Communist China responded to President Donald Trump’s tariffs by mocking Americans in AI-generated videos shared on social media.
Trump has imposed massive reciprocal tariffs on China, arguing that the communist country has long been taking advantage of the United States and has been cheating the market. In response, China increased their tariffs on the U.S. — while other countries that faced tariffs have rushed to the negotiating table with the Trump administration. Trump then announced a 125% tariff on China in retaliation for being “disrespectful,” while at the same time pausing tariffs on other countries that were willing to negotiate better trade deals.
Now, China is mocking Americans on social media because of the tariffs and because of Trump’s plans to return manufacturing to the U.S. to give Americans more job opportunities.
The mockery came in the form of AI-generated videos that show morbidly obese Americans working in warehouses and factories:
The videos quickly went viral on social media, with leftists sharing them while trying to mock the Trump administration — though it ended up backfiring on them, as many pointed out how elitist the left looks when they mock working-class people and highlighted the fact that they were sharing Chinese propaganda.
This news came as Trump continued to slam China on social media for refusing to negotiate better trade agreements, as China has been tariffing the U.S. for decades, but is now outraged that the Trump administration would dare give them a taste of their own medicine.
“Based on the lack of respect that China has shown to the World’s Markets, I am hereby raising the Tariff charged to China by the United States of America to 125%, effective immediately. At some point, hopefully in the near future, China will realize that the days of ripping off the U.S.A., and other Countries, is no longer sustainable or acceptable,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
“Conversely, and based on the fact that more than 75 Countries have called Representatives of the United States, including the Departments of Commerce, Treasury, and the USTR, to negotiate a solution to the subjects being discussed relative to Trade, Trade Barriers, Tariffs, Currency Manipulation, and Non Monetary Tariffs, and that these Countries have not, at my strong suggestion, retaliated in any way, shape, or form against the United States, I have authorized a 90 day PAUSE, and a substantially lowered Reciprocal Tariff during this period, of 10%, also effective immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” he added.
Trump administration finally cuts the taxpayer umbilical cord to Planned Parenthood, putting $27.5 million on hold while investigating whether the abortion giant violated laws against DEI schemes and servicing illegal immigrants.

The Trump administration has paused $27.5 million in federal funding for 16 organizations, including 11 Planned Parenthood affiliates
Funding freeze comes amid compliance review of potential violations of Trump’s executive orders on DEI initiatives and services to illegal immigrants
Organizations have 10 days to prove compliance with federal regulations and executive orders
Critics claim the pause will impact healthcare access, while supporters see it as proper fiscal oversight of taxpayer dollars
Trump Administration Demands Accountability from Planned Parenthood
The Department of Health and Human Services has put Planned Parenthood on notice, temporarily freezing $27.5 million in federal funding while investigating whether the abortion provider violated federal law and presidential directives. At least 11 Planned Parenthood affiliates across the country received notices that their Title X funding is on hold pending a compliance review. The funding pause affects organizations providing family planning services in seven states and comes as part of the administration’s broader efforts to ensure federal contractors follow the law rather than leftist ideological agendas.
The HHS investigation appears focused on whether Planned Parenthood violated Trump’s executive orders prohibiting federal contractors from engaging in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs and ensuring taxpayer funds don’t go toward services for illegal immigrants. The funding notices specifically cited clinics’ commitment to black communities and services for undocumented immigrants as potential compliance issues – practices that were actively encouraged under the Biden administration but run contrary to Trump’s directive to end racial preferences and benefits for illegal aliens.
Leftists Cry Foul While Administration Enforces the Law
Like clockwork, the abortion industry and its allies are portraying basic fiscal oversight as an attack on women’s healthcare. Planned Parenthood leadership is already claiming the pause will result in dire health consequences, but conveniently fails to mention the organization’s billion-dollar annual budget, hefty executive salaries, and extensive political operations. The affected organizations have been given 10 days to provide evidence they’re complying with federal regulations – a reasonable timeframe for any government contractor to demonstrate proper use of taxpayer dollars.
“We know what happens when health care providers cannot use Title X funding. People across the country suffer, cancers go undetected, access to birth control is severely reduced, and the nation’s STI crisis worsens.” said Alexis McGill Johnson.
What McGill Johnson and other abortion advocates won’t admit is that Planned Parenthood has been steadily decreasing actual healthcare services while increasing abortions for years. Cancer screenings have plummeted at Planned Parenthood facilities over the past decade, while abortion numbers have climbed. The organization’s obsession with DEI initiatives and providing services to illegal immigrants—potentially in violation of federal law—shows where its true priorities lie. The Trump administration is simply ensuring taxpayer dollars aren’t funding activities that violate executive orders or federal statutes.
