ABIDING LIFE SERIES | Abide in MeAbiding in Yeshua is not merely a spiritual discipline—it is the essence of the believer’s union with the indwelling Christ.
“Abide in Me” | Written by Stephen Phinney | Vocalist Elijah Musika | Produced by iZ Music ProductionsABIDING LIFE SERIES | 7-Areas of LifeJane and I have spent a lifetime ministering to individuals and families who long for wholeness but remain fractured by compartmentalized living. We’ve watched countless believers pursue spiritual growth while neglecting emotional wounds, relational breakdowns, or financial chaos—never realizing that the Life of Christ was meant to indwell every area of their existence. That’s why we’re writing this series: to proclaim that the Abiding Life is not a theological concept reserved for Sunday mornings, but a transformative reality meant to saturate the spiritual, psychological, social, physical, parental, marital, and financial dimensions of life. Each book will serve as a prophetic invitation to stop striving, start abiding, and allow Christ’s indwelling presence to reorder every corner of the soul. Our burden is rooted in decades of discipleship, counseling, and personal testimony. We’ve seen firsthand how believers struggle to reconcile their faith with the pressures of daily living—how spiritual truths often remain disconnected from emotional health, parenting challenges, or financial stewardship. The enemy thrives in these gaps, sowing confusion, division, and despair. But when the believer begins to abide in Christ—not just in prayer, but in thought, emotion, relationship, and responsibility—those gaps close. The Seven Areas of Life are not random categories; they are battlegrounds where the old thought patterns left behind by the old nature’s condition, which seeks dominance and where the indwelling Life must be invited to reign. This series is also deeply personal. Jane and I have warred through seasons of grief, relational strain, and ministry fatigue, learning through surrender that Christ is not merely sufficient—He is supreme. We’ve watched Him heal psychological trauma, restore broken relationships, and provide in ways that defy logic. These books will not offer formulas or self-help strategies. They will offer Christ. Each volume will be rooted in Scripture, saturated in testimony, and designed to equip readers to walk in abiding victory—not by managing life, but by exchanging it. Our prayer is that this series will awaken a generation to the fullness of Christ’s indwelling Life and commission them to live whole, holy, and wholly His. Abiding in Yeshua is not merely a spiritual discipline—it is the essence of the believer’s union with the indwelling Christ. In John 15, Yeshua declares, “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.” This abiding is not passive proximity; it is active dependence. It means remaining, dwelling, and continuing in Him—not just in moments of prayer or worship, but in every thought, decision, and relationship. The biblical view of abiding is rooted in surrender from within, where the believer ceases from striving and allows the Life of Yeshua to flow through every area of existence. It is the divine exchange: our weakness for His strength, our confusion for His clarity, our flesh for His Spirit. Scripture reveals that abiding is the only pathway to fruitfulness, peace, and spiritual authority. It is not a method to master, but a Person to receive. Galatians 2:20 echoes this truth: “It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” The abiding believer does not live by effort, emotion, or external validation, but by the indwelling presence of Messiah. This union transforms the mind, sanctifies the body, and restores identity. It is the antidote to the busy mind, the fractured soul, and the striving heart. To abide in Yeshua is to live from His Life, not for Him—and in that Life, the believer finds rest, renewal, and the power to walk whole and holy. The abiding Life of Christ is not merely a spiritual benefit—it is the very foundation of the believer’s identity in and through Yeshua. When a person is born again, they are not improved; they are exchanged. The old nature, with its self-driven identity, is crucified, and the believer receives a new identity rooted in the indwelling presence of Messiah. This abiding Life defines who we are, how we think, and how we live. It is no longer “I” who defines the self, but Christ who lives within (Galatians 2:20). In Him, identity is no longer shaped by performance, emotion, or circumstance—it is anchored in eternal union. The believer is not just connected to Yeshua; they are inhabited by Him. This truth dismantles the striving mind and restores the soul to rest, clarity, and purpose. Abiding is not optional—it is the only way to live as who we truly are: sons and daughters indwelt by the Life that cannot be shaken. Visit our Author Spotlight Page to review 20+ books HERE.
