This School Is Being Attacked for Hanging a Certain Picture on Their Wall [PICTURE]
The angry atheist group Freedom From Religion Foundation is determined to stamp out any possible references to Christianity anywhere they can found.
Their preferred tactic of late is to bully football teams and high schools, attempting to intimidate them into banning crosses, Christian books, prayer at school functions, or even pictures or plaques on walls.
Such is the case in Oklahoma, according to Mad World News, where these atheists are bullying a school to remove a painting featuring two young children praying.
The painting, titled “Faith in America”, has been hanging on the wall in Kenneth Cooper Middle School in Oklahoma City for 18 years. Nobody ever complained about the picture, until now.
The school, however, is refusing to cave in to the demands of the angry atheists, and their lawyer released a statement explaining why.
“We cannot agree that the poster displayed in the office is a per se violation of the Establishment Clause of the United States Constitution,” wrote attorney Anthony Childers. “Though, as you’ve pointed out, the title given to the artwork by the original artist is labeled ‘Faith in America,’ there is no text displayed with the poster which imputes the artist’s intent, theme, or title.”
Childers added that the picture “is general and not sectarian and that it does not appear to be urging students toward any singular religious view or act.”
Of course this made the angry atheists even angrier, and they stand by their demands that the “offensive” picture be removed.
Hopefully the school will stand strong and refuse to cave in to the demands of intolerant atheists who can’t bear even seeing something they disagree with. Tough for them, and congratulations to the school for defying them.
Please share this on Facebook and Twitter if you support the school standing strong and refusing to take down a picture that offended no one for the past 18 years.
