Carmine Sabia at The Federalist Papers reports that New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appears to be competing with herself to see which of her statements could be the most ridiculous.

She caused waves on Saturday by stating that immigrants who arrived at Ellis Island did not get into the United States in a legal fashion.

When called on how incorrect that statement was she chose not to acknowledge that she had made an error, but to keep pushing it by saying citizenship is racist.
