Maddow, Wallace Make ‘Deranged’ Remarks About Child Cancer Survivor
Congressional Democrats’ response to Daniel’s story — meaning their refusal to stand and applaud for the child who survived a terminal brain cancer diagnosis — was already shameful enough, but apparently the leftist media was trying to outdo them.
Soon after Trump’s speech on the evening of March 4, two MSNBC hosts were quick to jump in front of the camera to attack President Donald Trump for honoring Daniel.
Maddow and Wallace’s comments came after Trump gave a very heartfelt and emotional speech about Daniel, who has always dreamed of becoming a police officer.
“In 2018, DJ was diagnosed with brain cancer,” Trump explained. “The doctors gave him five months at most to live. That was more than six years ago.”
“Since that time, DJ and his dad have been on a quest to make his dream come true and DJ has been sworn in as an honorary law enforcement officer, actually a number of times. The police love him. The police departments love him,” he added. “And tonight, DJ, we are going to do you the biggest honor of them all. I am asking our new Secret Service director, Sean Curran, to officially make you an agent of the United States Secret Service.”
Responding to the widely-praised moment, Maddow deemed it “disgusting.”
“For the record — and this is disgusting — the president made a spectacle out of praising a young man who’s thus far survived pediatric cancer — as if the president had something to do with that,” she whined.
Meanwhile, Wallace’s comments were even more egregious, as she used the moment to once again whine about the January 6 Capitol protests and blame Trump for the deaths of Capitol Police officers.
“I hope he has a long life as a law enforcement officer, but I hope he never has to defend the United States Capitol against Donald Trump’s supporters and if he does, I hope he isn’t one of the six who loses his life to suicide,” she said
“And I hope he isn’t one that has to testify against the people who carried out acts of seditious conspiracy and then lived to see Donald Trump pardon those people,” Wallace added.
Social media users were quick to call out Maddow and Wallace for their appalling comments.
“They just can’t stand Trump having a heartfelt, special moment like this. Its too big of a win for them to stomach. And that encapsulates just how evil they are – they would deny this young man this touching moment if it meant spiting Trump,” one user said about Maddow.
“Let’s pretend that Maddow isn’t lying (she is) and that all pediatric cancer research has been cut by DOGE (it hasn’t). Does that mean a kid who survived brain cancer should be shunned to serve her political grievances? What a crazy, deranged thing to say,” RedState’s Bonchie said, referring to Maddow.
“This is genuinely the most repulsive comment I’ve heard in a very long time from anyone on television,” Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk wrote, adding: “MSNBC should fire Nicolle Wallace. Disgusting.”
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem also responded to Wallace’s comments.
“Yes, absolutely, absolutely,” she said in response to a question about whether MSNBC should fire Wallace. “There’s a standard for those who report our news and who cover what happens in this country. Yes, those who employ her and pay her her paycheck should evaluate if they want that to be the face of their operation.”
