The FBI refused to comply with a subpoena issued by Chairman Comer and the Oversight Committee to turn over a FD-1023 form outlining allegations Joe Biden accepted a $5 million bribe while serving as Vice President.
Instead, the FBI allowed Comer and Oversight Committee ranking member Jamie Raskin (D-MD) to view the document at FBI headquarters.
Following his opportunity to look at the Biden bribery document Comer briefed reporters on what he discovered.
Comer said the FBI once again refused to comply with a lawful subpoena issued by Congress under its Article I authority.
“At the briefing, the FBI again refused to hand over the unclassified record to the custody of the House Oversight Committee and we will now initiate contempt of Congress hearings this Thursday,” Comer stated.
Comer continued on, revealing that the FBI paid the confidential human informant who brought the allegation forward hundreds of thousands of dollars over a ten year period and described the source as “highly credible.”
“FBI officials confirmed that the unclassified, FBI-generated record has not been disproven and is currently being used in an ongoing investigation,” Comer added. “The confidential human source who provided information about then-Vice President Biden being involved in a criminal bribery scheme is a trusted, highly credible informant who has been used by the FBI for over ten years and has been paid over six figures.”
Comer blasted the administration for trying to gaslight the public about this scandal and the FBI for casting its lot with the Democrat Party.
“These are facts,” Comer declared. “And no amount of spin, and frankly lies, from the White House or Congressional Democrats can change this information.”
“Americans have lost trust in the FBI’s ability to enforce the law impartially,” Comer concluded.
Comer then announced his intention to hold a contempt of Congress vote against FBI Director Christopher Wray for his failure to turnover the FD-1023 form.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said he would support this vote once it came to the floor of the House.

Republicans made investigating the weaponization of the federal government one of the key priorities of the new majority.
