Nearly 50% of Texas Hispanics Don’t Support Biden’s Open Borders Agenda Warner Todd Huston February 8, 2022

A new poll finds that 49 percent of Texas Hispanics oppose Joe Biden’s open borders and soft on illegals agenda.

The latest Dallas Morning News poll conducted between Jan. 18 and 25 found that only 38 percent of Texas Hispanics support Biden’s border agenda.

As Breitbart News noted, Biden has “invited at least 1.5 million migrants over the border and into Americans’ jobs, housing, schools, and communities.”

“What you see is a big, big [Latino] shift towards the Republican Party,” Mike Madrid, a known anti-Trumper, said. In a recent podcast, Madrid insisted that Hispanics’ drift towards the Republican Party is largely driven by Democrats’ indifference toward working Americans.

“There’s plenty of data to suggest that the real problem here is a policy problem,” Madrid said. “The Democrats are increasingly a party that is having trouble with working-class Americans because of a lot of the issues that they champion. They are viewed as the enemy of a lot of industries that provide for an $80,000 to $100,000-a-year job working in energy, working in the construction trades, working in all of these industries … It’s really that simple: ‘It’s the economy, stupid,’ right?”

Despite the clear shift, Neil Munro notes that some in the GOP establishment aren’t helping to grow that support:

However, the GOP’s establishment wing is resisting policy concessions towards the Latino votes, many of who are backing policies that will raise their wages. For example, the donor-funded GOP leaders are refusing to tout the huge pocketbook damage done to Americans by the bipartisan establishment’s economic policy of extraction migration. Since 1990, that policy has pulled millions of migrants from poor countries to serve Wall Street — and its progressive allies — as extra consumers, renters, and workers.

Still, the poll comes as good news to Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott, the Republican who is running for re-election. Even a slight advantage among Hispanics will surely help his campaign.

Account Set Up To Harass White Staffers In D.C. Dear White Staffers: Mystery Instagram account reveals dirty secrets of Congress February 4, 2022,

Account Set Up To Harass White Staffers In D.C.

(FreedomBeacon.com)- A new racist Instagram account designed to racially insult and harass white staffers working on Capitol Hill has gone viral, posting vile memes that mock white people.

The “Dear WhiteStaffers” account was set up in January of 2020, achieving mere dozens of likes on its first post. Fast forward one year, however, and the account has substantially more followers and likes…because it started posting photographs of white staffers in D.C. to mock and deride them.

The Washington Examiner revealed the extent of the social media harassment campaign, which apparently started with a photograph of Colorado Senator Michael Bennett and his team of white staff. The photograph was shared in the form of a screenshot of a tweet, and contained disparaging comments underneath.

“Lol how come all these hill staffers act and dress like they are 43 years old and act like they own their parents vacation homes on Cape Cod,’ the caption under the photograph read.

After the post went viral, the owner of the account started going further, sharing photographs from inside the Capitol building and then posting “stories” from followers of the page who claim to work as staffers in D.C. It would even post polls asking people to decide how many staffers in D.C. rely on food stamps to get by.

Now with tens of thousands of followers, the racist account has drawn the attention of the media.

When far-left House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was asked about the disturbing account, which is potentially putting white Republicans (and Democrats) in danger of attack by Black Lives Matter and Antifa activists, she shrugged off the journalist.

“Madame Speaker, there’s a new Instagram account called Dear White Staffers collecting troubling accounts…” the journalist started.

It prompted Pelosi to shrug the journalist off with a brush of her hand.

“If you’ve got something extraneous, I’m happy to get to it,” she said, before asking for another question.

If a racist account targeting Black staffers in D.C. was established, don’t you think Pelosi would have something to say about it?

Dear White Staffers: Mystery Instagram account reveals dirty secrets of Congress

·3 min read

An Instagram account where congressional staffers share their grievances about their bosses and toxic offices is roiling Capitol Hill, with some employees seemingly being told to unfollow and stop interacting with the account.

The account has promoted issues for Capitol Hill staffers such as being paid so little they qualify for food stamps, having to deal with abusive behaviour from their superiors, and minority employees feeling blocked from applying for more senior jobs.

Anonymous posts on the account are revealing how lower-level staffers are being treated, some so badly they have to seek support for their mental health.

The account, called “Dear White Staffers”, has now amassed more than 40,000 followers, including senior reporters from the nation’s top news outlets. The issues that are being highlighted have been problems for a long time, such as long hours and poor pay, and lacking staff diversity.

Hill aides say the issues are intensely rooted in the institution and despite the increased attention on the issues and bipartisan efforts to change the workplace culture, there’s widespread scepticism that Congress is willing to change to properly support those who work there.

A former Hill employee who sent in an anonymous story to the Instagram account told Politico that “Capitol Hill is staffed by the kid in the front row that has their hand up. They want to serve”.

“And then they get ground up and spit out,” they added.

Hill aides read the account’s constant stream of posts to feel understood concerning their own issues in the workplace, or to make sure that their member isn’t being unfairly criticised. Sometimes the same person follows the content for both reasons at the same time.

“When I started, it was just an open secret that things were bad, but you just put your head down,” the former House staffer added to Politico. “And I think there’s something happening right now with Dear White Staffers — that it’s just generations of staffers who have trauma-bonded, and it’s all coming to light through this Instagram account. And it’s so cathartic, and it’s so bleak. And that open secret is just being obliterated.”

The informal “Rooney rule” among Democrats is to interview at least one person of colour for each job, but some offices only adhere to this for senior positions. A former chief of staff of colour told Politico: “I can say the norm is, you know, maybe you’re lucky to get one person of colour [as a] candidate for some of these positions.”

Another previous Hill employee told the outlet they submitted a story to the Instagram account to urge others not to do “exactly what I did and stumble into an office that does not represent them, and does not share their values, and does not exemplify what they want their career to be like”.

Many staffers say that each office having its own rules and structures is a problem for the working environment.

“I would want a break-up of this system where every office is their own independent little world,” a current staffer told Politico. “That leads to a lot of abuse.”

The lack of a union for Hill staffers has also been a major talking point on the account. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on Thursday that she supported the efforts.

“Like all Americans, our tireless Congressional staff have the right to organize their workplace and join together in a union. If and when staffers choose to exercise that right, they would have Speaker Pelosi’s full support,” Ms Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff, Drew Hammill, said in a statement.

VA HIGH COURT DISMISSES SUIT  The Virginia Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a challenge to Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin's executive order allowing parents to opt out of school mask mandates. A group of parents in Chesapeake, Virginia, had filed the suit against the governor, arguing that he was obligated by state law to mandate masks in schools. The court ruled Youngkin had no such obligation and therefore could not be sued. Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares celebrated the ruling, calling it “a win for Virginia families.” Youngkin added: “We are pleased by the dismissal. We will continue to protect the rights of parents to make decisions regarding their child’s health, education, upbringing, and care.”  READ

Biden promised soon after his inauguration that he would fire “on the spot” anyone caught “treat[ing] another colleague with disrespect” or “talk[ing] down to someone.” No such action has been taken against Lander.  READ

SAVING AMERICA?  Dr. Richard Brake, headmaster at St. Michael High School in Petoskey, MI, believes that Catholic education is more important than ever. He said: "Last fall in Virginia, a particular faction let slip out something that they’ve believed for over 50 years but have kept secret until now: They don’t believe parents should be involved in their children’s education. And you saw what happened! Finally, some families woke up and started to reclaim their schools. Good for them. And for us people of faith, we realize the stakes are even higher, because we’re not only concerned with this life, but what happens in the next."  READ
