Ocasio-Cortez Throws Hissy Fit After Top Dem Refers To Her As ‘Shiny New Object’

83
New York Democrat Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tore into outgoing Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill of Missouri over the weekend for previous comments she made.
In response to McCaskill, who was defeated last month by GOP Sen.-elect Josh Hawley, Ocasio-Cortez slammed the Missouri Democrat for calling her a “shiny new object” and questioning why everyone was so obsessed with her.
“Not sure why fmr Sen. McCaskill keeps going on TV to call me a ‘thing’ and ‘shiny object,’ but it’s pretty disappointing. McCaskill promised she’d ‘100% back Trump up’ on his anti-immigrant rhetoric & lost. In MO, almost all progressive ballot issues won,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote.
“I’m also not sure why McCaskill is covering for the GOP by saying they ‘secretly think Trump is nuts.’ Nobody cares. Trump is melting down our institutions and inciting division between people. At any time GOP could have checked him and choose not to. They’re accomplices,” she added in a follow-up tweet.
Ocasio-Cortez’s comments came in response to McCaskill’s recent interviewwith CNN, where she tore into Ocasio-Cortez.
During the interview, McCaskill said she was a confused as to why Ocasio-Cortez is so popular among Democrats.
“I’m a little confused why she’s the thing,” McCaskill said. “She’s now talked about a lot. I’m not sure what she’s done yet to generate that kind of enthusiasm, but I wish her well.”
McCaskill then said that “the rhetoric is cheap” and “getting results is a lot harder” when asked about Ocasio-Cortez’s radical policies gaining steam in Washington.
“I hope she hangs the moon. But I hope she also realizes that the parts of the country that are rejecting the Democratic Party, like a whole lot of white working class voters, need to hear about how their work is going to be respected, and the dignity of their jobs, and how we can really stick to issues that we can actually accomplish something on,” she added.
Watch below:
McCaskill warned the Democratic Party about going too far to the left, supporting Ocasio-Cortez’s progressive policies, and ignoring working class, white voters.
Ocasio-Cortez has dominated headlines since she defeated 10-term Rep. Joe Crowley, D-N.Y., earlier this year in the Democratic primary.
Since then, she has made a variety of nonsensical comments.
The New York socialist called Jesus a “refugee” on Christmas to score cheap political points while speaking positively about refugees.
She was referring to the biblical account of Jesus’ birth in a stable manger, and she got the story completely wrong.
When they got to Bethlehem, Mary and Joseph registered for the census. They weren’t illegal aliens or refugees, they were obeying the law.
Last week, she took to Twitter to announce that she will be taking a “few days” to pamper herself with “self-care” to help prepare for her new new job in Congress — which doesn’t begin until next month.
Before that, she called outgoing White House Chief of Staff General John Kelly a coward.
Last month, she misquoted the U.S. Constitution and falsely claimed that the age restriction to run for president only applies to men and not women.
She also threatened to subpoena Donald Trump Jr., the president’s eldest son, for trolling her with a meme on social media.

Apple REMOVES Christian Ministry App After Complaints From LGBT Activists

35
Apple has removed an App from its store after LGBT advocates made a claim it portrayed being gay as a “sickness,” a claim the ministry says is not true.
As reported by NBC News, that the tech giant removed the App created by Living Hope Ministries, a Texas-based organization, following a Change.org petition from gay rights group Truth Wins Out. The petition called the “ex-gay” app “dangerous,” “bigoted” and “hateful.”
“The app falsely portrays being gay as an ‘addiction’, ‘sickness’, and ‘sin,'” the petition claims.
Living Hope Ministries of Arlington, Texas, told The Christian Post in an email that it was disappointed, but will continue its work.
“We are saddened by Apple’s and Microsoft’s removal of our app because of a single person’s false accusations. Regardless of their decision we will continue to make the app and our services available to those who seek them,” said Ricky Chalette, executive director of the ministry.
“We are a ministry that for nearly thirty years has helped individuals resolve their feelings they deem incongruent with their faith,” he continued. “We help people deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ through Bible study and accountability. We walk with them to align their lives with the teachings of Jesus Christ. Through support groups they realize they are not alone and are able to share honestly and openly in a non-condemning atmosphere about their struggles, passions, and victories. From chaos and confusion they often find peace, hope, and a deeper sense of personal wholeness. Our ministry is free and strictly voluntary.”
He added, “In a day when diversity and tolerance is celebrated I would hope it would be extended to issues of faith and practice.”
In a statement released Friday, Truth Wins Out Executive Director Wayne Besen said, “We thank Apple for exemplifying corporate responsibility and taking swift action to remove a dangerous app that stigmatizes and demeans LGBT people.”
Adding a little intrigue to the decision, it should be noted that Apples CEO Tim Cook In 2014, became the first Fortune 500 company leader to announce he was homosexual.
A announcement that was followed up by a CNN interview where he stated being gay was “God’s greatest gift to me.”
