NASA Conference on Asteroid Defense: Disaster Planning or Plotting for Deception?

NASA Conference on Asteroid Defense: Disaster Planning or Plotting for Deception?

“What I see for them is not yet, What I behold will not be soon: A star rises from Yaakov, A scepter comes forth from Yisrael; It smashes the brow of Moab, The foundation of all children of Shet.” Numbers 24:17 (The Israel Bible™)
This week, 300 scientists from around the world gathered at a NASA conference to prepare for a scenario they constantly and consistently deny has any possibility of occurring: the planet-threatening impact of a huge asteroid with the earth.
An expert in Torah-sourced astronomical phenomena rejects the scientific approach, pointing to evidence that the self-proclaimed experts are clearly hiding the truth. The answers and solutions, he claims, have already been provided by “a higher authority.”
The International Academy of Astronautics is holding its 6th Planetary Defense Conference from April 29-May 3 in College Park, Maryland. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the  Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the U.S. Departments of Defense and State, and their counterparts from China, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, and Russia will simulate a full-scale asteroid impact scenario.
“These exercises have really helped us in the planetary defense community to understand what our colleagues on the disaster management side need to know,” Lindley Johnson, NASA’s Planetary Defense Officer, said in a statement. “This exercise will help us develop more effective communications with each other and with our governments.”
The exercise will simulate observing an asteroid at a distance of 57 million kilometers from Earth. The asteroid, referred to as a near-Earth object (NEO), is 100-300 meters in diameter and is approaching our solar system at 14 kilometers per second. The exercise will determine that the NEO has a 1 percent chance of hitting Earth – the minimum allowance for a planetary defense effort to be initiated – on April 27, 2027. At that point in the exercise, NASA and its partners will discuss potential preparations for asteroid reconnaissance and deflection missions while planning for mitigation of a potential impact’s effects. FEMA and others will discuss disaster relief.
The consensus of the scientists is that if the asteroid is less than 50 meters across, evacuating the threatened region is a better option. If it is larger, deflecting the asteroid from its path is the preferred option. Using a nuclear device to destroy the asteroid is considered dangerous as it will create a multitude of fragments, some of which could still be quite destructive.
Neither diverting nor destroying an asteroid of any size has ever been attempted. In 2022, NASA will run the Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission on a real asteroid 150 meters across.
This type of exercise is also specifically identified as part of the National Near-Earth Object Preparedness Strategy and Action Plan developed over a two-year period which was published by the White House in June 2018.
The announcement for the event emphasized that this was only an exercise and was not in response to an actual threat. NASA assures the public that they have the situation well in hand, having established the Planetary Defense Coordination Office (PDCO) in 2016 to detect any potentially hazardous object. Asteroids whose orbit around our sun brings them within 50 million kilometers of our planet, defined as “near Earth,” are of interest. The PDCO is currently tracking more than 20,000 such objects and is discovering an average of 150 new objects every month. The majority are very small, but 942 are more than a kilometer across.
The most likely threat the PDCO is currently tracking is 2000 SG344. Relatively small with a diameter of only 37 meters, there is about a 1 in 417 chance that it will collide with Earth between 2069 and 2113. The energy released by an impact is estimated at 1.1 megatons of TNT.
The greater threat lies in asteroids that go undetected. The PDCO’s two main telescopes as well as the two additional telescopes they have planned are all Earth-based and therefore unable to detect asteroids, even large ones, on the other side of the sun. Planetary Defense Officer Lindley Johnson admitted to the conference that many large asteroids are “hiding.”
“A fair fraction of the biggest ones are hiding,” Johnson said to the participants. “[They are] basically parked behind the sun.”
