Sharia Sarsour to Keynote Jihad Fundraisers for Radical Islamic Terror-Tied Group BANNED in Several Countries

13
In a world where the left dominates the culture (media, movies, music etc), the more pro-terror, anti-America, antisemitic you are, the higher your star will rise. She will be joined by a World Trade center bombing co-conspirator, Siraj Wahhaj, “her closest mentor.” The Democrat’s “It” girl. Linda Sarsour is set to keynote several fundraisers across the country for Islamic Relief USA, an Islamic advocacy organization that is banned in many countries and has increasing ties to international terrorist organizations.
SIRAJ WAHHAJ

His interest in Islam, he says, arose shortly after the 1968 assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., which prompted Wahhaj to go “looking for more militancy.”
In the course of that search, Wahhaj became involved with the Nation of Islam and its leader, Louis Farrakhan, under whose influence he converted to Islam in 1969. Aligning himself with Islam’s Sunni sect, Wahhaj studied at Umm al-Qura University in Mecca in 1978. In 1995 Wahhaj was named by U.S. Attorney Mary Jo White as a possible co-conspirator to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. In the summer of 1999, Wahhaj testified as a character witness for convicted terror mastermind Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman. Wahhaj stated, on the record, that he considered it an honor to have had an opportunity to host Abdel-Rahman at his mosque, describing the latter as a “respected scholar … bold … [and] a strong preacher of Islam.”  In August and September of 2001, just prior to the 9/11 attacks, Wahhaj was a guest speaker a “Jihad Camp” in Pennsylvania. The camp was organized by Safet Abid Catovic, a leader of the Benevolence International Foundation, a “charity” that would be shut down in November 2002 on charges that it had provided funding for al Qaeda.

LINDA SARSOUR TO KEYNOTE FUNDRAISERS FOR RADICAL TERROR-TIED GROUP

Islamic Relief Worldwide is banned in several countries.
By Jordan Shachtel, Blaze, April 29, 2019:
Over the past few years, the controversial progressive activist has faced increasing scrutiny over her Islamist ideology and ties to radical extremists, in addition to her virulent anti-Semitism. Nonetheless, she remains a board member of The Women’s March, which claims to advocate for the rights of all women.
The Sarsour keynote series for Islamic Relief will kick off May 12 in the Atlanta area, where she will be joined by radical New York-based preacher Imam Siraj Wahhaj, whom Sarsour considers her closest mentor. Last year, several of Wahhaj’s children were arrested after they attempted to set up a terrorist training camp in New Mexico.
The week after the Atlanta gala, Sarsour will travel to Chicago and Orlando to speak at other Islamic Relief fundraisers.
Several countries have listed Islamic Relief Worldwide — the parent organization of Islamic Relief USA — as an international terrorist organization.
IRW is listed as a designated terrorist group in the United Arab Emirates.
Israel has banned the group from the country, alleging that it provides material support for Hamas. In 2016, Israeli authorities arrested an Islamic Relief worker for assisting Hamas.
Bangladesh has banned IRW as well, claiming that it supports radical Islamists.
Additionally, Russian and Swiss authorities, along with British and Swiss banks, have cracked down on the group for terrorist-financing efforts. Banking giants UBS and HSBC have closed Islamic Relief’s bank accounts due to terrorist-financing concerns.
Under the guise of a humanitarian mission, IRW is known to support and prop up radical Islamist groups and individuals in the nations where its network operates. There is currently an ongoing U.S. federal criminal investigation into Islamic Relief, according to a 36-page investigative report by the Middle East Forum that was published in 2018.
The think tank has described Islamic Relief as an outfit that “was founded — and continues to be managed — by prominent Islamist operatives” who are linked to the Muslim Brotherhood and other international terrorist organizations.
Moreover, the Clarion Project has described Islamic Relief as an entity “joined at the hips” with the Muslim Brotherhood. The current chairman of the group appears to openly support the Muslim Brotherhood, according to photographs publicized by The Investigative Project on Terrorism.
Linda Sarsour has previously spoken at fundraisers for the controversial terror-linked organization. In 2016 and 2017, she spoke at several Islamic Relief events as part of the group’s “Promise for Palestine” tour. Islamic Relief is just one of the many U.S.-based Islamist outfits that the Women’s March leader has cozied up to.

Turkey: On Anniversary of Islamic Genocide of Millions of Armenian Christians, Armenians Still under Attack

Continuing to deny the Armenian Genocide, particularly at a time when Christians are being persecuted and slaughtered across the world, is one way for Turkey to remain backward, uncivilized and ill-deserving of its aspirations to become a part of Europe.

