Since the rise of President Donald Trump exposed the national media for the lying propagandists they really are, it wouldn’t look too good to pull another Stephen Colbert-bashing-Bush moment at the White House Correspondents dinner. Since lefties always want to have their cake and eat it too, though, they will now hold a “Not the White House Correspondents Dinner” with Samantha Bee as host.
In a press release, purported comedienne Bee promised a night of roasting The Donald without the repercussions of actually doing it in his presence.
“Executives at TBS offered their full support of the gala by nodding politely and then muttering under their breath as we turned around," said Bee. "The evening is sure to bring plenty of surprises, music, food and laughter — and if you're not careful you just might learn something. Specifically, you’ll learn how screwed we'd be without a free press."
By “free press,” Bee means liberal sycophants fawning over a left-wing messiah.
WHCA president Jeff Mason told The Hollywood Reporter the actual dinner will continue per usual.
"The WHCA looks forward to hosting our annual dinner this year as we do every year to celebrate the First Amendment, reward some of the finest reporting of the past year and recognize promising young student journalists."