Yuval Ovadia’s films on Nibiru, a huge star that many believe will appear to herald the end of days, have garnered hundreds of thousands of views. He is unimpressed by the efforts of the scientific community to cope with the threat.
“NASA and the scientists who work with them are deceiving us in several ways,” Ovadia told Breaking Israel News. “They are running an exercise to prepare for a disaster at the same time they tell us that a disaster could never happen, that there is nothing to worry about. They clearly know that there are problems, that there is a threat, precisely like the one discussed in the Torah sources.”
Ovadia pointed to a wave of disaster drills that took place almost simultaneously around the globe last month.
“The situation has progressed to the point where they can no longer hide it from the public,” Ovadia said, noting the plethora of natural disasters in recent years. He explained that volcanoes, earthquakestsunamis, and asteroids are all signs of the approach of Nibiru.
“It is like a wave being pushed in front of a large ship,” Ovadia explained. “Nibiru is so large that it will affect the gravity of the earth, put stress on the planet’s mantle, and bring with it asteroids. What we are witnessing now is just the prelude.”
He pointed to several large wildfires that broke out in Russia and California that he believes may have been ignited by undetected asteroids.
“NASA knows this,” Ovadia said. “They know they need to prepare but they don’t know how and they don’t want to cause panic.”
NASA admits that they are not entirely prepared to detect the approach of an object like Nibiru. Not only is the PDCO plagued by a blind spot that covers a large part of the heavens but there have been many large asteroids that struck the Earth while going entirely undetected. In 2013 on the same day astronomers were predicting the asteroid 2012 DA14 was going to make the closest recorded pass of an asteroid (about 17,150 miles), a fireball appeared above the Ural Mountains in Russia. An asteroid exploded in an airburst about 930 miles east of Moscow. About 1,500 people were injured, mainly by broken window glass shattered by the shock wave. The meteor was estimated to have an initial diameter of 17–20 meters and a mass of roughly 10,000 tons.
These close encounters are not uncommon. In 2006, a meteor struck in Norway with the blast force estimated at the equivalence of 100–500  tons of TNT, around 3 percent of Hiroshima’s yield. In September 2007, a meteor crashed in southeastern Peru. Many residents became ill, apparently from the noxious gases released from the impact.
“Internet and social media have made it impossible to hide these events as they once did,” Ovadia said. “But by spreading lies and telling the public that they have it under control, and by controlling the social media, scientists are trying to prevent people from connecting the dots and making sense out of all the things that are happening.”
Since the PDCO was established, at least four major impacts have been reported. Only three impact events have been successfully predicted in advance, usually by only a few hours.  Currently, predictions are mainly based on cataloging asteroids years before they are due to impact. This works well for larger asteroids as they are easily seen from a long distance but is ineffective for predicting smaller objects that can still be quite destructive.
“This is a power game with literally billions of dollars at stake,” Ovadia said.
Even the scientists admit that global defense is a power struggle. One of the largest anticipated difficulties anticipated in coping with a global threat is related to politics rather than science. And the conference has opted not to relate to this snag.
“Who would be the decision-making authority?” asked Romana Kofler of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs. “The consensus was to leave this aspect out.”
Ovadia has a solution for this Gordian Knot.
“The Bible described the Star of Jacob thousands of years ago,” Ovadia said, citing the Book of Numbers.
What I see for them is not yet, What I behold will not be soon: A star rises from Yaakov, A scepter comes forth from Yisrael; It smashes the brow of Moab, The foundation of all children of ShetNumbers 24:17
“This predicts astronomical events that will precede the Messiah,” Ovadia said. “NASA denied that a huge new star will appear and they still deny it. The Torah predicted it and says precisely what will happen afterward: Messiah. It also describes the only defense: turn to Hashem. Who sees more trustworthy in this situation: NASA or the Torah?”

