Biden's Memorial Day Address throws shade on TX voting law

HeadlineBiden defends Americans' right to vote 'freely' in Memorial Day remarks

The First take: Was it appropriate for Joe Biden to use a speech honoring the nation's war dead to push a political agenda? Some might say it was not the time or place for President Biden to take some thinly-veiled shots at a new voting law about to pass in Texas. We agree with those people.

"Blue Lives Murder" apparel allowed to be sold on Amazon

Headline‘Blue Lives Murder’ Apparel Appears For Sale On Amazon, Law Enforcement Demands Its Removal

The First take: We believe law enforcement is justifiably furious with Amazon for allowing this merchandise to remain on their website. After all, you can't find t-shirts, hats, etc. proclaiming "Amazon sucks" or "Amazon hates freedom" on the site. (We know, we checked.)

Hackers shut down US-based huge global meat supplier

HeadlineCyberattack hits world's largest meat supplier

The First take: As many of us were working the grill this past weekend, the world's biggest meat supplier, JBS USA released a statement announcing their global operations had been hit by an "organized cybersecurity attack." Perhaps Biden and the Dems will recognize cybersecurity is infrastructure that's as important as "green housing," paid leave and childcare. (Those are things actually proposed by Democrats to be considered "infrastructure.")
