TWEET CALLING TLAIB ‘UN-AMERICAN’ WAS POSTED BY CALIFORNIA POLICE DEPT. EMPLOYEE

By: Steve Neavling, Metro Times, April 30, 2019:
It was an off-duty employee at the Fontana Police Department who tweeted that Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) is “un-American,” the FPD now reports. Previously, the department had said its account had been hacked. The tweet, which the FPD called an “embarrassment” in a statement, was posted on Tuesday, April 23, and then deleted later that day.
So what? She is un-American.

The tweet was a response to Tlaib’s call to shut down U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
“Nice knowing you!” the tweet read, according to The Daily Bulletin. “I became bulimic because I vomit every time I hear your BS. You are one of the most un-American persons I know. You are a disgrace to the office you hold.”
The FPD put out a statement the following day to address the issue.

CURRAN SAYS SOCIAL MEDIA POST NOT INTENDED TO BE RACIST, MUSLIM ADVOCACY GROUP CALLS FOR HER RESIGNATION

The demand by the organization came following a Monday night call for Ms. Curran’s resignation by the St. Lawrence County Democratic Committee after its condemnation of the language and message in the post.
The post, since removed, showed an image from Sept. 11, 2001 of a smoldering North Tower at the World Trade Center as a second plane is about to hit the South Tower.
Misreported by the advocacy group as being text Ms. Curran wrote herself, the shared post stated “Every time a Muslim stand up (sic) in Congress and tells us they are going to change the Constitution, impeach the president, or vote for socialism, remember you swore you would never forget. They swore they would destroy us from within.”
Following the first of what will be quarterly meetings to discuss county issues with the Waddington Village Board Wednesday evening, Ms. Curran said she didn’t write the post, but just shared it, something she said she has seen all over the social media site.
“I didn’t mean anything Islamophobic or racist in my post,” Ms. Curran said. “I didn’t feel it was and that wasn’t my intention. It‘s just a quote from what people have said.”
She said that the incident has led to her receiving threats, one in the form of a video that she said she didn’t want to discuss. She said she showed it to St. Lawrence County District Attorney Gary M. Pasqua but wants to put the whole incident behind her.
“Basically, when you think about 9/11 and what was done, were not supposed to say anything about anybody,” she said. “Basically (Rep.) Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) can stand there and say ‘the Jewish people are horrible, we shouldn’t give them money, Hamas should get them,‘ and all this other stuff, and that is fine. But if somebody mentions 9/11 it’s this big thing and you get all these CAIR people and everybody else . . . CAIR never spoke up and said how horrible 9/11 was.”
According to a 2014 Washington Post report, CAIR, “was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2007 trial of the Holy Land Foundation in Texas.” While foundation officials were later found guilty of diverting funds to Hamas, CAIR has never been charged with any criminal activity and operates in a tax-exempt status, The Post reported.

After Synagogue Shooting, D.C. Cops to Protect Mosques and Synagogues

After a shooting at a Jewish institution, why are Islamic institutions getting special protection? More submission to sharia narratives, mosques need to be monitored.

After Synagogue Shooting, D.C. Cops to Protect Mosques and Synagogues

Why are mosques receiving special attention in Washington D.C.?
That’s the interesting question raised by this MPD bulletin after the California synagogue shooting.
After a shooting at a Southern California synagogue left one person dead and at least three other injured in an apparent hate crime, law enforcement agencies in the D.C. area say they are stepping up patrols at places of worship.
In the District, the Metropolitan Police Department said it was asking its officers to pay “special attention” to Jewish and Muslim places of worship.
“MPD’s Department members are instructed to provide special attention to Islamic and Jewish institutions as well as all religious places of worship within their districts,” MPD wrote in a statement to News4. “We continue to monitor all suspicious activity and encourage the public to be aware of any suspicious persons, activity, and/or vehicles.”
After a shooting at a Jewish institution, why are Islamic institutions getting special protection?
The most recent terror attacks on places of worship involved the synagogue in California and churches in Sri Lanka.
But there’s no mention of increasing security at churches in D.C.

French ambassador: US press ‘so anti-Trump that I do understand’ Trump going direct to the people

FRENCH AMBASSADOR: US PRESS ‘SO ANTI-TRUMP THAT I DO UNDERSTAND’ TRUMP GOING DIRECT TO THE PEOPLE

Gérard Araud, the outgoing French ambassador to the United States, said he sympathizes with President Trump and how he handles the “anti-Trump” press.

“The press, to be frank, is so anti-Trump that I do understand that the natural reaction of Trump is to go over the head of the press,” Araud told the New York Times.
Trump, who Araud described as a “big mouth,” has long railed against the “fake news” media. Some of his favorite targets are the New York Times, CNN, and NBC, particularly over their coverage of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation and unflattering reports about him or his administration.
Although Trump does agree to interviews with the press, particularly Fox News, he often gets his message across to his supporters through Twitter or rallies.
Araud compared changes in the Republican Party under Trump to shifts in conservative parties in Western Europe. Araud said Republicans used to focus on free trade and limited government spending, but now are “shifting to protectionism, nationalism, defense of the identity.”
