U.S. Feminist Nun Urges Liberal Religious Orders to Resist “Hostile” Vatican Visitation

By Hilary White
ROME, March 6, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A self-proclaimed feminist religious sister has urged her fellows in the feminist Catholic movement to "non-violent" resistance against an upcoming Vatican-mandated visitation into the lives and works of American religious orders. Vatican visitors to the convent, wrote Sr. Sandra M. Schneiders, should be received "politely and kindly," but not welcomed, honored or cooperated with.
Sr. Schneiders, a member of the Sisters Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and a professor of New Testament studies and Christian spirituality at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, California, wrote a thousand-word email, published Friday in the left-leaning National Catholic Reporter, in which she urged other members of the feminist religious orders not to "panic."
"We cannot, of course, keep them from investigating. But we can receive them, politely and kindly, for what they are, uninvited guests who should be received in the parlor, not given the run of the house. When people ask questions they shouldn’t ask, the questions should be answered accordingly," Sr. Schneiders wrote.
In January, when the Vatican announced it would be conducting a "visitation" of some women’s religious orders in the US, many faithful Catholics expressed their appreciation that serious attention was to be paid to what they see as a major crisis in the US Church, that of the virtual dissolution of the active religious life.
In the last four decades, many of the active religious orders have become leaders in the radical feminist movement, with full support for abortion, divorce, contraception and homosexuality, and systematic opposition to the teachings of the Catholic Church on the sanctity of life and marriage. In the meantime, these communities have been reduced to a numeric shadow of their former selves. With thousands of sisters leaving convents in the 1960s and ‘70s, and scarce recruits since, many communities are merging and even shutting down operations, and the average age of US active sisters now hovers around 70.
In her email, Sr. Schneiders urged her confreres in the feminist religious orders to "be honest but reserved, supply no ammunition that can be aimed at us, be non-violent even in the face of violence ... Non-violent resistance is what finally works as we’ve found out in so many arenas."
Accusing the recent Vatican visitators in US seminaries of being "aggressive and dishonest," Sr. Schneider called the Visitation a "hostile move" intended to quash the work of a "renewal of Religious Life" undertaken by feminist sisters over the last forty years. It is, she said, a "fake war being stirred up by the Vatican at the instigation of the frightened."
She concludes, "The institutional Church has always resisted the new in Religious Life, especially among women. But the new will continue to happen. At this moment in history, we are it."
Sr. Schneiders’ email is making the rounds amongst Catholic commentators, who have commented widely that, in their opinion, Sr. Schneiders’ view is representative of a dying and outdated movement in the US Church.
Elizabeth Scalia, writing for the online edition of the influential First Things magazine, said that far from being "the new," the feminist and heavily secularized religious orders are yesterday’s news. "In truth, Sr. Schneiders was ‘it’ in 1972," Scalia wrote. "Religious Life for women in the United States will be defined in the next few decades by those orders that manage to thrive in a world where the values of chastity, humility, and obedience are misunderstood."
The US spokesman for the Apostolic Visitation, Sister Eva Maria Ackerman, told LifeSiteNews.com that the Visitation is intended only as a means of bolstering the works and life of American religious sisters. She rejected the accusation that the Visitation is an attack on a certain kind of religious order.
Sr. Ackerman told LSN that there was nothing to say in response to Sr. Schneiders’ email, because for purposes of their work, her opinion is "irrelevant." The Visitation, said Sr. Ackerman, is an attempt by the Church to gauge the "vitality of religious life in the US Church." Four hundred communities, she said, are involved in the various phases and many superiors of religious communities are already preparing to work closely with the visitors.
"The Church esteems the religious life," she said. "Religious in this country continue even with fewer sisters and older members to serve the Church in a variety of ways." The purpose of the Visitation then, she said, is to see where the strengths lie and to help bolster them and prepare for the future.
