Charles Schumer is getting death threats from fellow Democrats, especially lawmakers in the House of Representatives. Left leaning media reports that “House Democrats from across the party’s ideological spectrum” are “united in their fury.” Chuck caved in and cleared the way for Senate Republicans to extend the budget deadline.

Schumer caves in

After Schumer signaled agreement with Republicans, ten Democrats threw in the towel and actually voted in favor of the budget extension. Between the two events, there was a mad scramble on the left to control the damage.

House lawmakers felt they had “a glimmer of hope, however faint, that they can actually persuade their Senate counterparts to reject a Republican-led government spending bill.” That spark flickered and died on the floor.

Before the vote made the issue a moot point, everyone on the blue team was working behind the scenes to whip the Senate.

“There is a massive effort going on with people reaching out to their senators … still happening this morning,” one informed Axios on Friday, March 14. It was already too late once Schumer sold them out.

While they were out trying to convince “four or five” senators they knew had been leaning the wrong direction to see reason, House Democrats also started “circulating a draft letter to Schumer.”

They voiced their “strong opposition” to passing the spending measure. They basically labeled the ranking Democrat senator a traitor.

Capitulating to Republican chaos

Caving in, they scolded Schumer, doesn’t help the progressive cause. “The American people sent Democrats to Congress to fight against Republican chaos,” they snarled.

“Instead of capitulating to their obstruction, we must fight … we urge you to reject the partisan continuing resolution.” They had done their part by casting every vote they had in the House to say “no.” What was the point? They mope.

The letter was signed by “66 Democrats including many moderates and swing-district members.”

Meanwhile, Democrats on the House Appropriations Committee are working on a nastygram of their own, drafting Schumer a letter urging him to “reject the partisan and harmful” spending measure.

Democrats were hoping that they could block the spending bill long enough to add language “to stop DOGE from cutting congressional approved spending.”

They didn’t like it when Senator Schumer told them the raw political truth. “Democrats would ultimately lose a shutdown fight.” That would be handing Donald Trump the keys to his kingdom.

And cartels have one scary plan at the border that put Donald Trump on red alert.

Cartels are using drones at the border

President Donald Trump declared the Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations on his first day in office. 

His administration has pressured Mexican president Claudia Sheinbaum to crack down on them. 

The cartels have seen their flow of illegal drugs and human trafficking into the United States slow down after Trump began securing the border. 

But they’re not going to go quietly into the night. 

A Border Patrol official revealed that the cartels are using drones to keep tabs on law enforcement around the border. 

Mexican authorities arrested a drone operator on their side of the border last year who was spying on Border Patrol agents.

Border Patrol El Paso Sector interim Chief Agent Walter N. Slosar revealed that his agents are under constant surveillance. 

“We see the drones every day. The cartels use the drones to identify where the authorities are and how they can manage entries,” Slosar explained. “We are trying to identify exactly where they are to stop that tactic.”

He said that the Border Patrol is working with its Mexican counterparts to be able to identify the drone operators on the ground. 

Cartels make a chilling threat at the Border Patrol

Slosar admitted that he was worried about the regular drone presence over the southern border. 

“Do I worry? I worry about everything: land, air, underground,” Slosar stated. “We are trying to make sure the border is safe on both sides. That is why we work with federal, state and community partners – to identify where they are using the drones and what we have to do to combat them.”

The cartels have been increasingly using drones as part of their turf wars in Mexico. 

Mexican military and security forces were attacked with drones carrying explosives in the state of Chihuahua last month. 

Drones are also being used by the cartels to transport drugs across the border for drop-offs in neighborhoods in El Paso, Texas. 

An internal Border Patrol memo titled “Officer Safety Alert” warned that cartels could use drones equipped with explosives for cross-border attacks on agents. 

“On February 1, 2025, the El Paso Sector Intelligence and Operations Center (EPT-IOC) received information advising that Mexican cartel leaders have authorized the deployment of drones equipped with explosives to be used against US Border Patrol agents and US military personnel currently working along the border with Mexico,” the internal memo statedBorder Patrol agents were warned to be aware of their surroundings at all times. 

NewsNations reported that this warning was based on threats the cartels were making on social media. 

“Border Czar” Tom Homan predicted that violence could escalate at the border because the cartels wouldn’t give up their lucrative drug smuggling and human trafficking business without a fight.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has announced that she is “aggressively pursuing” the people in the intel community who are leaking information to the mainstream media.

Gabbard is vowing to prosecute these leakers after classified information about American foreign policy on Iran, Israel, and Russia was leaked to reporters at mainstream media outlets like NBC News and The Washington Post.

“Our nation’s Intelligence Community must be focused on our national security mission. Politically motivated leaks undermine our national security and the trust of the American people, and will not be tolerated,” Gabbard wrote in a post on X.

“Unfortunately, such leaks have become commonplace with no investigation or accountability,” she added. “That ends now. We know of and are aggressively pursuing recent leakers from within the Intelligence Community and will hold them accountable.”

The director of national intelligence went on to list several examples of these “unauthorized leaks,” including one case where a leaker had shared “classified information” with the far-left outlet Huffington Post. Another case involved unauthorized leaks to The Washington Post about Iran and Israel.

In yet another case, one intel worker provided NBC News with information about the United States’ relationship with Russia, while another provided The Record with information about activities of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center.

