Hail Mary

Cardinal Cupich has commanded one of his priests in Libertyville, IL to cease praying the Hail Mary and prayer to St. Michael the Archangel publicly after Mass. The laity may pray it silently on their own, but they may not (according to Cardinal Cupich) pray it aloud as a group.

Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