While the communities of sisters represented by the feminist organization, the Leadership Conference of Women Religious, are generally aging and shrinking, new communities are arising who have consciously rejected the "progressivist" hostility towards the Catholic Church and retained the traditions of the religious life. These communities, together with some existing orders who refused to follow the progressivist trend, are represented by the more recently founded Council of Major Superiors of Women Religious, and are burgeoning with eager young recruits. The new orders are invariably staunchly pro-life and pro-family, with many being founded especially to do pro-life work.
These vibrant new communities also tend to be keenly aware of the value of the internet to reach out to potential new recruits. With this in mind, Sr. Ackerman’s office has set up a website for those interested in following the progress of the Visitation and has even started a group on the internet social networking site Facebook.
Mother Clare Millea, the sister appointed by Rome to coordinate the Visitation, wrote on the group’s webpage, "I am coming to a new appreciation for the great advantage of modern technology for getting out the ‘good news’ about the Apostolic Visitation. I appreciate also how this communications and networking tool is bringing people like you and your Friends together for the common good - the prayerful support of religious life in our country."
"There’s a great deal of hope," said Sr. Ackerman, "that there will be strengthening where it needs to be strengthened."
"We have great hope that some very good strong things will come out of it."

Pope Francis has removed every single member of the Vatican pro-life academy

February 17, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) – The Pontifical Academy for Life, long a bastion of orthodoxy within the Vatican, now has no members and is effectively shut down after Pope Francis’ recent reform of the institution.
The pope issued new statutes for the Academy on October 18, and removed all of its members.
“All members’ terms ended on December 31, 2016; currently the Academy is waiting for the new appointments,” Fr. Andrea Ciucci, a staff member of the Pontifical Council for the Family, told LifeSiteNews.
“We expect new members to be nominated by the appointment of the Holy Father within the next weeks,” Ciucci explained. They expect 75 ordinary members to be appointed, he said. Together with the ordinary appointments, the pope is launching a sub-group called “College of Young Scholars,” consisting of younger researchers in the given fields. Altogether the new appointees will not exceed 100 members.

Christine de Marcellus Vollmer, an Academy member since its founding by St. John Paul II in 1994, sent LifeSiteNews the Academy’s Christmas letter in which directives were given and recent changes explained.
The letter addressed to all members announced Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia's nomination as president as well as the re-working of the statutes. At the same time it announced that annual recurring meetings would be suspended, de-inviting participants from a future assembly.
Vollmer explained that in May the Academy's members were invited for a general assembly in March 2017 which was then “postponed” indefinitely. This notice of delay was followed by a document explaining that all members were “suspended.” Only recently news surfaced that the next general assembly is to take place October 2017.
Academy assemblies bring together specialists from all over the world to discuss a certain topic and have an interdisciplinary exchange of expertise.
Another Academy member, who wished to remain anonymous for “fear of jeopardizing reappointment,” affirmed these developments.
“I did get a letter,” the source told LifeSiteNews via email. “They said they were reconfiguring. They said people would be notified of reappointment. I have heard nothing so far but when I asked [they said] people could expect to hear about it in April or May. The meeting will be in October.”
On the Academy’s website, the list of ordinary members is currently recorded as none, while all previous 172 members are registered with their appointment having ended on December 31, 2016. The “Central Office” is recorded as consisting of Archbishop Paglia and his seven-person team.
Last year Pope Francis replaced the head of the Academy and changed its statutes. His reforms include the removal of the requirement for members to sign a pro-life declaration.
Vollmer commented with concern, saying: “Originally we each had to make an oath in front of the Nuncio of our country that we would be Servants of Life and uphold the teaching on life of the Magisterium.  We have not seen of course the new ‘commitment’ but the wording on the new statutes sounds softer, and as the Academy is now open to people of any religion or none, it is doubtful they would commit very seriously to Humanae Vitae!”
The shift of attention from moral questions to a mere scientific approach is another rising concern.
