Joe Scarborough: ‘We Know What’s in the Memo' -- 'A Whole Lie'

"The only thing that seems to be going on is they're presenting half-facts."

On Monday, the House Intelligence Committee voted to publicly release a GOP-written memo alleging surveillance abuses by the FBI under the guise of utilizing the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. The four-page report -- spearheaded by Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Devin Nunes, could, in the words of CNN, "feed a GOP push to undercut special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation and ratchet up a battle with the Justice Department."
Joe Scarborough -- who was recently awarded as a first-class "responsible journalist" -- doesn't think the information should ever come to light. Rather than wanting the truth to be revealed, the MSNBC left-winger called the release of such information "incredibly reckless."
Furthermore, on Tuesday's Morning Joe, the wild host attempted preemptive strikes against the information which could potentially hurt the Democrats. This was a bold move, given that Scarborough has no idea what the document contains. But he isn't interested in facts; only narrative and leftist victory.
About the contents, he bottom-lined:
"We know what's in the memo...The only thing that seems to be going on is they're presenting half-facts."
Within ten minutes, Joe had dismissed the as-yet-unseen memo as "a half-truth," "a whole lie," "misleading," false," "distorted," and "twisted" among other baseless descriptions.
Pathetic.
It's hard to imagine how someone who claims to be a newsperson could give such a biased, partisan opinion, much less on information he does not even yet have -- and never want America to have, either. But Joe Scarborough isn't known for his professionalism or integrity. Co-host Mika seems to aptly sum up her outrageous, agenda-fueled partner with this description:

NYT Op-Ed: Trump Can Only Become ‘Presidential’ if He Stops Being President

"All he has to do is apologize to his fellow Americans for the shame he’s brought upon this country, and resign effective immediately."

The New York Times published a piece today by Michelle Goldberg, making clear her thoughts on America's President. Her bottom line? Trump's only hope of being presidential relies upon his resignation.
In "Please Don't Call Him Presidential" -- a reference to the President's State of the Union this evening -- Goldberg condemned media who called Trump "presidential" following his joint speech before Congress in 2017. Furthermore, she inexplicably "begged" media outlets to knock off their praise for the President:
“I’m begging my fellow pundits not to get too excited should Trump manage to read from a teleprompter without foaming at the mouth or saying anything overtly racist."
One can hardly imagine The New York Times printing anything so critical of Obama.
Goldberg has a novel recipe for Trump's victory over his critics -- admit that he is a shame to our nation, and step down from the highest office in the land -- the office to which America elected him:
"The president can surprise those who think the worst of him, and prove that he’s been underestimated. All he has to do is apologize to his fellow Americans for the shame he’s brought upon this country, and resign effective immediately."
Moreover, Goldberg claims that his plight is hopeless -- "no matter" what, he "will not become presidential":
"No matter how well Trump delivers the lines in his State of the Union — announced theme: 'Building a safe, strong and proud America' — he will not become presidential."
It's so gracious of Goldberg -- who is a blogger and author -- to explain to us what "presidential" actually means, and to let us know that Donald Trump -- a man smart enough to build a billion-dollar empire -- doesn't measure up to her personal standard.
Goldberg also apparently considers herself quite prescient:
"There will be no turning of corners or uniting the country. At best, Trump will succeed in impersonating a minimally competent leader for roughly the length of an episode of The Apprentice. And if he does, recent history suggests that he will be praised as the second coming of Lincoln."
What "recent history"? He will be praised? By whom? The left-wing media that hates him? The leftist celebrities who despise him?
Goldberg clearly has a perception problem. On MSNBC's Hardball in October, she said:
“Even Nixon in his darkest days was not as erratic, unstable and didn't pose as much as a danger to his country as Trump poses."
A danger? Yes, according to Goldberg. In fact, in February of 2016, she claimed that "megalomaniac, unstable demagogue" Trump would be mandating "forced childbirth."
Why would The New York Times allow someone this "unstable" to write a column? Her article should be titled "Please Don't Call Her Rational."

