President Trump labels DOJ watchdog report a 'horror show'

President Trump labels DOJ watchdog report a 'horror show'

X
President Trump unloaded Friday on the report by the Justice Department's internal watchdog, calling its conclusions "wrong” and labeling the 500-page document a “horror show.”
“The end result was wrong. I mean, there was total bias,” Trump said in an interview with “Fox & Friends” from the White House lawn.
The report, released Thursday by Justice Department inspector general Michael Horowitz, found former FBI Director James Comey was “insubordinate” during the bureau's investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while serving as Secretary of State.
However, the report also concluded that there was no political bias on part of Comey or other investigators.
Trump, who fired Comey last year, vehemently disagreed with the reports findings.

“Comey was the ringleader of this whole den of thieves,” he said Friday. “You look at what happened. They were plotting against my election.”
Trump has previously called Comey a liar and has accused his own Justice Department of not pursuing criminal charges against the former G-man.
Trump backtracked on Friday, telling “Fox & Friends” that someone else should decide if Comey should face criminal charges.
“I would never want to get involved in that. Certainly he, they seemed like criminal acts to me. What he did was criminal. What he did was terrible thing to the people,” Trump said. “Should he be locked up? Let somebody make a determination.”
Trump boasted that he’s cleaned out the bias he claims tainted top officials at the FBI under President Obama, but claimed the agency is in his corner now.
“The people of the FBI are incredible,” Trump said. “I would bet if you took a poll in the FBI I would win that poll by more than anybody's won a poll but the top people were horrible.”

Remember, We Are Not Of This World....

Dear Jesus,
I know I am a sinner. I pray that you will forgive me for all of my sins, that you will come into my heart and be my Lord, the savior of my life. I confess that you died on the cross to save me from my sins and I am committed to turning away from those sins. I ask that you fill me with your Holy Spirit so that I can be born again. I ask that you give me the strength and abundant faith to overcome any and all attacks by the enemy, including my desire to sin so that I may serve you completely. I pray that you will give me discernment so that I may know all things that are truth, and the knowledge acquired from reading your Word. Use me this day as I am a willing vessel Lord, in leading others to your kingdom. Wash me as white as snow. Put a hedge of protection around me as I go forth in doing your will. Thank you Jesus for saving me, as I know that only through my faith in you that all this is possible.
Amen

THE APPEASEMENT LETTER THE TERRORISTS DON'T WANT TO READ

THE APPEASEMENT LETTER THE TERRORISTS DON'T WANT TO READ

5
The Wall Street Journal had the bad sense and worse taste to print a sloppy kiss to Yossi Klein Halevi's latest tract (probably paywalled). "Letters to My Palestinian Neighbor".
Despite the title, the only possible audience for books like these are formed by lefty anti-Israel Jews. The conceit is false from the start. The letters aren't to the terrorists on the other side, but to Jews unhappy with Israel, who read these as hectoring lectures about Jewish arrogance... aimed at other sorts of Jews.
The absurdity comes to a head with the final paragraph of a review that doesn't just lick the book's boots, but cleans off its shoelaces.
"In his “Note to the Reader,” Mr. Halevi writes that his book is being offered in Arabic translation for free downloading. Let us hope that his neighbors on the other side of the wall take him up on it, and that the rest of us whose fate is intertwined with the fate of Israel pay heed to its urgent and heartfelt message."
In. The. Hopes.
The book's audience isn't the Egyptian and Syrian Muslims on the other side. If they were, the book wouldn't have to be shoved at them like a leaflet on a crowded street. Audiences buy books. The only people buying this will be anti-Israel lefty Jews.
The download is a gimmick that's a publicity stunt for a book whose audience isn't "Palestinian", but already identifies with them. Halevi's book preaching identification with the Muslim occupiers and settlers is preaching to the choir.

