Bundy Allies Prepare For Possible Showdown After Obama Makes New Land Designation

A massive 1.5 million acre land grab by President Barack Obama has incensed anti-government militants, including the family of Cliven Bundy, who two years ago went toe to toe with the federal government in anaggressive showdown near their ranch in southeastern Nevada.
As reported by The Washington Post, on Wednesday the president used the 1906 Antiquities Act to unilaterally designate 1.35 million acres of land in Utah and 300,000 in Nevada as national monuments. Included in the Nevada monument was the land the Bundy family had fought the federal government over in 2014.
“If any of this were really about protecting the land, you would come here, work with the local people who love this land, those who have a vested interest in this land, and take the time to learn what this land really needs,” the Bundy family subsequently wrote in a statement to Tri-State Livestock News.

“This is about control, pure and simple,” the statement continued. “You don’t love this land, you have never visited here, but you love being in control of this land.”
Because a number of Bundy family members were still facing charges for their 2014 showdown, the family refrained from threatening another standoff. This, however, was not the case for other militants.
“Get your gear ready, and prepare, to saddle UP Patriots,” militant Karl Koenigs, a veteran of both the 2014 Nevada showdown and the 2016 occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon, wrote on Facebook. “Time for another WIN for the Ninth and TENTH Amendment laws in Bunkerville!”

“Locked and loaded ready to go,” added Chris Border, a member of the Cliven Bundy’s Army Facebook group, as noted by Vocativ. “Tired of this crap and time to do something.”
According to The Wall Street Journal, President-elect Donald Trump could potentially stave off any confrontations between militants and the government “by halting all current rule-makings and ordering agencies to stop enforcing rules enacted in the last two years (or longer).”

Then Trump can swiftly cancel this executive order and put an end to this madness.