“The other emphasis that I find sad is that [the Academy] has become, seemingly, only interested in science.  The Pontifical Academy of Science already covers that, with scientists of all religions or none, and is full of Nobel Prize winners. PAL was founded with a list of intentionally mixed specialists including lawyers, doctors, journalists, prolife leaders, psychiatrists, family activists, priests, teachers, and so on, the intention of the founders being to be able to study and analyze the causes of anti-life tendencies and find ways to counteract them.  I knew the founders, especially Jerome Lejeune, very well. This was the task, and sadly with his death the discourse became ever more directed towards ‘hard science’ rather than ‘prolife science’,” explained Vollmer.
Journalist Maike Hickson from OnePeterFive pointed out that many of the dismissed members, including Cardinal Caffarra and Cardinal Willem Eijk, as well as Prof. Josef Seifert and Prof. Robert Spaemann, have one thing in common: their public objection to Amoris Laetitia and the liberalization of the Church’s moral teaching that goes along with it.
Archbishop Paglia is known for his support of the distribution of Communion for “remarried” divorcees. Pope Francis also appointed him as grand chancellor of the Pontifical Pope John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family, traditionally a bulwark of sound moral teaching based on St. John Paul II’s writings and teachings.
Archbishop Paglia published a book between the two synods suggesting opening the door to Communion for “remarried” divorcees. It was titled “Family and Church: an indissoluble bond.” He also invited homosexual couples to the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia in 2015.
“As President of the Pontifical Academy for Life, I urge you to deal with the new challenges concerning the value of life,” the Pope told Paglia in his letter of appointment. Here Pope Francis also pointed out that “human ecology” needs more emphasis and that it “helps to restore the original balance of creation between the human person and the whole universe.”
The re-population of Vatican Dicasteries is nothing new in the Pontificate of Pope Francis. Only recently Cardinal Sarah’s Congregation for Divine Worship received an overhaul, and Cardinal Müller was ordered to dismiss three priests from his Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

Ohio House votes to ban abortions on babies with Down syndrome

COLUMBUS, Ohio, November 2, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — The Ohio House overwhelmingly passed a bill outlawing aborting a child because of a possible Down syndrome diagnosis.
The Down Syndrome Non-Discrimination Act (HB 214) bans abortionists from terminating a pregnancy based on prenatal prediction of Down syndrome. The Ohio Senate has not yet acted on the bill.
Co-sponsor Rep. Sarah LaTourette, R-Chesterland, says the bill stops lethal discrimination against children with Down syndrome.
“This bill is about so much more than abortion,” LaTourette explained. “It’s about discriminating against some of our most vulnerable, discriminating against an unborn child simply because they might have a Down syndrome diagnosis. That’s something that I find absolutely unacceptable.”
“Today’s vote is a vote against modern-day eugenics, plain and simple,” Ohio Right to Life’s Mike Gonidakis stated in a press release. “While aborting a human child is always wrong, we should all agree that there is something particularly egregious about targeting babies with disabilities for destruction.”
“After seeing the horrors of eugenics play out in the 20th century, it is appalling that this legislation is even up for debate,” the pro-life president added.
Planned Parenthood is asking its supporters to fight HB 214, calling the legislation an “awful bill“ that “do(es) nothing to improve or protect patient’s health.”
Around the world, a diagnosis of possible Down syndrome is often a death sentence. In Iceland, officials boast about having eradicated Down syndrome as the result of national promotion of abortion. Fully 100 percent of preborn babies showing the possibility of Down syndrome are terminated in the womb. Nearly the same is true in Denmark, where 98 percent are aborted.
Down syndrome is genetic. One in 691 babies is born with Down syndrome. The cause is not known, but it can be detected in the womb or after birth to help the child therapeutically.
Live Action reported that parents “are not informed of the advances in science and medicine that allow people with Down syndrome to lead successful lives. Today, people with Down syndrome receive equal education alongside their peers, and many live on their own, get married, and hold jobs.”