Amazing Things Accompany The Imminent Arrival of the Messiah

Amazing Things Accompany The Imminent Arrival of the Messiah

“On that day, too—declares the lord of Hosts—I will erase the very names of the idols from the land; they shall not be uttered any more. And I will also make the “Neviim” and the unclean spirit vanish from the land.” Zechariah 13:2 (The Israel Bible™)
Eighteen years ago, a near-death experience altered the course of his life. Once a secular, tattooed Israeli, involved in the corrupt pursuits of secular culture, Alon Anava is now an Orthodox rabbi who speaks worldwide about the Messianic era.
Starting with the premise that we are already living in the time of the arrival of Moshiach (Messiah), Rabbi Anava recently spoke in detail about what life will be like after Moshiach arrives and how we can best prepare ourselves, to ensure a smoother transition to the Messiaic era.
Rabbi Anava described how, during his near-death experience at age 26, he foresaw specific ways the world will change when Moshiach arrives. As part of his return to religious observance, he spent a long time looking for evidence of his experience in the Bible and other holy Jewish books.

Rabbi Anava emphasized that there are two opinions about how Messianic events will ultimately play out – in a positive way or in a negative way.
The negative way “means it’s going to come in a disastrous way, massive war that sources call Gog [and] Magog… where two-thirds of the world will be destroyed. Option number two is that Moshiach is coming k’heref ayin (in the blink of an eye), but for that, we need a lot, a lot of merit.”
Once Moshiach arrives, there are various opinions about how fast the prophesied changes will happen. According to Rabbi Anava, in most opinions, it will be a process. “A man will appear, and he will, of course, have to fight the wars of Hashem (God). Not everyone is going to accept the coming of Moshiach, and not necessarily the Nations.”
The fights of Moshiach “are not necessarily physical. It can also be in the political arena. It can also be in faith. It not necessarily [the case] that everyone will be convinced that he is the Redeemer.”
He equates the potential lack of immediate acceptance of Moshiach with what happened when Moses first came to Egypt to redeem the Israelite slaves and was not recognized as their redeemer.
and they said to them, “May Hashem look upon you and punish you for making us loathsome to Pharaoh and his courtiers—putting a sword in their hands to slay us.” Exodus 5:21
“When Moshiach is going to come, one thing we should expect is only good. A lot of people are afraid of a change, but it’s going to be a change for the best. We’re looking at a perfect world. No hate and no anger and no diseases, which will mean no hospitals and no pharmacies and no lawsuits. So we don’t need doctors and we don’t need lawyers and we don’t need pharmacists and we don’t need many things.
“One of the first things that’s going to happen is that we are going to rebuild Beit HaMikdash (the Holy Temple). To most opinions, the Beit HaMikdash is going to come down from shamayim(heaven) and we’re going to all stand with our jaws down.”
He quotes a rabbinic source that says “What you have seen when I took you out of Mitzrayim (Egypt) is nothing compared to what you’re going to see when Moshiach is going to come.” He goes on to explain that Moses and Aaron will appear with Moshiach.
“All sources are saying that Moshiach is going to appear in the Galil (Galilee) in the north of Israel… then make his way down to Yerushalyim (Jerusalem). One of the first things we’re going to do is slaughter the red heifer. We do have a red heifer already, which is one of the many signs that Moshiach is already here.”
Rabbi Anava further explained that the ashes of the red heifer will be used to remove the spirit of impurity from the Land, as it says in Zechariah.
On that day, too—declares the lord of Hosts—I will erase the very names of the idols from the land; they shall not be uttered any more. And I will also make the “Neviim” and the unclean spirit vanish from the land. Zechariah 13:2
“We’re going to be woken up from the state of impurity that we are in. So right away, things like hate and anger and resentments and depression and all these characteristics that we deal with are going to be removed.”
On a more practical level, Rabbi Anava spoke about how we won’t need passwords or keys or insurance to protect our belongings and our accounts because, in the time of Moshiach, no one will even think to take something that doesn’t belong to them.
He also said that the food we eat will change from being heavily processed to being real food, without genetically modified ingredients, chemical supplements and other harmful additives. In this context, the existing Real Food Movement can be seen as a messianic precursor.
Looking ahead, Rabbi Anava explained that the world will rely on solar energy after Moshiach comes. “That’s where you see the evolving of the world, preparing for the coming of Moshiach. Everything is being gradually introduced. So cars are becoming electrical cars. This is one of the many changes – our energy will be clean.”
He elaborated about the changes in our financial lives. “One thing that’s going to happen very soon, we’re not going to have an economy, we’re not going to have currency. We’re not going to have banks when Moshiach is going to come.
“The way it’s going to work is that every country will produce different things. One country will produce rice. One country will produce tomatoes and cucumbers and everyone is going to be sharing.” Rabbi Anava explained how the Israeli kibbutz, where economic responsibilities and benefits were shared, was itself a foreshadowing of the Messianic era.
“When Moshiach is going to come, slowly, slowly the world is going to evolve to become about truth, about honesty, about helping. We’re looking at a world that is the exact same world that we have now, just functioning much, much better.”

