India: Leading organization of Islamic scholars gives financial and legal aid to jihad murderers of Hindu leader

Hasn’t “the Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, which roughly translates to Council of Indian Muslim Theologians,” gotten the memo that Islamic jihad terrorism has nothing whatsoever to do with Islam, and that jihad terrorists aren’t Muslims? Why, in the West, every non-Muslim politician, great and small, knows that! Pope Francis, call your office!
“Jamiat Ulem-e-Hind extends legal and financial support to Islamists who brutally murdered Hindu activist Kamlesh Tiwari,” OpIndia, October 26, 2019:
The Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, which roughly translates to Council of Indian Muslim Theologians belonging to the Deobandi school of thought has extended legal and financial aid to the Islamists accused in the Kamlesh Tiwari murder. The Muslim Council has said that it is willing to bear all the legal costs and also offered the held of their legal cell to defend the 5 accused in the Kamlesh Tiwari murder….
After the 5 were arrested for brutally murdering Hindu activist Kamlesh Tiwari for allegedly insulting the Prophet of Islam in 2015, Jamaat Ulema-e-Hind met the family members of those arrested and asked then what help they would need in the proceedings. The family members reportedly told the members of the Jamiat that they required legal and financial assistance.

  2. Had this taken place in the West, similar organizations would possibly do the same, but under the table, while denouncing them publicly and claiming those criticizing their actions were “islamophobic racists”…

  3. This is yet more Deobandism. Deobandism is a revivalist that claims ‘Sharia is the answer’ to all the woes of India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. It became the religious base for much of the Taliban and many Taliban leaders and fighters studied in Deobandi seminaries. Deobandis were highly influenced by Wahhabism and financed by Saudi Arabia. Deobandi Islam is linked historically to the disenfranchisement of the Mughal rulers in India, so there is a smoldering ‘revanchism’ within it. Some Deobandis opposed the creation of Pakistan because they felt united Muslims would be more powerful without partition.
    So, if you see this group as the Indian branch of the Taliban, you wouldn’t be very far off.

    • True! What is a disgrace is that this sect has a home in India: every adherent of this creed should have been bundled off to Pakistan. And they probably would have been, had it not been for the Nehru/Gandhis

      • Very well said. India was plagued for nearly 7 decades by the egregious ideology and mind-set of the Gandhi-Nehru-Gandhi gang (as I prefer to call them). Clearly, the residual effect still persists. The BJP government under Modi has yet to take decisive steps to eliminate the verminous Islamist terrorist groups that abhor the very idea of India and its ancient Vedic civilisation. Yes, the Modi regime has recently taken very welcome decisions on Jammu & Kashmir, by eliminating the woeful “special status” of that State, but somehow it still allows the nerve centres of Islamist terror to operate openly. This is a scandalous state of affairs that no self-respecting country should permit to continue.

  8. Wouldn’t an accused terrorist be given free legal assistance in the U.S. if he otherwise couldn’t afford it?
    Is the State therefore a sympathetic supporter of terrorism? Of course not.
    One may or may not support an individual’s actions but still support his/her having legal representation.
    Also, don’t many muslims consider it obligatory to defend other muslims against the infidel regardless of the crime?
    Do I believe that this support is more about supporting the act than supporting the individual’s rights? I may but it doesn’t make it so.

      Are you *really* implying that the Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind would give legal assistance to Anti-Jihadists, “blasphemers”, apostates or “heretics”? Try again…
