A catastrophic explosion and fire at the Eastern Star Masonic Retirement Campus in Denver has left 10 people hospitalized and 87 residents displaced from their homes. The disaster occurred when a power line was accidentally struck during construction work, causing a transformer to explode. How will this event impact future construction protocols near senior living facilities?

Explosion Causes Chaos at Denver Retirement Community

An explosion rocked the Eastern Star Masonic Retirement Campus in Denver when construction workers accidentally struck a power line, causing a transformer to fail catastrophically. The blast was powerful enough to be felt throughout the facility, immediately triggering fire alarms and initiating an emergency response from the Denver Fire Department.

Resident Barbara Hinchey described the terrifying moment, stating, “I felt the boom. It rocked my chair, so I knew when the fire alarm came on that it was real.”

    Medical Response and Evacuations

Ten individuals required hospitalization following the explosion and fire, though the full extent of their injuries has not been disclosed. Emergency medical personnel worked diligently to assess all residents and staff, prioritizing those most affected by smoke inhalation or trauma from the blast.

A total of 87 residents were displaced from their homes as the facility became uninhabitable due to fire, smoke, and water damage. Many elderly residents had to navigate through dense smoke during the evacuation, creating heightened anxiety and confusion in an already chaotic situation.

    Community Response and Temporary Housing

The American Red Cross of Colorado immediately mobilized to assist the displaced seniors, many of whom left with only the clothes they were wearing. Red Cross volunteers worked alongside facility staff to coordinate temporary housing options and meet the immediate needs of the vulnerable population.

By Wednesday evening, officials confirmed that all displaced residents had been successfully relocated to temporary housing facilities or picked up by family members. The rapid and coordinated response from emergency services and community organizations demonstrated effective disaster management despite the challenging circumstances.

Investigations into the construction accident that led to the power line strike are ongoing. Safety protocols for construction work near residential facilities, particularly those housing vulnerable populations, will likely face increased scrutiny following this incident.

Trump Plans To Label Them Domestic Terrorists by Anastasia Boushee March 13, 2025

Trump Plans To Label Them Domestic Terrorists

President Donald Trump has indicated his plan to label radical leftists who have been attacking Tesla vehicles and dealerships as domestic terrorists.

There have been numerous terrorist attacks against Tesla dealerships in recent weeks since the company’s CEO, Elon Musk, joined the Trump administration to uncover fraud, waste, and abuse in government. In one example, leftist terrorists have targeted the same Tesla dealership in Dedham, Massachusetts, at least twice, on February 26 and March 11. Other incidents include a man being arrested for sticking decals on Tesla vehicles in Brookline and a Tesla charging station in Littleton being set on fire, according to NBC Boston.

“There have been at least a dozen [acts] of vandalism against Tesla vehicles, dealerships or charging stations in recent weeks, according to police and local reports,” NBC News reported.

One more egregious incident took place in North Charleston, South Carolina, where a masked anti-Trump activist vandalized Tesla charging stations and attempted to set them on fire. However, he only ended up setting himself on fire during the attack. Witnesses say that the masked attacker spray painted the message “F—K TRUMP LONG LIVE UKRAINE” on the charging stations before throwing Molotov cocktails at them, but set himself on fire instead.

While no one has been injured thus far in these incidents of vandalism and arson, other than the one perpetrator, the incidents should be labeled as terrorist attacks because the goal of these leftists is to intimidate Musk and anyone associated with him.

Trump was asked about the rising crime against Tesla vehicles and dealerships on March 11, to which the president responded: “Some say they should be labeled domestic terrorists. I will do that. I’ll do it. I’m gonna stop ‘em [if] we catch anybody doing it. Because they’re harming a great American company.”

“Let me tell you, you do it to Tesla, and you do it to any company, we’re going to catch you, and … you’re going to go through hell,” Trump added.t

Trump later emphasized his vow to apprehend the terrorists responsible for the attacks, stating: “We already know who some of them are, we’re gonna catch them. And they’re bad guys.”

Members of Trump’s administration appear to agree with his assessment, as White House spokesperson Harrison Fields has also stated that “ongoing and heinous acts of violence against Tesla by radical Leftist activists are nothing short of domestic terror.”

Fake News Network Media ‘Hysteria’ Over USAID Document Shredding by Mark Megahan March 13, 2025

Fake News Network Media ‘Hysteria’ Over USAID Document Shredding

    USAID
The network media is getting shameless with their over-hyped USAID hysteria. It’s clear they’re trying to distract everyone’s attention away from a little $375 billion slush fund Democrats set up. Right before they slipped out the door and long before they heard of DOGE. Instead, all the major outlets are screaming about staff ordered to shred and burn extra document copies.

    USAID distraction

The White House casually “dismissed” network reports that USAID is shredding and burning documents to hide evidence. That’s “fake news,” spokeswoman Anna Kelly insists. Documents really are being shredded and burned but there are digital copies of everything.

From what the DOGE investigators are learning, Democrats would be much better off if the evidence was actually disappearing. That’s because what’s being uncovered is a lot worse for the blue team than it is for the administration.

It’s true that Trump and his cabinet are in the process of shutting USAID down completely. More than 80 percent of what they were spending money on was fraud, waste and abuse.

In recent days, the public learned that the $20 billion EPA gold bar scandal was even bigger than anyone imagined. That was only part of a $375 billion secret slush fund Democrats buried in foreign aid funding between November and Trump’s swearing in.

On Wednesday, March 12, the White House confirmed that acting USAID Executive Secretary Erica Carr “instructed employees to begin shredding and burning documents.” Democrats instantly sent lawyers with the government labor unions off to file a federal injunction over it on Tuesday.

That’s become their standard response to everything President Donald Trump orders. It’s not working but it is annoying to conservatives and helps Democrats stall for time while they figure something else out.

    USAID
    Over-hyped USAID hysteria.

    Nothing was lost

All of the documents that Democrats are complaining about loudly in the press “remain available on computer systems.

The only reason they’re cleaning out the file cabinets is because “Customs and Border Protection is poised to move into the USAID building.” The administration issued a statement clarifying things for the record.

The destruction order “was sent to roughly three dozen employees. The documents involved were old, mostly courtesy content (content from other agencies), and the originals still exist on classified computer systems. More fake news hysteria!

It’s clear they’re trying to distract everyone’s attention.

Not only that, an administration official adds “everyone involved in the process of eliminating” the files USAID collected “had a secret security clearance or higher, and were not among those placed on administrative leave.

As a result, those involved were familiar with the content they were handling and were specifically appointed by the agency to review and conduct the purge.

The remaining few USAID staffers were instructed by email to “shred as many documents first, and reserve the burn bags for when the shredder becomes unavailable or needs a break.
