Supreme Court is Poised to Overturn Roe v. Wade Next Year and Liberals are Freaking Out

Page through the links to “a look back at 2021” and the pro-abortion gloom and doom scenarios come at you fast and furious.

UPI’s Daniel Shaw’s headline was over the top but captured the sentiment: “Anti-abortion forces scored major victories in 2021, putting Roe vs. Wade on brink of extinction.” Shaw’s  opening sentence summarized the pro-abortion perspective: “The year 2021 was perhaps the most significant one for U.S. abortion rights in almost five decades and one in which anti-abortion forces scored important legal victories that could yield the most significant changes to the national landscape in recent memory.”

ABC News’s Devin Dwyer was only slightly less apocalyptic: “2021 was pivotal year for abortion laws in America–A half century of abortion rights for American women faltered this year.”

A third—State legislatures in US poised to act on abortion rights”—was slightly more realistic. Wilson Ring begins with pro-abortion strongholds (think Vermont and California) before acknowledging that pro-lifers are the ones passing most of the laws.

The Supreme Court is examining Texas’s Heartbeat Law and Mississippi’s Gestational Age Act. “Other Republican-led states are racing to follow suit,” according to Dwyer. “A record number of states have enacted more than 100 stringent new restrictions on abortion access in the last year alone, according to the Guttmacher Institute, an abortion rights research organization.”

Pro-abortion Prof. Mary Ziegler, described as “a leading abortion law historian,” describes the Supreme Court as “in dialogue with social movements, with political institutions, with health care providers, and that’s what brought us to this moment.” A fascinating insight.

So how do we square “A Washington Post-ABC News poll in November found that most Americans support upholding Roe v. Wade and opposed the Texas law by similar 2-to-1 margins” with the introduction of literally hundreds of protective laws?

Two points might clear up some of the confusion. First, as we have noted dozens of times, the public has no idea that Roe went as far as it did: essentially abortion on demand. When responding to laws that would protect unborn children and their mothers, the public supports our position of loving both. We need to hammer home at this fundamental weakness of the case for abortion.

Second, Texans approve of the Heartbeat Law! No doubt much to the dismay of the pro-abortion Houston Chronicle, a poll “conducted Oct. 4 to Oct. 21 and released Tuesday, found that 55 percent of Texans support Senate Bill 8.”

Contrary to the flood of negative media attention, Texas’ Heartbeat Law—S.B.8—found not only major support among women and men, Latino and white respondents, it also gathered strong support among Independents and nearly 4 in ten Democrats!

Pro-abortion Democrats make up one excuse after another but that doesn’t change the truth. Going into 2022, the Movement has all the momentum.

Kamala’s Kwanzaa message immediately called out as people post serious doubts

As most Americans celebrated Christmas, Vice President Kamala Harris wrote about her childhood memories from a different holiday. However, many social media users questioned the legitimacy of her claims.

“Our Kwanzaa celebrations are some of my favorite childhood memories,” Harris said Sunday on Twitter.

“As families across the United States light the red, black, and green candles of the Kinara this week, our family sends our wishes and blessings for a happy and healthy new year,” she said.

An array of comments under the tweet questioned whether Harris actually had a childhood connection to a holiday that was created less than 60 years ago.

“Sounds so nice,” one user said in a seemingly sarcastic response. “You should post pics from your childhood Kwanzaa celebrations, as an encouragement to the community today!”

“Stop you never celebrated that made up holiday,” another user said.

Philosopher and author Peter Boghossian said simply, “I do not believe you.”

Harris posted a similar Kwanzaa message last holiday season. Notably, it started with the exact same sentence as this year’s tweet.

In the video that accompanied the message, she said her family “would gather around across multiple generations” to celebrate the holiday.

However, Harris was born in 1964, while Kwanzaa did not exist until 1966. African studies professor Maulana Karenga created it to “give blacks an alternative to the existing holiday of Christmas and give blacks an opportunity to celebrate themselves and their history, rather than simply imitate the practice of the dominant society.”

So while it may be true that Harris’ parents and grandparents gathered for the holiday, their connection to the celebration would have been short-lived at the time.

Conservative commentator Matt Walsh questioned whether Harris could have “a deep childhood attachment to a holiday that didn’t exist when she was born.”

Despite the doubts of many Americans, Harris has continued to tout her connection to Kwanzaa. So far, it does not seem to have positively affected her image in the way she might have hoped.

Racist school board unanimously approves plan to pay non-white teachers more January 1, 2022 Ryan Green Latest News, Social 0

Racist school board unanimously approves plan to pay non-white teachers more

If you feel like you live in an alternative universe where reductionism replaces logic and superficiality trumps character, here’s more evidence that you may be right. We might just be living in a racist version of The Twilight Zone.

The Mankato School Board in Minnesota voted unanimously to pay non-white teachers “additional stipends” based only on the color of their skin, according to BizPac Review. If you happen to be born black or Native American and teach for the school district, you ostensibly deserve to be paid more than your peers.

You don’t have to earn the raise for going the extra mile to help students or for actually doing anything at all. The pay raise is based upon the accident of skin color and nothing else. Forget the fact that nobody gets to determine the color of skin they’re born with.

The chair of the board, Jodi Sapp, is no stranger to controversy. She raised eyebrows when she required parents to give their name and address before commenting on school matters, The Daily Wire reported.

In this latest move, Sapp led the charge to amend district policy so that only non-white teachers are eligible for additional stipends to become mentors to other non-white colleagues.

Whites need not apply. If this isn’t racist, what is?

Not everyone was happy with the vote. Republican state Rep. Jeremy Munson criticized the policy, saying, “Our largest local school district just voted to pay people differently, not on merit, or by the content of their character, but based solely on the color of their skin.”

“This is allowed and encouraged under a revision to Minnesota state Statute 122A.70,” Munson continued. “Mankato Area Public Schools Policy number 466 provides pay for black and native American school staff above which is paid to white employees.”

Board member Erin Roberts defended the policy by saying the policy isn’t a form of segregation.

Vice-chair Kenneth Reid joined Roberts in defending the vote by claiming that, “It creates global citizens at the end of the day.”

Aha! Now it begins to make sense. It’s not The Twilight Zone unless a neo-Marxist move to strip U.S. citizens of the individual human dignity guaranteed by the Constitution can only happen in an alternative universe. In the neo-Marxist world, there are no individuals. Each person is put in a group based on something outside of their control.

Maybe it’s becoming more like The Outer Limits where the audience must relinquish control of the television screen.

Is this a world you would choose to live in? Neo-Marxists are doing everything in their power to strip the individual of the power to choose.

You can’t choose what skin color you are born with, who your parents happen to be or whether you are born rich or poor. But, in America, you are born with the freedom to choose how, as an individual, you will navigate your God-given life. In America, no two lives are the same. Even identical twins experience the world uniquely. Each individual is one of a kind.

The Mankato School Board decision is akin to saying all German Shepherds are more deserving to be police dogs than their cousin Belgian Shepherds. The individual dog doesn’t matter. No need for contests. No need for training. The German Shepherds, by accident of birth, are more deserving. You get the picture. Don’t let these people do this to your children. You can’t.

I wonder what Martin Luther King, Jr., the gold standard in race relations and the American Dream, would say. Bearing in mind MLK’s signature quote, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character,” it’s safe to say he would call it what it is: racist.

MLK’s vision of America is one of a work-in-progress. We’re not there yet, but we’re on the way. The radical left seeks to undermine King’s legacy with policies that are anti-American and blatantly racist.

Don’t let them.