“Any unauthorized release of classified information is a violation of the law and will be treated as such,” Gabbard explained.

Gabbard’s announcement was widely praised by conservatives on social media, with Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) writing: “I’m grateful that [Gabbard] is working to end leaking and the weaponization of the Intelligence Community. Another promise made and promise kept.”

This news comes after Gabbard recently revoked the security clearances of several disgraced government officials and former intel community members who have used their positions to interfere in elections and to dig up dirt on their political opponents.

“Per [President Donald Trump’s] directive, I have revoked security clearances and barred access to classified information for Antony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, Lisa Monaco, Mark Zaid, Norman Eisen, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg, and Andrew Weissman, along with the 51 signers of the Hunter Biden ‘disinformation’ letter. The President’s Daily Brief is no longer being provided to former President Biden,” Gabbard explained in a post on X on March 10.

Authorities have arrested an illegal alien for brutally beating his infant daughter, who he believed was not his, to death.

Marlon Rabanales-Pretzantzin, a 20-year-old Guatemalan illegal alien, was arrested in New York after brutally beating his two-month-old to death. The child, Liseyda Rabanales-Barrios, was found dead at a home on Maple Road in Nassau County suffering from multiple broken bones, abrasions, and other injuries. At the time, they told first responders that the baby had fallen unconscious after falling off a bed.

However, charging documents obtained by ABC 7 show that Rabanales-Pretzantzin had repeatedly punched the infant in the stomach with a closed fist, slapped her in the face, violently shook her, and even threw her. The illegal alien then allegedly used a closed fist to put his entire body weight on the child’s chest.

Rabanales-Pretzantzin admitted to investigators that he had killed his child, telling authorities that he attacked the infant because he did not want her.

During a press conference, Nassau County Police Detective Capt. Stephen Fitzpatrick explained: “He admitted to us what had happened with the baby, how he abused it physically, how he felt the child wasn’t his and how he did not respect or want that child. He hit the child several times around the head and face. He threw the child on the ground.”

Fitzpatrick further revealed that an autopsy report had uncovered “older fractures within the ribs,” which suggested that the infant had suffered prior physical abuse. He also explained that the infant had sustained cervical spinal damage, sub-cranial bleeding, fractured ribs, and facial abrasions during the attack that killed her.

Rabanales-Pretzantzin was taken into custody on March 7 and booked into the Nassau County Jail without bail. He has been charged with second-degree murder and has plead not guilty, despite confessing to the crime.

The mother of the child was allegedly not involved in her daughter’s death, though a one-year-old child has been removed from her home pending an evaluation.

It is unclear how Rabanales-Pretzantzin made it to New York, but it has been confirmed that the illegal alien entered the U.S. through El Paso, Texas, in 2022. Reports indicate that Rabanales-Pretzantzin was initially taken into custody by immigration authorities but was ultimately released while he waited for an immigration hearing.

In response to this news, Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder laid some of the blame for the crime on the Biden administration, as their lax immigration enforcement allowed for Rabanales-Pretzantzin to enter the country and commit this horrific crime.

“Enough is enough,” Ryder said, adding: “I want you to all think about this man who should not have been in this country. This man should have never had a child in with him, in his residence. And what he did to this kid is unthinkable. Enough is enough. We got to stop this. We can’t have it no more.”

An ICE detainer will be placed on the criminal illegal alien, though it is unclear if that will be honored, as New York is a “sanctuary state” and therefore refuses to abide by ICE detainers.

New York City officials are reportedly planning to ignore a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer for an illegal alien who burned a women alive on the subway.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem announced in a video on March 5 that officials in New York City had indicated their intent to ignore the ICE detainer on 33-year-old Guatemalan illegal alien Sebastian Zapeta, who was seen on camera throwing a lighter onto a random sleeping woman on the subway. He then sat and watched the victim, Debrina Kawam, burn to death. According to investigators, Zapeta did not know the woman and had never interacted with her — meaning that he just decided to commit a random, extremely gruesome murder. Kawam’s body was so damaged in the attack that it took over a week to identify her.

Zapeta is facing murder and arson charges for the December 2024 attack.

“It’s the most depraved act that a human being can commit against another person,” Noem said.

Noem explained in the video shared to X, which was filmed at the same Coney Island subway station where the murder occurred, that New York City officials were refusing to cooperate with ICE despite the gravity of the crime.

“ICE lodged an immigration detainer with the NYC Department of Corrections to take this depraved alien into custody. Because of current sanctuary city policy, the corrections department has indicated it will NOT honor the detainer,” the DHS secretary said.

“This is disgusting. New York politicians are allowing the murder of their own citizens,” Noem added. “NY Governor Hochul should impose an emergency suspension of sanctuary protection by executive order NOW.”

ICE detainers are documents requesting that officials hold illegal aliens until agents can pick them up to begin deportation proceedings. However, so-called “sanctuary states” and “sanctuary cities” like New York City have refused to honor those detainers or cooperate with ICE in any way, which means that they will release criminal illegal aliens back on the streets to continue to terrorize Americans.

It is unclear exactly how long Zapeta has been in the United States. It has been confirmed that he has been deported at least once after entering the U.S. illegally in 2018 under President Donald Trump’s first term in office. He later reentered the U.S. at an unknown date and settled in New York, where he was being housed in a shelter for illegal aliens.
