TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE

“The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.” -  2 Timothy 4:22

SOMETHING TO PONDER

I watched as they walked towards the parking lot and into my driving path. They were a mother-daughter duo, one young, one old. Immediately I pause, I smile, and I motion for them to go on. I can tell it will be a slow process and one that is physically and emotionally exhausting for both of them. The older woman clinging to independence. The younger one clinging to what is left of her mother’s mobility and her time.

As they get to the other side, the older woman looks back and smiles proudly in my direction, just as the daughter smiles in gratitude. I was grateful that it was me they were converging with today– a woman who knows the responsibility of caretaking and the sting of losing a mother. A woman who knows the power of time—both given and received. As I drive past, waving at both of them, I thank God that they encountered the empathetic me and not the hurried me. I’m thankful that I led with grace and compassion– because, as an imperfect woman, this is not always the case.

I recognized their struggle and the invisible grief in their hearts—so I took the extra time. When you understand someone and know their story, it’s easy to offer grace and compassion. But what about in times when we aren’t privy to the path someone has walked and is currently walking? Do we show up with understanding and patience, or do we sometimes get lost in the hurry of the day and the quickness of time and to-do’s?

As I gather my thoughts at bedtime, the situation empowers me to show up exactly how I did today– exactly as God calls us to– with a humble spirit of grace, patience, and generosity.

Scripture tells us to act in a spirit of love and encouragement, reminding us to uplift and bless others in both word and action– and also ourselves. Tonight, as you prepare for rest, open your heart for intentional grace and kindness and your mind for God’s guidance and wisdom so that tomorrow, you will show up as the best version of yourself– one led by prayer and Him.

YOUR NIGHTLY PRAYER

Lord,
Please ensure I walk with a spirit of grace and forgiveness. Allow kindness to flow freely as I encounter others, even when I do not understand their circumstance or their story. Allow me to see others in your eyes, always knowing they are worthy of your love, which should come from me in the form of grace, compassion, and patience.
In Jesus’ name, amen.

THREE THINGS TO MEDITATE UPON

1. A time when you needed the compassion and kindness of others because of a hidden trouble or circumstance you were facing. How could things have been better if you received God’s love through someone in that moment?

2. A time when your day has been nourished by the love of God in undeniable ways through those you’ve encountered– not in coincidence, but in bold and intentional circumstances.

3. One way you can show up tomorrow is with grace in your soul and kindness flowing freely from your heart. How can you ensure a stranger receives God’s love through you?

Donald Trump burst Democrats’ bubble by revealing one fact about border czar Tom Homan

Mar 3, 2025

Record-breaking numbers of illegal aliens poured across the border on a daily basis during all four years of Joe Biden’s Presidency.

But illegal border crossings dropped to a 15-year low by the end of Donald Trump’s first month in office.

And Donald Trump burst Democrats’ bubble by revealing one fact about border czar Tom Homan.

Joe Biden nearly destroyed the United States by allowing millions of illegal aliens to cross the border and enter the country on his watch.

More than 12 million illegal aliens entered the United States over the past four years.

The massive influx of illegal aliens led to soaring crime rates, busted budgets, and drained resources from American citizens in big cities like Chicago and New York City.

Donald Trump won a mandate to secure the border and carry out the largest mass deportation program in American history.

Trump selected former Immigration and Customers Enforcement Director Tom Homan as his border czar.

During Trump’s first term in office, Homan played an instrumental role in his successful border security policies.

Homan told Americans to expect “shock and awe” when the deportations started.

And he was not joking around.

In less than a month, illegal crossings have dropped 95% while Immigration and Customs Enforcement has conducted more than 21,000 arrests.

“I started as a Border Patrol Agent in 1984 and I don’t remember the numbers ever being that low,” Homan said. “President Trump promised a secure border and he is delivering.”

On Monday, ICE arrested more than 100 illegal aliens in a Houston neighborhood.

“The charges and convictions among the 118 arrests include criminal sexual conduct, homicide, theft, negligent manslaughter, child sexual abuse, crimes of moral turpitude, weapons offenses and drug offenses,” Fox reported.

However, both Homan and Trump believe the deportations aren’t happening quick enough.

But Democrats are slowing down the process.

They’re undermining ICE agents and protecting illegal aliens from deportation through so-called “sanctuary” laws.

Homan issued a warning to these Democrats in sanctuary cities.

