AOC to Campaign Against Democrats in Texas

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., announced that she will be heading to Texas for a rally to support two candidates in next month’s Democrat primary.

“Texans, are you ready?” Ocasio-Cortez posted Friday on Twitter. “We’re coming in for a major DOUBLE-RALLY next Saturday, Feb 12th … This one’s going to be special.”

The rally will support two candidates, Greg Casar and Jessica Cisneros who is looking to unseat incumbent Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, in Texas’ 28th Congressional District.

In 2020, Cuellar beat Cisneros by four points, but now the congressman faces some controversy in light of the FBI raiding his home last month.

The FBI has not charged Cuellar with a crime. Cisneros has called the investigation “alarming.”

Cisneros added that she was excited Ocasio-Cortez is “ready to work alongside us to finally bring true representation to South Texas families.”

Casar, who faces competition from three candidates in Texas’ 35th Congressional District, says he’s “honored” to have Ocasio-Cortez’s endorsement.

“I’m honored to have earned the endorsement of Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, who boldly fights for working families every single day,” he said. “I look forward to working with her to deliver for TX-35 residents.”

Previously, Ocasio-Cortez has gone on the attack, criticizing fellow Democrats for not using her or other progressives to bolster outreach.

“Before the Virginia elections [in November],” she says, “it was very clear that our help and our participation was not wanted or asked for, which is fine. I’m not here to tell people how to run their races.

“But at the same time, to consider the members here that have some of the tightest relationships to our political base as just a uniform liability – and not something that can be selectively deployed, or consulted, or anything – I think it’s just sad. I think it was a mistake.”

Maybe AOC will go to the border and show us some more crocodile tears for the inhumanity that is being given to the poor illegal aliens who are doing their best to break our immigration laws (with full support from democrats nationwide). It's a real miracle she would show up in Texas since there are so very many Republicans here who want to "date" her. I can't think of one personally but since she said it it must be true. Either way, I'm sure she will draw as big a crowd as Trump did - sarcasm there regarding AOC drawing any crowd, even one as big as sleepy Joe used to draw. Who knows, though, since the 35th District includes parts of San Antonio and Austin and both are full of loony tune democrats.

OMG! Hysterical looney AOC going to stand up for a candidate and endorse someone. I'd run like hell in the other direction!!

the only way an appearance by AOC can generate any interest is if she walks on stage and FINALLY removes her top -- so that America can see those 34D's in all their Glory, on that tiny little schoolgirl frame. Then of course, the looming question becomes "does the carpet match ..." ... well, you knowwww ..... let's all stand by !

Cuellar's, a Dem, only "crime" is to complain about Biden ignoring the needs of his constituents, & leaving the border wide open!

is nobody else troubled by the state-sponsored armed robbery and home invasion committed by the FBI on Cuellar's private residence? I'm not even a Democrat and I would refer charges on everyone in charge as well as RICO violations. No charges have even been filed on him?

A real simple message as to who NOT to vote for. Anyone she supports is a card carrying socialist or communist. Just look at the results of the present admin if you need an example of terrible policies that leads to destruction.

Please do not spend more that 4 hours in our state! You will mess up the air! And we all live here - so please either don't come to Texas or wear a very heavy duty gas mask - like the ones the military guys wear! At least it will cover your face and we don't have to see you! But that is not a problem - not many people will be out to see you anyway!

                                                    –Philippians 4:8-9

Every Texan like me knows the story of the Alamo. In 1836, two hundred soldiers withstood a siege by Mexican general Santa Anna’s forces for nearly two weeks. Finally, on the thirteenth day, Santa Anna overcame them and slaughtered every soldier. But six weeks later, Santa Anna’s forces were defeated in a surprise attack at San Jacinto. What was the battle cry that led the Texans to victory? “Remember the Alamo!” Were they remembering the defeat at the Alamo? The fortress we know as the Alamo? No, that battle cry was about remembering the heroes of the Alamo–those men who had the courage to keep on fighting to the very end.

That is exactly what the writer of Hebrews meant when he wrote, “Since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us . . . let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.” (12:1). What “cloud of witnesses” was he talking about? Well, the writer just spent chapter 11 talking about Noah, Abraham, Moses, Rahab, and other men and women of faith. He was saying, “As you think about these heroes of the faith, follow their example.”

Now, this verse is not about people sitting in the grandstands of heaven and looking down at us; it is about us remembering those who are in heaven and remaining faithful because of the example they have set.

Are you feeling ridiculed for your faith? Are people at work or school making fun of you because of your commitment to Christ? Remember Noah, who labored for 120 years building a giant boat in the middle of a desert. People made fun of him, but he remained faithful.

Do you feel like God has forgotten His promises to you? Remember Sarah, who was ninety years old when God finally fulfilled His promise to give her a son.

Do you feel like you cannot resist temptation in your life? Remember Moses, who chose to endure the ill-treatment of God’s people rather than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin in Egypt.

Are you having difficulty letting go of that one thing in your life that you know displeases God? Remember Abraham, who was willing to offer that which meant the most to him, his own son Isaac, in order to please God.

If you want to win the race of the Christian life, remember your spiritual heroes.
