the movie “May the odds be ever in your favor”.
Doesn’t this system remind one of the hunger games in which two children are chosen to fight to the death in Capitol City as part of the tribute that all must pay to the elite?
If by the grace of God your children grow up and are untouched by this corrupt system which has bought its way into every statehouse and federal welfare agency with campaign contributions, we are still left with one dilemma, our conscience.
Please allow me to ask a question to those of us who see this evil and do nothing, WHO ARE WE?

  1. Mary 3 March, 2015, 07:51 This is all very true and it’s about time our Leaders put a stop to the destruction of our communities by destroying our families. It’s not a solution to the problems in our country. CPS is not for the family.
  2. messenger 3 March, 2015, 10:19 Who are we, you ask? Well we are people trying to survive just as the children are! If a human was formed in the womb after ’73, the year abortion was legalized, and they were fortunate enough to escape being dismembered before birth, then they could be ‘jerked up’ instead of grow up, in a single parent home, with a revolving bedroom door for mom’s lovers, if not on the sofa in front of the kids. After slow, ardent mental and physical trauma breathing second hand cigarette smoke and viewing illegal drug use and illicit sex for five years in a domestic hell then they entered the public school system which disallowed corporal punishment, bible reading, and prayer or blessing before eating their government nutritional council’s processed cardboard lunch. If they survived the government mandated programs in the schools and weren’t taken away in handcuffs and jailed, then they graduated with a vegetated brain that couldn’t even identify their home state on a map, balance a check book, or fill out a job application, and nary a clue as to how to say sir, ma’am, please, or thank you. Those that weren’t in prison and went to college are now loaded with unpayable, astronomical student loan debt, while at the same time being taxed to support the cost of keeping their other classmates in prison. Those that didn’t go to college, far too often wound up in dead end jobs, or bleeding out in the sand on foreign soil as sacrifices in a war they had no ability whatsoever to win or understand. Now, for those that survived the butcher shops called abortion clinics, domestic life, public schools, and the illegal wars got to come home and be thrown back in the same cesspool they were called out of to ‘serve their country’. Those that didn’t go to war are still grinding away in the same lateral promotion dead end jobs that they will slave away at ’til FEMA comes knocking or they are ushered off to the cemetery. But, wouldn’t you know it, common core, vaccines, and Michelle-O-lunches are going to solve all of these problems and pave the way for a utopian future. How sir, can a generation of people win a war that was being waged against them before they were ever born? We lost the war for the soul of America in the 60s and early 70s, and as always the spoils, eg., our children, went to the victors, eg.,the government. In closing, there is no mathematical, moral, or economic equation ever devised by mankind that can calculate a positive result on the right side of the equal sign. This whole abysmal mess is beyond repair and no force at this level of existence will ever correct it. We are being threatened on three sides with nuclear destruction by countries that most assuredly have the ability and the eagerness to carry out those threats, while the President golfs and travels the world seemingly unattached, disillusioned, and ultimately detached from the very people he was elected to serve. Food shortages loom on every horizon, our infrastructure is crumbling beneath our Michelins, and inept Obama-laws will take care of the coup de gras.
