Started with my new Dr. and she finally got my records after a month long wait. I was hoping to get some good news in regards to a stronger raise in medication strength for chronic pain medication. However, instead I was told by my Dr. she was going to be cutting my medication starting today from Nor-co 10's to Nor-co 7's in order to reduce me until i am weened off completely from any and all pain medications. I asked her well what about my pain? Wasn't that any consideration in this grand plan in me getting clean from pain medication. Well she told me, I would feel so much better with the medication free from my system. But what about the pain I said. Then she gave me a specimen bottle and asked for a urine sample to tell me that in order to get my med's filled she would need to see if my system was clean of any other med's that were illegal and then she would give me the prescription for pain med's. That now I would be drug tested when she felt at any time it was needed. That the state wanted me monitored. Some how at 62, soon to become 63 this coming May had become a Nor-co drug fend. Plus since Medicare did not cover the drug test in her office lab I would have to pay $36.00 right there, right then in order to get the med's prescription released to me that day. 

So know I have to deal with pain med's that are not going to work since they will be down graded. The pain will grow worse more & more every day until the point were I will not be able to walk any more. After thee day i had yesterday i realized i will not be able to do grocery shopping any more. I will not be able to get out of the house any of my four days of the month any more except once a month on Dr. visit day. It seems that i need to be brought to the point were the pain gets so bad that i will need to be hospitalized then I can be referd to a pain clinic for help. Were is the logic to this? I mean I asked the Dr. several times why my pain was not being acknowledged by the government. State government just made it so hard on Dr. because at one time they gave pain killers freely to anyone that asked. Now because of that, people ho really need help have to suffer. and that is just the way it is until it can get under control. 

So until then, when it gets to the point I can no longer deal with the pain, or I feel that i may hurt myself in order to stop the pain is to turn myself into the hospital & get a 24 hour suicide watch. However the medicare may not cover the suicide watch so in that case notify the local police and they will check in on me for free. 

I am getting so tired of all this. I no longer know what to do. I am so tired of being in pain. The med's i have for pain do not work that well at all. I wonder if I should just quite cold turkey. I mean I am already at home any way. I have spent the last four summers inside . So I have been doing a lot of praying you guys.