Constitutional Oversight vs. Leftist Entitlement
This funding pause exemplifies the constitutional approach to government the Trump administration promised: executive agencies ensuring that taxpayer dollars are spent according to law, not ideological whims. The Biden administration scrapped Trump’s previous Title X rules in 2021, allowing abortion referrals and restoring funding to Planned Parenthood with minimal accountability. Now the left is outraged that their taxpayer gravy train might face actual oversight. Let’s be clear – this isn’t about denying healthcare; it’s about ensuring organizations receiving federal funds follow federal law.
“The administration would have been well within its rights to say, ‘We have a new president with new priorities, so we’re going to give you 30 days, 45 days, even just two weeks, to amend your application,'” said Clare Coleman.
The HHS has made it clear that “no final decisions on any spending changes for Planned Parenthood have been made,” giving the organizations ample opportunity to demonstrate compliance. If Planned Parenthood and other providers are following the law, they should have no trouble providing evidence and having their funding restored. But if they’ve been using taxpayer dollars to advance DEI programs or provide services to illegal immigrants in violation of executive orders, they deserve to have that funding revoked. Americans deserve accountability for how their tax dollars are spent, especially when it comes to the abortion industry.
Harvard University is borrowing $750 million through taxable bonds as the prestigious institution faces threats to its essential federal research funding under increased scrutiny from the Trump administration.
At a Glance
Harvard plans to borrow $750 million through taxable bonds amid uncertainty over $9 billion in federal funding
This follows a previous $450 million issuance, bringing Harvard’s total borrowing for fiscal 2025 to $1.2 billion
Federal agencies are demanding policy changes, including eliminating DEI programs and banning masks during protests
Despite a massive $53 billion endowment, Harvard relies heavily on federal grants for research operations
The university faces a potential 35% tax on its endowment under proposed policies
Financial Contingency Planning at Harvard
Harvard University is taking extraordinary financial measures by planning a $750 million taxable bond sale amid growing concerns over its federal funding. With Goldman Sachs as the sole bookrunner, this decision follows a previous $450 million bond issuance in March, pushing Harvard’s total borrowing for fiscal year 2025 to an unprecedented $1.2 billion. The bonds have received top ratings from credit agencies, with Moody’s assigning an Aaa rating and S&P Global providing a AAA rating, reflecting Harvard’s strong market position despite current uncertainties.
“As part of ongoing contingency planning for a range of financial circumstances, Harvard is evaluating resources needed to advance its academic and research priorities” stated a spokesperson for Harvard.
The university’s financial maneuvering includes maintaining a $1.5 billion revolving credit facility and $3 billion of commercial paper capacity. These actions are part of a broader trend among elite universities seeking to secure liquidity amid federal funding uncertainties. Princeton University is reportedly considering similar measures in response to suspended research grants, highlighting the widespread impact of current federal scrutiny on higher education institutions.
Harvard’s reliance on federal funding is more significant than many Americans realize. Despite possessing a massive $53 billion endowment, the university depends heavily on federal grants and contracts, which accounted for 11% of its operating revenues in the last fiscal year. The Trump administration has paused a review of approximately $9 billion in research funding allocated to Harvard through various federal agencies, placing critical scientific and medical research in jeopardy.
“For colleges, it’s a “strategic and very fiscally astute decision to shore up any liquidity that they have due to the extreme uncertainty” said Lisa Washburn.
Federal agencies have accused Harvard of failing to adequately protect students against anti-Semitic harassment and violating anti-discrimination laws. In response, they have issued a series of demands that Harvard must meet to continue receiving federal funds. These demands include eliminating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, banning masks during protests, and prioritizing merit-based admissions and hiring practices. The potential loss of federal funding could severely impact Harvard’s ability to conduct life-saving research and continue scientific innovation.
Financial Disclosures and Future Implications
Harvard has taken the unusual step of explicitly warning investors about the potential adverse effects of federal funding threats in its bond documents. This transparent disclosure highlights the seriousness with which the university views the current situation. Other elite institutions, including Stanford, the University of Pennsylvania, and Princeton, are also considering or have already issued large debt offerings, indicating an industry-wide response to funding uncertainties.
“While the financial impact on the university of any developments at the federal level cannot be quantified at this time, they may, directly or indirectly, have a material adverse effect on the current and future financial profile and operating performance of the university” stated Harvard.
Beyond the immediate threats to research funding, Harvard also faces potential changes to federal tax policies. A proposed 35% tax on endowments exceeding $10 billion would directly impact Harvard’s financial structure and long-term stability. These combined pressures demonstrate how even the wealthiest educational institutions in America remain vulnerable to shifts in government policy. As Harvard navigates these challenges, its decisions will likely set precedents for how elite universities balance academic independence with federal compliance requirements.
