The System Over SNAP Now Entering The ‘Find Out’ Phase
If you thought the billions wasted under Tim Walz made them care about fraud... guess again

As INTEREST payments on the national debt clock in as our second-biggest line item, and trillion(s!) are now added to the debt every year, cleaning up waste and fraud ought to be a no-brainer.
Unless that waste and fraud is propping up a house of cards and a dirty system of kickbacks and quid pro quos you really don’t want the public knowing about. Like the ones that recently came to light in Minnesota.
Or, maybe the taxpayer really HAS been on the hook for the expenses incurred in all of those sanctuary cities, and partisans have been cooking the books to hide it.
But when Trump’s administration came in, there was a new sheriff in town. It will take some doing to get past Schumer stonewalling on spending reforms and passing new budgets. But even within the administration, there are levers that can be pulled to help right the ship, financially.
The cancelling of that Billion-dollar payday for Stacey Abrams’ bogus NGO was an early sign that the gravy train that constituted the jaw-dropping waste and misuse of tax dollars of the Biden era was about to be derailed.
At the beginning of the year, States were asked to give an accounting of the people receiving benefits. Red states have complied, and where sources of fraud existed, they have been identified. But Blue states, including Minnesota, New York, and California have NOT cooperated by opening their books.
Secretary Brooke Rollins @SecRollins:
NO DATA, NO MONEY — it’s that simple.
If a state won’t share data on criminal use of SNAP benefits, it won’t get a dollar of federal SNAP administrative funding.
Let’s see which states stand for accountability and which are just protecting their bribery schemes.
The math really isn’t that hard, people: If you don’t want to cooperate with federal efforts to prevent fraud, don’t ask federal taxpayers for money.
Twenty-nine red states provided that data.
Twenty-one blue states refused.
Food stamp funding in the Biden era ramped up 40% in his effort to buy votes.
The fact that blue states do NOT want the books opened is all the more reason to open them up and see what’s in there.
