National Day of Prayer this Thursday, May 2, 2019

A Personal Note from Tim Wildmon - AFA President

Dear Carl,
AFA is joining the National Day of Prayer Task Force for the annual observance of theNational Day of Prayer this Thursday, May 2, 2019, where you and I join with government leaders and people in communities all around the country to lift our needs and concerns for America before the Lord.
I received this note today from our friend, Dave Butts, who is chairman of the board of directors for the National Day of Prayer:
"Greetings from Washington DC. My wife Kim and I have been in the Capitol since Saturday, prayer-walking and preparing for the National Day of Prayer.  Prayer leaders are pouring into the city to spend these days interceding for our nation. I love this week!
This Thursday and every first Thursday in May is set by law as a day of prayer for the United States. What a gift of God! As excited as I am about what happens here in Washington DC, I'm even more excited about what is happening where you live. It’s out in the communities all over our nation that millions will gather to pray. Over 40,000 prayer events are planned. I hope you'll be a part of one of those."
Now more than ever before, it is imperative that we as God's people remain on our knees for our nation and fellow citizens. The critical challenges facing the United States and the culture at large call for faithful, persevering intercession - not only on the National Day of Prayer, but throughout the year.
Visit www.NationalDayofPrayer.org to find an event in your area and to learn more about National Day of Prayer.
Thank you,
Tim