Last week, Down advocate Frank Stephens testified before a congressional committee that those with Down syndrome have fulfilling lives that are definitely worth living.
Amniocentesis testing can be wrong, and newer, less invasive testing gives a false “positive” 50 percent of the time or more. The Boston Globe published a major studyby the New England Center for Investigative Reporting that concluded “hundreds” of parents are aborting healthy babies.
“We have an obligation to protect our friends with Down syndrome, not only because they can teach us to be a more loving and empathetic society, but because they, like all of us, are endowed with the fundamental right to life,” Gonidakis said. “Ohio is paving the way for a society that stands up to discrimination and defends the most vulnerable among us.”
Penalties for violating the proposed law include the abortionist losing his or her license to practice in Ohio and up to 18 months in jail, in addition to personal liability costs.
As the Ohio senate considers the Down Syndrome Non-Discrimination Act, Ohio Right to Life asks pro-lifers to sign a petition urging senators to pass the HB 214.
The bill is co-sponsored with LaTourette by Rep. Derek Merrin, R-Monclova Township.

World famous musician, Snoop Dogg just threw himself into headlines, but it’s not for his love of marijuana. This time, he’s getting attention for all the wrong reasons.
Rapper Snoop Dogg has taken a break from garnering attention for cannabis by posing with president Donald Trump’s dead body on his new album cover. Snoop Dogg’s new single, “Make America Crip Again,” which is the title track on his upcoming EP (extended play), takes aim at Trump and his governing practices. “The president says he wants to make America great again. Fuck that shit. We gonna make America crip again,” Snoop Dogg says in the track.
Many are considering the image to be threatening, but a minimum, it’s disrespectful. Snoop Dogg claims that his album cover isn’t political either. “It’s not a statement or a political act: it’s just good music. Certain people feel like we should make America ‘great again,’ but that time they’re referring to always takes me back to separation and segregation so I’d rather Make America Crip Again,” Snoop Dogg said in a statement obtained by Rolling Stone.
Snoop Dogg’s album released October 27 and has drawn applause and harsh criticism for the cover choice. “In my lifetime, that’s when young black men in impoverished areas organized to help their communities and to take care of their own because society basically left them for dead. A lot of people glorify the gang-banging and violence but forget that in the beginning, the Crips’ main and sole purpose was to be the reflection of the Black Panthers. They looked after kids, provided after-school activities, fed them, and stepped in as role models and father figures.”
Of course, to claim that this is not some sort of political stunt by the rapper is absurd. Especially considering this isn’t the first time Snoop Dogg has gone after the president. The rapper, who was a vocal supporter of Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign, targeted Trump earlier this year in a music video where he can be seen shooting a clown dressed as Trump.
*The scenes in this video may be disturbing to some and are not suitable for all viewers.
According to the Washington ExaminerTrump responded to the video, saying the rapper would have likely faced “jail time” had he pulled the same stunt with former President Barack Obama at the forefront.

What is the "Gay Agenda" in America?

( I am Not Anti Gay. I Do Not Hate Gay People. Just Did Not Understand Gay Agenda.) Jesus came to save all People, All people SIN. ALL. Carl

Here's the step by step of how the well-funded siege of our culture happened -- and continues. Columnist Matt Barber puts it together.
Unmasking The “Gay” Agenda

By
Matt BarberWednesday, February 13, 2008
Americans who self-identify as “gay” or lesbian comprise roughly one to three percent of the population. Yet the homosexual movement — led by extremist homosexual pressure groups like the so-called Human Rights Campaign (HRC) — represent, per capita, one of America’s most powerful and well-funded political lobbies. Consider that HRC and the HRC foundation alone have an annual budget in excess of 50 million.
Through a carefully crafted, decades-old propaganda campaign, homosexual activists have successfully cast homosexuals — many of whom enjoy positions of influence and affluence — as a disadvantaged minority. They have repackaged and sold to the public behaviors which thousands of years of history, every major world religion and uncompromising human biology have long identified as immoral and sexually deviant.