He singled out a few cities, such as Boston.

Homan said criminals had been released back into communities instead of being transferred for deportation proceedings.

“I’m coming to Boston,” he said. “I’m bringing hell with me.”

Of course, Democrats and the media are trashing and smearing Tom Homan.

But Donald Trump dropped a truth bomb on the Left about Tom Homan.

“AMERICA LOVES TOM HOMAN!!!” Trump wrote.

Polls show Trump is correct.

A recent Harvard-Harris poll found 81% of Americans across the board support deporting criminal illegal aliens, including 62% of Democrats.

And the poll also showed more than three-fourths of people across the board support Trump’s “policies that discourage illegal crossings.”

Why America and Canada Must Unite as Allies Against China by Gary Isbell February 27, 2025

Why America and Canada Must Unite as Allies Against China

At first glance, the United States and Canada seem like two siblings who grew up in the same neighborhood but chose slightly different paths. One drove a flashy car, dreamed big, and became the extrovert at every party. The other, while quieter and more contemplative, cultivated a reputation for politeness and pragmatic wisdom.

Despite their differences, these North American neighbors share more than just a border. Geography binds them, but shared values must unite them. Now, more than ever, these two countries must strengthen their alliance morally, economically, and militarily against a threatening China.

One of the most compelling arguments for deeper collaboration between the U.S. and Canada is their shared foundation in Christian traditions, morals and governing structures. Their legal systems’ moral underpinnings are rooted in common law, the rule of law, and individual freedom, contrary to China’s authoritarian communist regime.

Together, America and Canada can play a crucial role in preserving the best aspects of Western civilization.

Eternal and Natural Law: The Foundation of Morals and Law

America and Canada are natural allies in the truest sense of the word. They share the longest undefended border in the world, which is an extraordinary testament to mutual trust and respect. The cooperation between the two nations fosters seamless collaboration in energy production, trade and defense.

Together, North America is an unparalleled energy superpower. Canada’s vast reserves of oil, natural gas and critical minerals perfectly complement America’s vast resources and its ability to refine, export, and commercialize resources at scale. A cohesive U.S.-Canada supply chain would reduce dependence on inferior Chinese goods while innovating toward cutting-edge technologies and bolstering energy security for the West. Joining forces makes sense to counter China’s dominance in rare earth minerals and manufacturing.

Canada is not a competitor but an American partner. Trade between the two nations remains one of the most prolific globally—over $1.7 billion in goods and services are exchanged daily. By enhancing this economic interdependence and strengthening agreements designed for mutual benefit, America and Canada can solidify their status as a united economic front capable of countering China’s pursuit of dominance in global markets.

It is easy to assume that America and Canada are the same, except for their accents and a few preferences. However, while they share English and French heritage, cultural differences make each country uniquely exceptional. These differences are strengths, not obstacles.

The United States thrives on innovation, pushing boundaries, and raw ambition. In contrast, Canada offers balanced pragmatism, diplomacy, and a deep respect for international partnerships. If properly cultivated, the United States’ bold global leadership paired with Canada’s pragmatic wisdom is a win-win situation.

Those tempted to suggest that America simply absorb Canada as its 51st state must consider that independence and identity are paramount to fostering mutual respect. America and Canada are distinctly different nations with unique histories, cultures and origins. Amalgamation would suffocate qualities that make this relationship so vital. The focus should be on fostering and celebrating each country’s good elements while working in harmony toward shared goals.

The elephant in the room—or the dragon, as it were—is communist China. Its disturbing appetite for expansion is a cause for great concern. From its aggressive military presence in the South China Sea to its self-serving Belt and Road Initiative, China is systematically extending its tentacles across the globe.

Canada, for example, has already faced China’s overreach in areas such as foreign interference in its affairs. Thus, maintaining distance is not merely an option—it’s a necessity.

A fortified U.S.-Canada alliance would send an unmistakable signal to Beijing. Economically, a united North America could reduce reliance on cheap Chinese imports, improve supply chains, and create a more balanced flow of trade. If Canada could upgrade its military, the combined strength of the two countries would ensure the safety of critical infrastructure and Arctic trade routes threatened by China and Russia.

America and Canada should not merge; they need to march forward together. By deepening their alliance, these two nations can amplify the power of their shared values, abundant resources and complementary strengths. They can defend the future of Western civilization against totalitarian enemies who are increasingly active in today’s world.
