Notes:

The Beast (or nation) in Revelation 13:2 has the same characteristics as the 3 preceding nations before it. Daniel 7:3-8.

The 1260 years was from 538 AD to 1798 AD. After the Ostrogoths were destroyed in 538 AD, the Vatican formed as a church and state power. This power ended in 1798 AD with Napoleon and the French Revolution, where the Pope was taken captive to France and the Vatican ceased from being a political entity. This was the deadly wound in Revelation 13:3.

1260 years explained:
3½ times (Daniel 7:25; 12:7; Revelation 12:14)
= 42 months (Revelation 13:5, 7)
= 1260 days (Revelation 11:3; 12:6)
= 1260 years (from 538 AD -- 1798 AD)

* In the Bible, times = years (Job 24:1; Psalm 31:10, 15)
* In the Bible, a biblical month has 30 days (Genesis 7:11, 24; 8:3-4)
* In prophecy, a day = a year (Numbers 14:34; Ezekiel 4:6)


The people of God "keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." Revelation 12:17. "The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." Revelation 19:10. Thus, only God's servants (Amos 3:7), who love and obey God (keep the Sabbath), will have the privilege of understanding prophecy.

Notes on the right hand and the forehead:

In prophecy, the right hand can represent...

-To be forced against our will (Jeremiah 34:3; 38:23; 42:11; Ezekiel 21:24)
-To be in someone else's control (Genesis 16:6; Joshua 21:44; 24:8, 10, 11; Judges 2:16; 3:28; 1 Samuel 27:1; 2 Samuel 22:1; Jeremiah 37:17; 38:5; Ezekiel 21:24)
-To be wicked, violent, or undisciplined (Genesis 16:12; Isaiah 59:6; Micah 2:1; 7:3)
-To be destroyed by someone else (1 Samuel 23:17; 27:1; 2 Samuel 24:16; 2 Chronicles 28:5)
-To be in royal favour (1 Kings 2:19; Matthew 25:33)
-A symbol of physical labour or work (Ecclesiastes 9:10)
-Falsehood (Psalm 144:7-8, 11)
-Going astray (Joshua 23:6, 8; 2 Samuel 14:19; Proverbs 4:27)
-The difference of Salvation! (Job 40:14; Psalm 17:7; 108:6; Isaiah 37:20; 59:1; Matthew 5:30)

In prophecy, the forehead is...

-Where the Law of God is written under the New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-34; Hebrews 8:10-11; 10:16)
-Where the servants of God were marked in the past (Ezekiel 9:4; Revelation 9:4)
-Where the wickedness of Babylon is written (Revelation 17:5)
-Where ancient Israel was stubborn and rebellious (Jeremiah 3:3)
-Where the Seal of God will be placed in the future (Revelation 7:2-3; 14:1)
-Where the name (character) of Christ will be for the redeemed (Revelation 22:4)

Also note that:
-We serve the Law of God with our minds (Romans 7:25)
-The forehead can refer to the brave, fearless attitude, which all true servants of God will possess (Proverbs 28:1; Ezekiel 3:8-9)

When mentioned together, the right hand and the forehead indicate:
-Keeping God's principles (Exodus 13:9, 16)
-Keeping the Ten Commandments (Deuteronomy 6:6-8; 11:18)

The Seal of God exists only in the forehead, and not in the right hand. According to Isaiah 8:16, God's Law will be sealed amongst His people. In the Bible, a seal (or sign) is also a type of mark (Romans 4:11). God's SEAL is keeping His Sabbath (Exodus 31:16-17; Ezekiel 20:12, 20).

Yep, the odds are that if you have a Christian child today, they will almost certainly lose their faith during their high-school and college years.

Most Christian parents want their kids to keep their faith when they get older. But sadly, the stats show that's probably not going to happen.
The truth is that your kids will probably lose their faith. This is what the stats say, and the numbers don't lie.
Yep, the odds are that if you have a Christian child today, they will almost certainly lose their faith during their high-school and college years.
But to make matters worse, many Christian parents naively send their child off to the front lines of this culture war (the modern high-school and college) with absolutely no training in what has been called the Demonstratio Christiana – the science which shows that Jesus Christ claimed and proved Himself to be a messenger sent by God to teach a doctrine of salvation that is obligatory on all men – a science better known as Christian apologetics.
This is incredibly irresponsible parenting. Every Christian parent has a duty to raise their child in the faith. And sending you child off to a university in today's secular world without some hardcore training in Christian apologetics is not only foolish, it's a serious sin of omission.
As Christians, we must, we absolutely must, teach ourselves and the next generation how to deal with the intellectual assaults against our faith.