The Goal
As with every major political movement, the homosexual lobby is pushing a specific agenda. It is often called the “gay agenda.” At its core is a concerted effort to remove from society all traditional notions of sexual morality and replace them with the post-modern concept of sexual relativism. That is to say, when it comes to sex, there is never right or wrong. All sexual appetites are “equal.” If it feels good, do it.
Ultimately, the homosexual lobby’s primary objective is to radically redefine our foundational institutions of legitimate marriage and the nuclear family by unraveling God’s natural design for human sexuality. In so doing, they hope to elevate their own spiritual and biological counterfeit and establish a sexually androgynous society wherein natural distinctions between male and female are dissolved.
This creates cultural and moral anarchy.
Plan of Attack
Ironically, sexual relativists are anything but relative. They are quite affirmative in principle. But the principles they foist demand comprehensive acceptance of homosexual conduct — by force of law — through federal edicts such as “hate crimes” legislation, the so-called “Employment Non-Discrimination Act” (ENDA) and by imposing government sanctioned “same-sex marriage.” All such government mandates grant special protected “minority” status to those who define themselves by aberrant sexual preferences and changeable sexual behaviors. These laws put people with traditional values directly in the crosshairs of official government policy.
Throughout society, homosexual activists demand that homosexual behaviors not only be “tolerated,” but celebrated. (That’s what the euphemistic slogan “celebrate diversity” supposes). They have masked their true political agenda by hijacking the language of the genuine civil rights movement and through the crafty and disingenuous rhetoric of “tolerance” and “diversity.”
Anyone who believes the Biblical directive that human sexuality is a gift from God, to be shared between man and wife within the bonds of marriage, is branded “homophobic,” “hateful” or “discriminatory.” They are to be silenced by all means possible.
In Their Own Words
What you are about to read is just a quick, though disturbing, glance behind the homosexual lobby’s lavender curtain.
Below are two of the central demands put forth by homosexual activists in their “1972 Gay Rights Platform”:
• “Repeal all laws governing the age of sexual consent.” (This should send a chill down the spine of any parent. It would legally allow pedophiles, and homosexuals who were so inclined, to access your children and teens for their own predatory sexual gratification — so long as those children “consented” to having sex.)
“Repeal all legislative provisions that restrict the sex or number of persons entering into a marriage unit.” (Once marriage is redefined, there can be no logical or ethical objection to any conceivable “marriage” combination, including polygamous “marriages.” By watering down marriage, “gay” activists and like-minded politicos [usually activist judges] remove this foundational institution’s intrinsic value.)
Here are just a few of the demands the homosexual lobby put forth during the 1987 (Homosexual) “March on Washington”:
• “The government should provide protection from discrimination based on sexual orientation in employment, public accommodations and education just as protection is provided on race, creed, color, sex, or national origin.” ([ENDA] This would force all religious business owners, landlords and schools to abandon — under penalty of law — sincerely held and constitutionally protected religious beliefs and adopt a view of sexual morality that runs entirely counter to central teachings of every major world religion.)
• “Anti-homophobic curriculum in the schools.” (Translation: pro-homosexual, government-mandated indoctrination. This is already occurring in thousands of public schools throughout America. Children are being force-fed the absurd notion that male-male anal sodomy is a perfectly acceptable, “alternative” sexual “orientation.” This calculated propaganda continues to expand, despite the fact that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has acknowledged that such behaviors place participants at extremely high risk for dangerous and often deadly infectious disease.)
• “The government should ensure all public education programs include programs designed to combat lesbian/gay prejudice. … Institutions that discriminate against lesbian and gay people should be denied tax-exempt status and federal funding.” (This means churches, religious schools and religious businesses. Some jurisdictions, such as the state of New Jersey, have already begun removing tax-exempt status from church related ministries that refuse to provide “commitment ceremonies” to homosexuals.)