The White House Correspondents’ Dinner as it used to be

The White House Correspondents’ Dinner as it used to be

If you were unaware that the annual White House Correspondents Dinner has come and gone, you are not alone.  Compared to last year — when the absence of President Trump and the tasteless and humorless pillaring of the President and White House staffers made headlines for days afterward – the 2019 event was barely noticed beyond the Beltway.
This is not only as it should be, but what the Dinner had been for decades before it was taken over by Hollywood.
During my time in D.C., I had the pleasure of attending the Dinner.  That was back in the late-1960s and early 1970s.  It was an important political and social even for the Washington political and press communities – but it received very little reporting in the rest of the country.
While much was made of President Trump’s declining his invitation to participate, it was never a “must attend” for presidents.  Some attended sometimes, but not all that often.  In fact, most presidents were AWOL when it came to the dinner – although not because of the friction that has marked the relationship between Trump and the major news media.
Previous dinners were more of a private social event to allow members of the press corps and the politicians they cover to mingle in a friendly setting.  There was always a bit of a comedic roast, but not with the Partisan viciousness that has arisen since the Trump election.  Mostly it was good-spirited pokes at the pomposity of the press and the politicians – what is better known as self-effacing humor.
The event changed dramatically during President Obama’s administrations.  He brought a glitzy Hollywood glamour not seen in Washington since President Kennedy’s days of Camelot.  In fact, it is arguable that it was Hollywood that helped destroy the purpose and the reputation of the Dinner – two things the White House Correspondents Association hoped to correct this year.
Rather than make the event a platform for the biased and nasty comedy of Michelle Wolfe — last year’s featured celebrity – the Dinner sponsors chose historian and author Ron Chernow – author of the biography of Alexander Hamilton that was the inspiration for the popular Broadway production.
It was a move that would assure minimal humorous content.  Chernow promised to deliver a few knee-slappers but proved that humor is an art form in which historians are relatively unskilled.  The best he could elicit from the audience was an occasional round of polite chuckles.
The association took away what Hollywood had brought to the event – the iconic red carpet.  Oh yeah, there was still a red runway, but it was not lined by cameras, entertainment reporters and gawkers.  If there were those exaggerated poses in front of a multi-labeled advertising backdrop, not may photos of the posers to be seen in the next morning news reports – largely because there was very little reporting on the event … period.
The Association was smart in toning down the event.  He had become weaponized by a biased media to attack their political adversaries – specifically President Trump, Vice President Pence, the White House Staff, the Cabinet, congressional Republicans, conservative Supreme Court Justices, FOX News, conservative icons and millions of Americans who do not share the media’s political perspective.
One can only hope that the White House press corps – and the media outlets they represent – and follow the lead of the White House Correspondents’ Association and restore a bit of unbiased civility and integrity to the profession in general.
So, there ‘tis.

GUILTY! Minneapolis Muslim Cop Who Killed Unarmed Pajama-Clad Justine Damond FOUND GUILTY of Murder

97
The reality is that Noor should never have been a police officer, and only was because he was Muslim. On the force since 2015, he had three complaints against him. He was described by neighbors as “jumpy,” “ill-tempered,” “strict” and “disrespectful of women and blacks.”

Hijab-wearing Mayor Betsy Hodges instituted hiring policies in the police department to prioritize the hiring of Somali Muslims. This at a time when more than 22 young men from the community had left the state to join al-Shabab in Somalia, and roughly a dozen people have left in recent years to join the jihad in Syria, including the Islamic State group. The area in Minneapolis where Muslim killer-cop was recruited and fast-tracked for police work is a notorious hot spot for jihad recruitment.
Justice for Justine has been been a long, protracted road. Minneapolis Somali-Muslim cop Mohamed Noor shot unarmed, pajama-clad Justine Damond to death at point blank range.Damond had called 911 to report a sexual assault behind her home when she heard the woman screaming for help. Mohamed Noor “shot to kill” her when she approached his squad car just minutes after she called 911. Noor refused to talk to investigators when he was offered a chance to do a voluntary interview, and prosecutors wanted to use that as evidence.
Noor was found guilty of with murder and manslaughter.

MINNESOTA COP FOUND GUILTY OF FATALLY SHOOTING BRIDE-TO-BE JUSTINE DAMOND

A Minnesota cop was found guilty Tuesday of fatally shooting Australian bride-to-be Justine Damond after she called 911 to report a possible rape behind her home.
It took a jury five hours on Monday and six on Tuesday to convict Mohamed Noor of third-degree murder and manslaughter in the July 2017 shooting.
The 33-year-old ex cop and his partner had been responding to Damond’s 911 call and driving down the alley behind her home.
That’s when the unarmed, 40-year-old yoga teacher approached their car in her pink pajamas, and was shot in the stomach.
Noor claimed he fired at the woman because he heard a loud bang on the driver’s door and thought his partner Matthew Harrity’s life was in danger.
Prosecutors questioned whether the noise was real and blasted Noor for shooting without seeing a weapon or Damond’s hands.
Noor could face anywhere from 12 and a half years for the murder charge and four year for the manslaughter charge.
