Omarosa’s Latest Book Sales Just Announced, And It’s Worse Than We Thought

5
Well, that didn’t take long. The traveling carnival of media outrage has already moved on from the trashy get rich quick book by reality television personality Omarosa Manigault Newman and according to new figures, “Unhinged: An Insider’s Account Of The Trump White House” is sinking like a rock.
If you ask any savvy marketing guru, August is always a terrible month to roll out a new product with consumers on vacation, Congress on its umpteenth taxpayer-funded break and the dog days of summer playing out.
After her tawdry ghost-written tell-all benefitted from an onslaught of media hype the first week, it has zero staying power and has been in a death spiral after it debuted at number three at USA Today’s bestselling books list.
The Washington Post delivers the bad news to the woman who was able to parlay her time on “The Apprentice” into minor fame with the same weirdos who are obsessed with reality television and somehow miraculously was able to score a job inside of President Trump’s White House which in hindsight, should get whoever signed off on it fired immediately.
The nexus of anti-Trump propaganda at the WAPO reports that “Unhinged” has cratered, losing 40 percent of hardcover sales in only its second week.
The air is running out of “Unhinged,” the tell-all memoir by former White House senior adviser Omarosa Manigault Newman.
Hardcover sales during the book’s second week fell by more than 40 percent.
“Unhinged” had a promising release on Aug. 14, largely due to loud opposition from President Trump, whose angry tweets about Manigault Newman kept his former colleague in the news for days.
As the highly critical book was being released, Trump seemed unable to resist complaining about the author publicly. He called her “Wacky and Deranged Omarosa” and said that no one in the White House liked her before she was fired. One of his infamous tweets referred to her as “that dog.”
For her part, Manigault Newman seemed to realize that the president’s unhinged rants were a marketing dream come true. In a series of TV appearances, she questioned his mental competency and suggested that he was racist and misogynist. She parceled out stories from her days in the White House and even released a secret tape recording of White House Chief of Staff John Kelly firing her.
Given all that presidential attention, “Unhinged” sold more than 33,000 copies in hardback during its first week.
But Trump has been more restrained this week, and Omarosa has had trouble attracting the same level of media attention. Her much-hyped revelations have failed to deliver the kind of shocking news needed to compete in Washington’s scandal-a-day atmosphere. Strip-mined of its most salacious details by news reports, the book may have a hard time finding additional readers.
You can likely attribute a good deal of it to her polarizing personality, the slimy way that she abused the trust of the president, his family, and advisers to get material for her book and the fact that she just really isn’t very interesting to begin with.
Once President Trump lost interest by moving on from his blistering Twitter assaults, it was over for Omarosa and with a dismal performance like this “Unhinged” may not even get a paperback run.
Hey, they can always pulp the unsold copies and turn them into toilet paper.

WATCH: Waters Demands Dems Make This One Thing Their Top Issue; ‘I’ve Been Talking About This…’

11
Rep. Maxine Waters, D-CA, is demanding that Democrats make one topic the key issue of their midterm platform: impeaching President Donald Trump.
During an interview Monday on MSNBC, Waters urged her colleagues to make impeachment a central issue, and one that they campaign on ahead of November’s midterm election.
Waters not only demanded Trump be impeached, she falsely claimed the president has been “named” as an “unindicted co-conspirator” in a hush money scheme. There’s no evidence whatsoever that her claim is true, nor is there any evidence the president has done anything that would warrant impeachable offenses.
“Absolutely, when this president was named as a co-conspirator, an unindicted co-conspirator in the hush money information that had been circulating for so long. I think that when [Michael] Cohen came forward and he was able to certainly appear to be very truthful about his role and the role of this president. This immunity is only given when there’s clear evidence that the individuals have something to talk about, something to share that will be helpful in getting to the bottom of the guilty charges.”
When asked if Democrats should make impeachment their top issue, Waters said absolutely.
Well, let me just say this. You know, I’ve been talking about impeachment for a long time. My party has not made this their central issue. These are the issues that they’ve been talking about. They want to keep it at the American forefront. You know I’ve been saying we can walk and chew gum at the same time. There is no reason why we shouldn’t talk about those issues, but allow the American people to understand that we know something is going on.”
Watch below:
Waters — the same woman demanding her supporters be “forceful” and “confrontational” with Trump officials — continues to prove she’s on a witch hunt to go after Trump.
There’s no evidence at all that Trump has broken the law or done anything that would warrant impeachment. She’s just saying whatever she can for media attention, and if Democrats make impeachment their central issue, it’s going to backfire badly.
Just ask former President Bill Clinton how that worked out for him — his approvals skyrocketed after the GOP made impeachment their central issue in the late 1990s.