TURKEY: ON ANNIVERSARY OF GENOCIDE, ARMENIANS STILL UNDER ATTACK

by Uzay Bulut
  • It is estimated that between one and one and a half million Armenians perished.
  • The government-funded Turkish Institute of History just announced that it is preparing to publish 25 volumes “refuting Turkey’s involvement” in the Armenian Genocide.
  • “[I]t’s obvious that the recognition and condemnation of genocides are the most effective tools for the prevention of new genocides.” — Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, February 13, 2019, ArmenPress.com
Since the Armenian Genocide of 1915-1923, Turkish authorities have aggressively denied that the genocide even took place, or that Turks carried it out, and penalized those who dare to assert otherwise. April 24 marked the 104th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide by Ottoman Turkey. It was on this date in 1915 that Armenian intellectuals and community leaders were arrested in Constantinople and later murdered. It is estimated that between one and one and a half million Armenians perished.
Since then, Turkish authorities have aggressively denied that the genocide even took place, or that Turks carried it out, and penalized those who dare to assert otherwise.
The government-funded Turkish Institute of History (TTK) recently announced that it is preparing to publish 25 volumes “refuting Turkey’s involvement” in the genocide. The TTK also has produced a documentary — “The Armenian Rebellion Against the Ottoman State, Terrorism and Propaganda” — claiming that the Armenians started committing “atrocities” against Muslims in 1915, to which Turks responded by “relocating and resettling” them. As a result, according to the documentary, the Armenian diaspora proceeded to spread “lies about the so-called Armenian genocide.”
In addition to the Turkish government’s ongoing genocide-denial, there is also an attempt by many members of the Turkish public to wipe out all vestiges of Armenian religion and culture.
Functioning Armenian churches in Istanbul – which are few and far between — have been vandalized on several occasions. In February, for instance, the Surp Hreshdagabed church in Istanbul’s Balat District was spray-painted with the graffiti warning: “You are finish [sic].”
Last year, the Surp Takavor church in Istanbul was spray-painted with graffiti reading: “This homeland is ours.”
In 2016, the Bomonti Mkhitarian Armenian School was painted with graffiti calling to “torture Armenian[s].”
Meanwhile, non-operational Armenian churches, whose congregants were murdered or forcibly deported during the genocide, frequently fall prey to “treasure hunters” on looting sprees. Some of these “treasure hunters” even film themselves digging up church property, including cemeteries, and posting the footage on social media to boast about their quest for gold and other valuables. One historic Armenian church in Kars has been targeted by looters so often that many of its walls have collapsed.
Congregants of the Armenian Surp Giragos Apostolic Church in Diyarbakir — which was damaged as a result of clashes between the Turkish military and Kurdish militants five years ago, and has not been open to public since then — celebrated Easter this year at a café.
In February, the house where the late Armenian poet, YeÄŸiÅŸe Çarents, was believed to have lived in Kars was recently destroyed. According to the newspaper, Agos, since a number of other houses in the area suffered the same fate, the demolitions were thought to have been carried out by the Kars municipality or governorship.
The current population of the Armenian community in Turkey is approximately 60,000 — and shrinking, as a result of the “tense political atmosphere and violence” in the country. One Armenian from Turkey, who moved his family to Europe, told Agos:
“We wanted our child to live in more civilized conditions. Turkey hasn’t been peaceful at least for 5 generations. Turkey cannot manage to reach ‘the level of contemporary civilizations’ and it seems that it won’t in the next 30 years.”
Continuing to deny the Armenian Genocide, particularly at a time when Christians are being persecuted and slaughtered across the world, is one way for Turkey to remain backward, uncivilized and ill-deserving of its aspirations to become a part of Europe.
As Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently said:
“We do not view the recognition of the Armenian Genocide in the context of purely Armenian-Turkish relations. We see that in the context of global prevention of genocides and ensuring global security because it’s obvious that the recognition and condemnation of genocides are the most effective tools for the prevention of new genocides.”

AG WILLIAM BARR CONFIRMS ‘MULTIPLE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS’ TO FIND RUSSIA PROBE LEAKERS ARE UNDER WAY

In his first congressional appearance since the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on his investigation into Russian election interference, Attorney General William Barr told members of the Senate Judiciary Committee that his department is actively looking for officials who made unauthorized leaks to the media.
“We have multiple criminal leak investigations under way,” Barr said when asked by former committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, what his team is doing to address leaks to the media from sources within the FBI and Department of Justice throughout the course of the Russia investigation.
Barr, however, did not explain which leaks from the 22-month investigation are currently being investigated.
Grassley’s question followed up on a letter he sent to Barr last week asking whether or not the attorney general was looking into “whether DOJ or FBI officials had unauthorized contacts with the media” during the course of the Russia investigation.
“Much of DOJ’s work involves non-public, sensitive matters,” a Department of Justice outline of the agency’s confidentiality and media contacts policy states. “Disseminating non-public, sensitive information about DOJ matters could violate federal laws, employee non-disclosure agreements, and individual privacy rights; put a witness or law enforcement officer in danger; jeopardize an investigation or case; prejudice the rights of a defendant; or unfairly damage the reputation of a person.”
“DOJ personnel should presume that non-public, sensitive information obtained in connection with work is protected from disclosure, except as needed to fulfill official duties of DOJ personnel, and as allowed by court order, statutory or regulatory prescription, or case law and rules governing criminal and civil discovery,” the DOJ document continues.
In April, House Intelligence ranking member Devin Nunes, R-Calif., sent a letter to Barr outlining eight criminal referrals in relation to the Russian interference investigation, which included “global leaks” among several other allegations.