• “Public and private institutions should support parenting by lesbian or gay couples.” (This is now being mandated in many states such as California and Massachusetts. In Massachusetts, Catholic Charities’ adoption service was recently forced to close down because it refused to assign children to homosexuals for adoption.)
The push for federal “hate crimes” legislation is another activist tool intended to silence traditional views on human sexuality and sexual morality. Similar laws have already been used around the world, and even right here at home, to persecute Christians and other traditionalists. For example, in 2004, 11 Christians were arrested in Philadelphia and charged with a “hate crime” for merely preaching the Bible at a public homosexual street festival. They could have served up to 47 years in prison.
More recently, a Christian photographer was dragged before the New Mexico Human Rights Division for refusing to photograph a “commitment ceremony” for a lesbian couple because lesbian behavior is inconsistent with Christianity.
Such stark examples of homofascist persecution continue to mount. And they’re by design. Noted homosexual activist and pornographer Clinton Fein addressed the “gay” agenda in a 2005 article candidly titled, “The Gay Agenda”:
• On “hate crimes” laws: “Hate Crime laws are just the beginning. Once those are passed either federally or in all 50 states, begin campaign to eliminate homophobia entirely.”
• On “hate thoughts” and “hate speech” laws: “Homophobic inclinations alone, even without any actions, should be criminal and punishable to the full extent of the law.”
• On influencing public policy: “Make sure that gay representation permeates every level of governance.”
• On “same-sex marriage”: “Demand the institution and then wreck it. James Dobson was right about our evil intentions. We just plan to be quicker than he thought.”
• On “gays” in the Church: “Reclaim Jesus. He was a Jewish queer to begin with, and don’t let anyone forget it.”
The homosexual lobby’s goals have been clearly defined for decades. But for any goal to be successfully achieved, clever stratagem and sound methodology must be diligently applied.
In their manuscript, After the Ball: How America Will Conquer Its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 90’s (1989, Doubleday/Bantam), Harvard educated marketing experts Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen meticulously laid out the homosexual lobby’s blueprint for success in what is widely regarded as the handbook for the “gay” agenda.
They devised a three-pronged approach that the homosexual lobby has masterfully implemented in subsequent years: Desensitization, Jamming and Conversion.
Kirk and Madsen summarized their approach this way:
• Portray gays as victims, not as aggressive challengers.
• Give potential protectors a just cause.
• Make gays look good.
• Make victimizers look bad.
Desensitization
“Desensitization,” wrote Kirk and Madsen, means subjecting the public to a “continuous flood of gay-related advertising, presented in the least offensive fashion possible. If ‘straights’ can’t shut off the shower, they may at least eventually get used to being wet.”
As previously stated, glamorizing and normalizing homosexual conduct in our public schools is a full time endeavor. But the schools represent only one field of battle in the war over America’s body, mind and soul.
With the aid of a willing mainstream media and a like-minded Hollywood, societal desensitization has been largely achieved. Blockbusters like Tom Hanks’ Philadelphia, the late Heath Ledger’s Brokeback Mountain, and television programs like Will and Grace and Ellen represent a modern-day fairy tale, creating a dishonest and sympathetic portrayal of a lifestyle which is emotionally, spiritually and physically sterile.
Reality is replaced with fantasy. Gone are references to, or images of, the millions of homosexual men wasting away in hospice due to behaviorally related diseases such as HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis and Syphilis. (Unnatural behaviors beget natural consequences. As Romans 6:23 says, “The wages of sin is death.”)
And gone are references to, or images of, men and women trapped in the homosexual lifestyle who aimlessly seek to fill a spiritual and emotional void through promiscuous and meaningless sexual encounters.
The homosexual group, GLAAD, even offers awards to the television networks that most effectively carry the homosexual lobby’s water. The more distorted and positive the portrayal of homosexual conduct and the more frequently the networks shows such portrayals; the more likely networks are to win the coveted awards.
