Clinton Sent Confidential Emails After Leaving State

As if it weren't bad enough that Hillary Clinton sent and received confidential government emails on her personal server while Secretary of State, now the New York Post is reporting that Clinton sent classified emails to senior officials after she left office.
The email was redacted because according to the State Department it contains, "Foreign relations or foreign activities of the United States, including confidential sources." Whom was Clinton emailing about confidential sources after she left office? According to the Post recipients include Deputy Secretary of State William Burns, diplomat Jeffrey Feltman, policy aide Jake Sullivan, diplomat Kurt Campbell, State Department chief of staff Cheryl Mills, and Clinton aide Huma Abedin.
The email was sent from Clinton's hrod17@clintonemails.com account. Both Mills and Abedin, key aides to Clinton, also used email accounts on the personal server.
The news comes at the same time as the FBI has revealed that they recovered 30 new emails from Clinton's personal server related to the September 11, 2012 Benghazi terrorist attacks. Despite Clinton insisting that she never sent or received classified information from that account, the State Department says it needs until the end of September to review the new emails and remove any classified information before releasing them.

Are There Silent Trump Voters?

“They won’t say that publicly because of this environment that’s come from mainstream media.”

Is there a hidden cache of silent Donald Trump voters waiting in the wings to make him the surprise choice for president this November? The idea of a silent majority is not new and now researchers, pundits and pollsters are talking about it again.
A story from McClatchy News puts forward the idea that voters don't want to tell polling firms that they are backing Trump even when they are:
Dennis Berwyn, a Raleigh research analyst, estimated he’s knocked on 2,000 doors in northeastern Wake County in recent weeks as he campaigns for a local candidate. People invite him into their living rooms, and occasionally they quietly assure him they’re with Trump.
“They tell me they won’t say that publicly,” he said. “It’s because of this environment that’s come from the mainstream media.”
That makes it harder to assess Trump’s strength than that of other North Carolina Republicans, one party operative said.
The article goes on to point out that an experiment conducted research firm Morning Consult ahead of the Iowa Caucuses showed that Trump polled far better in online polls where voters didn't have to speak to a live person than he did in telephone polls that require human interaction.

Most of the coverage, and the outrage, surrounding NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick's decision to sit for the national anthem and then sound off about it to reporters has focused on questions of patriotism. But in the middle of his comments, Kaepernick also sounded off about both presidential candidates.
As NewsBusters is reporting, comments regarding one candidate are being covered while the other is not. Here is the transcript of the exchange, courtesy of NewsBusters.
KAEPERNICK: ... I think the two presidential candidates that we currently have also represent the issues that we have in this country right now.
REPORTER: Do you want to expand on that?
KAEPERNICK: You have Hillary who has called black teens or black kids super predators, you have Donald Trump who’s openly racist. We have a presidential candidate who has deleted emails and done things illegally and is a presidential candidate. That doesn't’t make sense to me because if that was any other person you’d be in prison. So, what is this country really standing for?
Then comes the analysis: how are the mainstream media outlets covering this? Well, The Associated Press wire service ran with comments about Trump being racist but made no mention of Clinton and prison. Same with many other outlets, as NewsBusters discovered.
A Google News search on [kaepernick trump "openly racist"] (typed exactly as indicated between brackets, sorted by date without duplicates) done at 10:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday returned 48 relevant items.
A Google News search on [Kaepernick Clinton prison] (same parameters) returned four relevant results.
NewsBusters has even more analysis; check out the rest here. Suffice to say, this is yet another example of media bias, specifically of the media covering up for Hillary Clinton.

Spot.IM conducted a survey this week on media consumption and found that 85% of Republicans, 53% of Libertarians and 43% of Independents said they believe Donald Trump receives too much negative press. Only 9% of Democrats and 11% of Greens agreed.
Democrats, Libertarians and respondents identifying as non-affiliated watched NBC more than any other news station - 45% NBC TV news, CNN (42%) ABC (40%) and CBS (40%). Greens chose PBS and respondents identifying as Independents chose CNN most. Not surprisingly, more Republicans watch Fox News than any other network for news programming.
Among Democrats, Independents and non-affiliated respondents, CNN.com was the most popular news site to visit, and for Republicans, FoxNews.com ranked most popular. The Huffington Post and USAToday.com ranked most popular among Libertarian respondents, while The Huffington Post, NYTimes.com and Buzzfeed tied for most popular among respondents identifying with the Green Party.
The chart below shows how the top 40 news websites faired, broken down by respondents’ political party associations.

Spot.IM commissioned the study to survey the media landscape.

Vicente Fox: Trump 'Not Welcome' In Mexco

"We reject his visit"

