Malawi: Muslims rampage after Friday prayers, destroy liquor stores and other places selling beer

Here again we see that the frequently enunciated Islamic critique of the West as a sinkhole of vice and immorality, compared to the purity and uprightness of Sharia states, is not based on genuine virtue, but upon force. The residents of Mangochi, or at least some of them — those who were going to buy this beer — don’t abstain from alcohol because they’re virtuous and want to please Allah. They abstain because there is no alcohol to buy, it has all been destroyed by this rampaging mob, stirred up in Friday prayers. They aren’t good, if that is good, by choice; they’re good because they have no choice.

Some Muslims on Friday went on rampage after prayers, destroying liquor shops and other places that sell beer at Mangochi boma.
In several video clips that are circulating in various social media platforms, the Muslims, most of them in their religious robes and caps, could be seen stoning the beer places.
They can be heard saying they do not want beer in Mangochi, saying it is Malawi’s Mecca, in reference to the Muslim holy city of Saudi Arabia.
They also pulled down billboards and signposts with beer advertisements.
Calm has returned after the police managed to disperse the mostly youthful Muslims who were armed with stones….</blockquote

  1. It appears that Islamic preaching is more intoxicating than Windhoek beer. Once upon a time some Evangelical type people would tell people who were having a glass of wine or beer with their Sunday dinner that they were defiling the Lord’s day but they certainly did not run amuck and destroy the object of their dislike. I guess this attitude in the South led me to believe in the old motto of live and let live but not today in a Muslim inhabited hell hole. Having visited friends in a small town in western North Carolina, I noticed that people tended to mind their own business as my friends were having wine and no one even took notice but it appears that Muslims are incapable of leaving other people alone.

    • Ray, Islam has official ‘hisbah’ and unofficial vigilantism to accomplish the will of Allah and Mohammed.

  3. The word of the day is ‘HISBAH’. All students are expected to memorize for the exam:
    The concept of hisbah in Islam originates from a set of Qur’anic verses and Hadiths. It is an obligation placed on every Muslim to call for what is good or right and to prevent or denounce what is bad or wrong. The Koran states: “Let there arise from you a ‘community’ (umma) calling to all that is good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong. It is these who are successful.” (Koran 3:104). A hadith states: “Whosoever among you sees an act of wrong SHOULD CHANGE IT WITH HIS HANDS. If he is not able to do so, then he should change it with his tongue. If he is not able to do so, then with his heart, and this is the weakest of faith.” (Sahih Muslim, 49)
    Hisbah (Arabic: حسبة‎ ḥisbah) is an Islamic doctrine which means “accountability”. Hisbah is an individual or collective duty (depending on the school of law) to intervene and “enjoin good and forbid wrong”
    Hisbah is Islamic quality assurance and quality control. The individual has no say in Islam, since all are ‘slaves’.

    • Mortimer, from what you have just said it would appear that the use of the term HISBAH is the ultimate in hypocrisy. If these cretins actually practiced what it is supposed to mean then this site would have no reason to exist.
      The other thing to look at is the reason why these young men are so angry.
      the facts seem simple, it’s hot in Africa, very hot, and Islam forbids the downing of a cold beer. I’d be pretty pissed off to if that was the case!

    “After Friday prayers”–in other words, they were whipped up by the Kutbahs at the Mosque. We so often see violence against Infidels and lax or other-sect Muslims on Fridays.

    So true. I rarely drink myself, and there are three corner liquor stores, three supermarkets, several bars, four beer gardens, and a number of restaurants that serve wine and beer within a half mile of my home. I don’t mind if other people want to have a drink.

  7. Also, Malawi is less than 13% Muslim–it is a largely Christian country, But this does not stop Muslims from rioting and attacking Infidels.

    • Is it? I checked out ‘Islam in Malawi’ in wiki, and it puts the number at 26%. Malawi is a small country of <20 million people, so it shouldn't take too many people to swing the numbers

  9. Forced virtue is sham virtue. Fitting since Islam is a sham overall and its “virtue” rests excessively upon force (e.g., death for apostasy).
    You’d think by now Islam would disappear for no other reason than that it has been laughed out of existence, so blatantly silly, control-freakish and stupid is it. But no, Islam persists and this functions as a commentary on our species most negatively.
    Foolish world. Islam’s continued existence alone proves this.

    • People know almost nothing about religion, morality, virtue, or ethics. For example, how many people know that morality is a calculation? If these acts are moral, then the Muslims who committed them need to show how they increase love. In fact, they increase hatred of Muslims and Allah as all of their jihads do.
      It doesn’t stop with the Friday riots. The Koran, itself, is unethical and immoral when it says, “Do not be friends with the unbelievers”, and that phrase is cited over and over (about 10 times in the first 15 pages). It is unethical and immoral to divorce yourself from your brother for any reason.
      If alcohol is a sin, then how is it that Jesus, who is an Islamic prophet according to the Muslims, is found drinking wine a number of times in the scriptures? Even the commemoration of His death and resurrection has wine being called the blood of God. Do Muslim prophets have no virtue?

  12. Now they’re into Malawi!! How do these scum get into other countries?? What are the respective Governments doing? Over 80% have no skills whatsoever. They are illiterate, feral scum who breed like bunnies. All they offer is the demise of a country & anarchy.
