In a shocking act of antisemitic vandalism, multiple mezuzahs were torn down last weekend from the doorways of Jewish residents of a Toronto retirement home.
Following this heinous desecration, the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) launched the #MezuzahChallenge, urging social media users of all faiths to post pictures of mezuzahs to show solidarity with the Jewish people and prove hate will not win.
Other incidents documented by the Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM across the globe this week included:
- France: A 42-year-old nanny from Algeria is being prosecuted over allegations she attempted to poison a Jewish family she worked for in a Paris suburb.
- Canada: A list of Toronto area Jewish institutions said to be linked to Canadian veterans of the IDF was published online by an anti-Israel activist.
- United States: A group of students at Branham High School in San Jose, California, were photographed forming a Nazi swastika on a football field.
Florida Blacklists Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis issued an executive order on Monday designating the Muslim Brotherhood and Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as "foreign terrorist organizations," following a similar move by Texas Governor Greg Abbott last month.
Columbia University Antisemitism Task Force Publishes Final Report
Columbia University's Task Force on Antisemitism released its fourth and final report on Tuesday, detailing "disturbing incidents in which the academic freedom of Jewish and Israeli Columbia students was not protected."
