Praying That You Will Go Free!
I love using prayers I find in the Scriptures. If nothing else, they are great guides and I know I can rely on them. lol. Oh, I’m kidding, but then again, maybe I’m not. Take a look at Paul’s prayer for the believers in Ephesus:
Let me give you an example of what I mean. Our fear of God is built on His love for us. A Holy fear of God is not being afraid that he is going to “bonk” you on the head if you are caught in some little failure. No, it is the fear of His Holiness against rebellion — and of what he does to those who love darkness rather than light.
Christians who live in guilt, fear and condemnation are obviously not “rooted and grounded” in the love of God. Our heavenly Father sent his Son to die for our sins and weaknesses, and without fully knowing and fully understanding that kind of love, you will never have a stable or permanent foundation! Dear God, I wish we could understand this.
Well, my friend, this is the day you are going to wake up to God’s love for you! I pray that as you read this message, something is going to strike deep in your heart, and you will be able to say, “You’re right, brother! That is me, and I don’t want to live this way anymore!” So this morning I am praying that you will grab hold of this truth — that it will open your eyes and help you enter a whole new realm of joy and peace in your daily walk with him.
Go ahead and pray, “Father, open my heart. Show me how deep and wide your love is. Help me make that the foundation of my faith. Show me you Glory and Mercy. I love you immensely, and my only desire is to know you.”

“I’m asking God to give you a gift from the wealth of his glory. I pray that he would give you inner strength and power through his Spirit. Then Christ will live in you through faith. I also pray that love may be the ground into which you sink your roots and on which you have your foundation. This way, with all of God’s people you will be able to understand how wide, long, high, and deep his love is. You will know Christ’s love, which goes far beyond any knowledge. I am praying this so that you may be completely filled with God.” (Ephesians 3:16-19)Ooh, I love that: “that you may be completely filled with God!” But the interesting thing here is right above that: “the ground into which you sink your roots.” This means “to build under you a deep and stable foundation of knowing and understanding the love of God to you.” In other words, the knowledge of God’s love is supposed to be the foundational truth on which all others truths will be built! Cool, huh?

“[That you] . . . may be able to comprehend . . . the love of Christ” (Ephesians 3:18-19). The Greek word used here suggests “to eagerly seize or lay hold of.” Paul is saying that we are to seize this truth and make it the foundation of our life; that we are to put our spiritual hands out and say, “I am going to lay hold of this!”Look, some of you have confided with me what is going on in your life, but for most of you, I have no idea. That doesn’t matter, because I know some of you are struggling with some stuff that you just can’t shake off; sins that are strangling your confidence and defeating you. Some of you are overwhelmed with a sense of never measuring up, of being unworthy. You are afraid that the devil is going to trip you up, and somehow you are going to fail God.
Well, my friend, this is the day you are going to wake up to God’s love for you! I pray that as you read this message, something is going to strike deep in your heart, and you will be able to say, “You’re right, brother! That is me, and I don’t want to live this way anymore!” So this morning I am praying that you will grab hold of this truth — that it will open your eyes and help you enter a whole new realm of joy and peace in your daily walk with him.
