Dear Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner. I pray that you will forgive me for all of my sins, that you will come into my heart and be my Lord, the savior of my life. I confess that you died on the cross to save me from my sins and I am committed to turning away from those sins. I ask that you fill me with your Holy Spirit so that I can be born again. I ask that you give me the strength and abundant faith to overcome any and all attacks by the enemy, including my desire to sin so that I may serve you completely. I pray that you will give me discernment so that I may know all things that are truth, and the knowledge acquired from reading your Word. Use me this day as I am a willing vessel Lord, in leading others to your kingdom. Wash me as white as snow. Put a hedge of protection around me as I go forth in doing your will. Thank you Jesus for saving me, as I know that only through my faith in you that all this is possible.
Amen

“Squad” Member Refuses To Back Down From “Defund The Police” Movement

“Squad” Member Refuses To Back Down From “Defund The Police” Movement

(RepublicanInformer.com)- Representative Cori Bush, a member of the Squad in the House, refuses to back down from the slogan to “defund the police,” even though plenty members of the Democratic Party are asking her to do so.

As the midterm elections are quickly approaching, Democrats are concerned that ultra-progressive stances like this one that the Squad members keep pushing could result in them losing control of both the House and the Senate.

But, Bush stuck to her guns, telling Axios Tuesday:

“I always tell [fellow Democrats], ‘if you all had fixed this before I got here, I wouldn’t have to say these things.'”

Instead of backing down from the rhetoric, Bush says Democrats need to better explain to all voters what “defund the police” actually means. She claims that some of the funding that’s currently going to police departments could be spent better on social services that would be more pre-emptive.

Bush, who is from Missouri, also said that if Democrats were to lose in the midterms, it wouldn’t be because the Squad adopted the “defund the police” slogan, but because liberals weren’t able to adopt the sweeping reforms under President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better bill.

As she said:

“‘Defund the police’ is not the problem. We dangled the carrot in front of people’s faces and said we can get it done and that Democrats deliver, when we haven’t totally delivered.

“If [Republicans] take the majority, it’s just done as far as trying to get the legislation across.”

Over the last two years, violent crime has risen across the United States. A study conducted by the Council on Criminal Justice found that murders increased 5% last year, and have gone up by 44% since back in 2019.

The rising rates of violent crime and recent election results have many in the Democratic Party trying to back away from the “defund the police” movement, which began not long after the death of George Floyd while in police custody in Minneapolis in the summer of 2020.

Bush even said that some of her colleagues have said the Squad using the slogan is hurting them in their own districts.

In fact, some Democrats are taking the exact opposite stance, requesting more funding for police in their district. California Representative Karen Bass, who is running for Los Angeles mayor, said the city needs more police as residents “don’t feel safe.”

She also committed to add more officers to the city’s police force, getting it up to close to 10,000 authorized officers.

As she told the Los Angeles Times recently:

“Whether you’ve had your car broken into, your backpack stolen, your property damaged — or you’ve seen news coverage of home robberies or violent assaults — more and more Angelenos I speak with tell me crime has touched them personally, and they feel scared.”

It’s this fear that has many Americans distancing their own opinions from that of the Squad. But, the Squad’s refusal to understand the will of the people is what may ultimately do in the entire Democratic Party.

Beto O’Rourke Complains Abortion Companies Can’t Kill Babies Under Texas Abortion Ban: It’s “Bad for Business”

State  |  Micaiah Bilger  |   Feb 11, 2022   |   1:18PM   |  Austin, Texas

Texas Democrat Beto O’Rourke complained Thursday that protecting unborn babies from abortions is “not good for business.”

Speaking at a political rally in San Antonio, O’Rourke blasted pro-life Gov. Greg Abbott for hurting the state economy by signing a law that bans abortions once an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detectable. The former Democrat congressman is running for governor against Abbott in November.

“When Abbott tries to sell you on the idea that he’s good for business, just remember this,” O’Rourke wrote on Twitter, sharing a short video from the rally.

In the video, he slammed the life-saving heartbeat law as harmful to women and “business.”

“If you are driving out women because you don’t trust them to make their own decisions about their own bodies and you place a $10,000 bounty on the backs of anybody that seeks to help anybody else make their own reproductive health care decisions, that’s not good for business in the state of Texas,” O’Rourke said.

The heartbeat law may be hurting abortion businesses, but it is helping to save numerous lives. Since the law went into effect in September, as many as 13,860 unborn babies have been spared from violent abortion deaths in Texas.

O’Rourke claims he is “running for governor to serve ALL the people of Texas,” but he completely disregards babies in the womb. His position on abortion is radical and out of touch with the vast majority of Americans. He had a 100-percent pro-abortion voting record while he was in U.S. Congress. He also sponsored a pro-abortion bill that would have legalized abortions for basically any reason up to birth, the so-called “Women’s Health Protection Act.”

During his presidential campaign, he even said he supports abortions without limits up to birth.

“That should be a decision that the woman makes. I trust her,” O’Rourke said at the time.

Later, he added that he supports forcing taxpayers to fund elective abortions, including third-trimester abortions on viable late-term unborn babies.

O’Rourke’s position does not match most Americans’ or most Texans’. An October poll from the University of Houston/Texas Southern University found a solid 55 percent of Texas residents support the state heartbeat law.

A new report from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission confirms a substantial drop in abortions in September 2021 after the implementation of the Texas Heartbeat Act. The state agency reported a total of 2,197 abortions after the ban took effect, compared to an astonishing 5,404 abortions committed the month before.

The 2,197 abortions in September represents a 60 percent decrease in abortions. Before the Texas Heartbeat Act, there were more than 160 abortions committed each day in Texas. In September, this plummeted to around 70 each day.

Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion chain, called this good news “devastating.”