As Kirk and Madsen put it, homosexuals should be portrayed as the “Everyman.” “In no time,” they said, “a skillful and clever media campaign could have the gay community looking like the veritable fairy godmother to Western Civilization.”
Prophetic words from two very smart men.
Jamming
“Jamming” refers to the public smearing of Christians, traditionalists or anyone else who opposes the “gay” agenda. “Jam homo-hatred (i.e., disagreement with homosexual behaviors) by linking it to Nazi horror,” wrote Kirk and Madsen. “Associate all who oppose homosexuality with images of ‘Klansmen demanding that gays be slaughtered,’ ‘hysterical backwoods preachers,’ ‘menacing punks,’ and a ‘tour of Nazi concentration camps where homosexuals were tortured and gassed.’
“In any campaign to win over the public, gays must be portrayed as victims in need of protection so that straights will be inclined by reflex to adopt the role of protector ... The purpose of victim imagery is to make straights feel very uncomfortable,” they suggested.
But, perhaps Kirk and Madsen’s most revealing admission came when they said, “[O]ur effect is achieved without reference to facts, logic, or proof.”
And so words like “homophobe” and “heterosexism” were pulled from thin air, not because they had substance, but because they were effective jamming tools. Anyone who holds traditional values relative to human sexuality suddenly became a “homophobe,” a “hatemonger,” a “bigot.”
Not even churches are safe.
“Gays can undermine the moral authority of homo-hating churches over less fervent adherents by portraying [them] as antiquated backwaters, badly out of step … with the latest findings of psychology. Against the atavistic tug of ‘Old Time Religion’ one must set the mightier pull of science and public opinion. … Such an ‘unholy’ alliance has already worked well in America against the churches, on such topics as divorce and abortion. … [T]hat alliance can work for gays.”
And, oh, how it has.
Conversion
“Conversion” means, in the words of Kirk and Madsen, “conversion of the average American’s emotions, mind, and will, through a planned psychological attack, in the form of propaganda fed to the nation via the media.”
“In the early stages of any campaign to reach straight America, the masses should not be shocked and repelled by premature exposure to homosexual behavior itself. Instead, the imagery of sex should be downplayed and gay rights should be reduced to an abstract social question as much as possible. First let the camel get his nose inside the tent — and only later his unsightly derriere!”
So, as Kirk and Madsen both astutely understood and surprisingly admitted, homosexual activism is really a big game of “hide the ball.” In order to achieve widespread acceptance of “gayness,” they had to remove the focus from what homosexuality really is (deviant sexual conduct) and shift it onto the craftily manufactured specter of “gay civil rights.”
In order to cut through much of the propagandist sugarcoating, one need only consider what two men must actually do in order to “consummate” a so-called “gay marriage.” Kirk and Madsen understood that. Most people are repulsed by the mechanics of homosexual conduct, but everyone is for “civil rights.” Of course, in reality, the homosexual lifestyle has nothing to do with civil rights and everything to do with conduct.
Therein lies the deception.
But There’s Hope
There’s hope for people who are trapped in the homosexual lifestyle or who suffer from unwanted same-sex attraction. Part of our fallen condition as humans is that we are all subject to sin. Those who know the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ, are no better or worse than those who engage in homosexual sin.
But through the loving and redemptive power of Jesus Christ, we can all find salvation from sin. So can homosexuals. “Gayness” is not an “immutable” or unchangeable condition as homosexual apologists would have you believe. People can find freedom from homosexual behaviors and even from same-sex attractions. It’s not easy, but untold thousands of former homosexuals have done it.
There’s also hope in the ongoing battle between the “gay” agenda and our national moral integrity. Concerned Women for America (CWA) endeavors on a daily basis to counter this destructive movement throughout all facets of culture and public policy.
With God’s help, we can turn back the tide of sexual and moral relativism that has both permeated our society and offended our founding principles.