NFL Anthem Protester's Book: 'Things That Make White People Uncomfortable'

Bring on the XFL.

Guaranteed to deliver another painful hit to the NFL's dwindling fan base, one of the most prominent national anthem protesters in the league is publishing a new book, Things that Make White People Uncomfortable. Smart choice for a title.
Breitbart reports that the book from Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett will be available in April, published by Haymarket Books. Bennett's co-author (and by "co-author" we mean the actual writer) Dave Zirin, sports editor for The Nation, describes Bennett as “an outspoken proponent for social justice and a man without a censor.”
In other words, a loudmouth race-baiter -- not an author or book likely to bring any fans back to the fold who have been driven away from the NFL by its relentless, stupid politicization of the game.
Breitbart notes that Bennett is one of the league’s "most persistent" anthem protesters and devotes a great deal of "time, money, and effort pushing social justice causes." You may remember that he attempted to accuse the Las Vegas Police Department of racial profiling despite video evidence that clearly disproved his charges.
Speaking about the book, Bennett tried to downplay the obvious racism in its sensationalistic title (imagine if a white player titled a book Things That Make Black People Uncomfortable). “I think the title is a just a title to start a conversation so people want to read. I think the book I’m focusing on is issues that I see that are important in America, and that are my view."
You know what's not important in America, Michael? A racist, unpatriotic football player's views on anything.
It should come as no surprise that, according to Breitbart, the book has a blurb from John Carlos, one of the medalists from the 1968 Olympics who infamously raised a black power fist during the playing of the American national anthem. The blurb reads, “This book doesn’t only explain the roots of Michael Bennett’s courage. It will inspire the people who read it to conquer their fears and fight for what’s right.”
The fans don't care what you think either, John.
“This is my story, this is my journey, my thoughts on sports, my thoughts on issues in America, my thoughts on women’s equality – different issues like that,” Bennett continued. “I think when people think about writers as an athlete, they think about you writing a story about your sports journey, but mine is more of a reflection of America and its past and its time.”
Americans don't care, Michael. You're a race-baiting liar.

Celebrities Run to Safe Spaces Instead of Watching Trump SOTU

They just couldn't even.

Hollywood’s worst nightmare occurred on Tuesday evening when its nemesis, Donald J. Trump, delivered his first State of the Union address. Some tried to make it through, others didn’t watch at all, but every last one of them plugged their ears and retreated to their safe spaces.
Of course, the triggered just had to let everyone know about it on Twitter:
Feminist actress Jessica Chastain encouraged her followers to “#WatchRoseNotTrump.” Rose McGowan’s documentary about her #MeToo fight, Citizen Rose, was playing on E! at the same time.
For the few celebrities that did watch, their Twitter feeds erupted with expected criticism:
Two comedians tweeted pictures of their paintings to send their anti-Trump message, Jim Carrey and Rosie O’Donnell:

Poor things. They just hate to see the country doing so well.

President Trump Said ‘We’ 129 Times During Speech

A stark contrast from the previous self-centered president.

President Trump did something in his first State of the Union address that we didn’t see in the eight years Barack Obama was in office. He showed restraint in using the word "I."
The Daily Caller tabulated that Trump only referred to himself with that term a scant 29 times in the 80-minute speech. Instead, he preferred talking with the constitutional “we,” saying that 129 times. He also used “our” 104 times. Here is an example:
“As long as we are proud of who we are, and what we are fighting for, there is nothing we cannot achieve. As long as we have confidence in our values, faith in our citizens, and trust in our God, we will not fail. Our families will thrive. Our people will prosper. And our Nation will forever be safe and strong and proud and mighty and free.”
How refreshing to hear that we the people are working together for America rather than listening to a self-centered politician say, “I will fix everything.” One of Obama’s favorite words in his speeches was “I.” He used it hundreds of times.
Trump’s SOTU address was consistent with his inaugural address in which he also only referred to himself three times. “We” was the unifying term he used most often then and the term he used the most last night. That’s more hope and change than Obama ever brought to the table.
We thank you, President Trump, for putting us first.