Former President of Mexico Vicente Fox has a message for Donald Trump prior to his meeting with Mexican President Peña Nieto: "We reject your visit."
Appearing on CNN with Chris Cuomo on Wednesday, Fox outright dismissed Trump's visit, saying the Mexican people will give him the most royal unwelcome.
"First of all, let me tell you, he is not welcome to Mexico," the former President told Cuomo. "By 130 million people, we don’t like him, we don’t want him, we reject his message."
Taking into consideration that Trump respectfully accepted Nieto's invite to visit, Fox wrote it off as a "political stunt" that put President Peña at risk.
I don’t understand why President Peña has offered this opportunity. I think it’s nothing more than a political stunt. Trump is using Mexico, he’s using President Peña to boost his sinking poll numbers.
I think the President Peña is taking an enormous political risk by hosting Trump. If he’s gone soft on Trump, it will hurt him greatly. He will even be considered like a traitor because we don’t accept to be offended like we just heard and that should not happen — he comes here with a smile on his face. I think this is a big mistake on part of President Peña.
Vicente Fox has largely revealed himself as classless act amidst this election, dropping F-bombs and flipping the birdtowards Donald Trump on every occasion. Hypocritical leftists, of course, thought these crass stunts were comic genius while simultaneously deriding Trump for his sometimes off-color sense of humor. Since exclaiming on national television, "I will not build that f–cking wall," Fox made himself a sworn enemy of Trump, and their feud continued Wednesday on Twitter:
Fox fired back at Trump with his own tweet, calling him a liar.
"Stop lying!" Fox wrote. "Mexico is not yours to play with, show some respect."
Mr. Fox may wish to heed his own advice. Throughout this election – our election in our sovereign country – Fox has used foul language on our television stations and told our citizens how they should vote this coming November.
Show some respect, Mr. Fox.

Fallacious NYT: No Difference Between Trump and Weiner

They’ve completely jumped the shark.

New York Times columnist Frank Bruni wasted 800 words desperately trying to describe Donald Trump and Anthony Weiner as “irredeemable twins.” His logic stretched so thin it snapped like the waistband of Weiner’s Jockeys.
When one thinks of the infidelities perpetrated by the husband of Hillary Clinton’s top aide, Huma Abedin, it’s hard not to make a connection to Bill Clinton, especially since the two families are inextricably linked. That connection deepens knowing the former two-timing president officiated Weiner’s wedding, as TruthRevolt reported on Tuesday.
But as an employee of the nation’s top pro-Hillary paper, Bruni doesn’t connect those dots. No, to him, Weiner and Trump are one and the same:
Trump is to his persevering supporters what Weiner was to his long-suffering wife: a scoundrel undeserving of so many second chances; a head case incapable of the redemption that’s supposedly just a few extra measures of discipline away; someone selling himself as a servant of the public although he’s really a slave to his own raging ego and unquenchable needs.
When Trump looks in the mirror, there’s a whole lot of Weiner staring back at him.
“The details are tawdrier in Weiner’s case, and the stakes far smaller. But both men are creatures of potent want and pure compulsion who lucked into forgiving audiences,” Bruni added.
And like Abedin who announced she'd had enough, Bruni wonders how long Trump’s “legions” will stand by their man. He continued drawing lines:
[Trump] is someone who once joked to Howard Stern — on the air — that his own Vietnam was the danger he courted as a libidinous man in an era of sexually transmitted diseases. This is someone who publicly drooled over his daughter Ivanka, saying that he might date her if he hadn’t sired her.
Weiner sent strangers pictures of his bulge. Trump assured the viewers of a nationally televised debate that he was amply endowed.
These impulses — these boasts — aren’t unrelated.
Bruni ends, “Have we constructed a politics with such bright, invasive lights that those who find it more attractive than repulsive include an unhealthy number of insecure exhibitionists out for affirmation above all else?”
NYT’s readers weren’t kind to Bruni’s leap of logic:
“Bruni should mull over the fact that but for one mistaken keystroke on Weiner's phone when he accidently made a "sexting" tweet public, New York Democrats probably would have elected Weiner Mayor. Would the Times and Bruni have backed him? No doubt, even though Weiner's unfitness for office, his obvious narcissism, incivility and phony tough guy act, were abundantly clear without embarassing pictures.”
“This is simply silly. A ridiculous waste of time and ink. Gossip hiding behind privilege.”
“According to NYT Trump is responsible for all our ills. Now he is responsible for rabid Democratic stalwart, Anthony Weiner! Give us a break! Time to denigrate Trump's wife while declaring every other politician's family off limits. Have you no shame?”
“While I'm no fan of Trump, this piece is such a tortured stretch to try to paint Trump with the Weiner brush as to be irredeemable. The writer needs to stick to sensitive pieces about the LGBT community.”
“Mr. Bruni: What a nasty column, as you try to tie Weiner (Democrat) to your hated Republican (Trump). If you want to trash (actually, expose, pun intended) a Democrat who continually cheated, preyed upon women, and had a Lady Macbeth who covered for him, why does your article not even mention Bill Clinton?”
At least someone was paying attention, proving some NYT readers are smarter than its contributors.

Singer John Legend: National Anthem Racist, 'Weak Song' "My vote is for America the Beautiful"

Singer John Legend: National Anthem Racist, 'Weak Song'

"My vote is for America the Beautiful"

Music icon John Legend has come out in defense of 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's refusal to stand during the national anthem by characterizing it as a "weak song" with racist overtures.
"My vote is for America the Beautiful," wrote Legend. "Star Spangled Banner is a weak song anyway. And then you read this ..."
While "America the Beautiful" may or may not be a better song than the "Star Spangled Banner," that's no reason not to stand during its oration. As for the song's supposed "racism," Legend based that off a tweet from The Intercept, whose linked piece stated: "No one seems to be aware that our national anthem literally celebrates the murder of African-Americans."
When folks characterized Legend as a hypocrite for blasting the national anthem while having previously sung it at the 2016 NBA Finals, he said that his eyes have now been opened to History's awful truth.

Or perhaps Legend doesn't know history at all. He served as Executive Producer on the latest Barack Obama fluff film Southside With You that creates a highly romanticized, saccharine love story between the soon-to-be former President and Michelle Obama on their first date.