MAJORITY OF VOTERS SAY MUELLER INVESTIGATION UNFAIR

Dems bet hard on Team Coup to deliver. But Team Coup can't pull off a coup without public support. And that support is withdrawing fast.
Voters interviewed for the POLITICO/Morning Consult poll also have changed direction on whether they think the Mueller investigation has been on the up and up. In the latest survey, 40 percent of voters said it had been handled unfairly, compared to early February when 34 percent said the probe wasn’t being handled fairly. The percentage saying the investigation was being done fairly remained unchanged from February at 38 percent.
That's a majority.
Months of sustained conservative attacks led by President Donald Trump and his allies have harmed Mueller most among Republicans, with a record 53 percent now saying they view the lead Russia investigator in an unfavorable light. That’s a 26-point spike since July, when the poll first started asking voters whether they viewed Mueller favorably or unfavorably.
Mueller’s unfavorable numbers have hit highs among both Democrats and independents, at 24 percent and 33 percent, respectively. Thirty-six percent of all registered voters are also seeing Mueller unfavorably, which represents the highest level since the polling first raised the topic 11 months ago. Back then, 23 percent of all voters said they viewed Mueller negatively.
It's not a full awakening and the media's ability to command the high ground of communications shields Mueller a great deal. But a year later, he still hasn't delivered.
That's bound to raise questions even among those who follow the news is only the most glancing fashion. They keep hearing about Mueller. But nothing really happens except for some indictments of people they never heard of for reasons having nothing to do with the stuff that CNN harps on all day.
Among Republicans, Mueller’s favorable rating remains relatively stagnant at 18 percent in the latest poll, down from 22 percent in July 2017. Independents gave Mueller a 28 percent favorable rating.
That means Mueller is underwater among independents too.

FBI'S STRZOK: "WE'LL STOP" TRUMP FROM BECOMING PRESIDENT

2
This is bad. And it's been covered up.
FBI agent Peter Strzok texted a fellow bureau official in August 2016 that “we’ll stop” Donald Trump from becoming president, the Justice Department inspector general reportedly reveals in his highly anticipated report on the Hillary Clinton email case.
The Washington Post reported that Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report includes an August 2016 text message exchange between Strzok and then-FBI lawyer Lisa Page about Trump’s chance of being elected president.
“[Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!” Page texted Strzok.
“No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it,” Strzok responded.
The IG report is in many ways a whitewash, but what it does reveal is damaging enough.
The defense will claim that Strzok and Page had the right to their political opinions. But when you start investigating two presidential candidates, then your opinions bleed into your work. And at some point, they become your work.
If any criminal defendant's case had been this obviously tainted, it would have been thrown out. Yet the various investigations continue despite the obvious bad faith and political agendas.
Strzok and Page got caught. But they're certainly not the only ones. Just the really obvious ones.

COMEY: "I DIDN'T KNOW THAT I KNEW" WEINER WAS MARRIED TO HUMA ABEDIN

3
James Comey doesn't know a whole lot. Whenever he's asked to testify, out spill a lot of Clintonesque claims of ignorance. But even by the standard of things that Comey doesn't know, this section from the IG report is truly impressive.
James Comey doesn't know what he knows.
Act 1: Comey plays really dumb.
"Comey told the OIG that he recalled first learning of the presence of the additional emails on the Weiner laptop at some point in early October 2016, although Comey said it was possible this could have occurred in late September. Comey explained: I was aware sometime in the first week or two of October that there was a laptop that a criminal squad had seized from Anthony Weiner in New York and someone said to me that—and I’m thinking it might have been Andrew McCabe, but someone said to me kind of in passing, they’re trying to figure out whether it has any connection to the Midyear investigation. And the reason that’s so vague in my head is I think—I never imagined that there might be something on a guy named Anthony Weiner’s computer that might connect to the Hillary Clinton email investigation, so I kind of just put it out of my mind."
Aww shucks. You can't expect a small town sheriff to stay on top of all this big city stuff. Who knows which aspiring politician the chief gatekeeper to Hillary Clinton is married to? Not an outsider like Jimbo Comey.
Act 2: Comey plays really, really dumb
"Comey described himself as having a “reasonably good memory” and speculated, “[T]he reason I didn’t index it is, it was a passing thing that almost seemed like he might be kidding, and so I don’t think I indexed it hard."
Which FBI bigwig hasn't dropped a joke about a presidential candidate's classified emails illegally ending up on a sex offender suspect's computer? Wait till you hear the one about the engineer and the stolen atom bomb plans. Or the one about the Muslim terror plot against a Mohammed cartoon contest in Texas.
"And I think it was the beginning of October and then I think it disappears from my memory. And then I remember for certain when Andy emails me, I think it’s the 27th [of October] saying, the Midyear team needs to meet with you urgently or right away or something.”
It's funny how Comey's funny memory improves when the thing he's fudging is documented. It's.... Clintonesque.
Act 3: Comey doesn't know what he knows.
"We asked Comey to explain why this initial information about the Weiner laptop did not “index” with him given that Abedin was closely connected to Clinton. Comey stated, “I don’t know that I knew that [Weiner] was married to Huma Abedin at the time.”
Comey doesn't know what he knows? I hadn't realized that a Higher Loyalty was meant in a Cheech and Chong way.
This is what you claim when you know there may be documented evidence of you knowing what you claim not to know.
There are known knowns, known unknowns, and unknown unknowns. Also Comey unknowns.
