Abortion Activists Want Unlimited Abortions Throughout Pregnancy: “We’re Not Looking for a Little Bit of Abortion”

 INTERNATIONAL   SPUC   OCT 2, 2017   |   4:36PM    DUBLIN, IRELAND
“We won’t accept and we can’t support any less than that.”
The organiser of the Abortion Rights Campaign (ARC) in Ireland said at the weekend that they are campaigning for full access to abortion. The debate in Ireland is often framed around a need for some relaxation of the law to allow for abortion in limited cases, but Linda Kavanagh, speaking at the March for Choice, made it clear that they are campaigning for abortion on demand.
“We want full abortion access,” she said. “Nobody that is marching here today…. are not looking for a little bit of abortion, we want full abortion access.”
She said that the recommendations of the Citizens’ Assembly (which called for abortion on demand up to 12 weeks) were the “minimum” they were looking for, and “we won’t accept and we can’t support any less than that.”
The comments were made at the March for Choice, which took place in Dublin on Saturday. Organisers are claiming that 30-40,000 people attended. This figure has not been officially confirmed, but if it is correct, it is dwarfed by the 70-80,000 who took part in the Rally for Life in July. It is also far less than the 100,000 lives it is estimated have been saved from abortion by the Eighth Amendment.

Silencing rape survivors

The news comes as the tactics of people campaigning to repeal the amendment are getting increasingly violent. Two Dublin hotels cancelled an event where women who had given birth after rape or were conceived in rape were to share their experiences after their staff received death threats. In the end, the gathering was held outside the hotel. This video from the Life Institute explains what happened, and features Jennifer who was pregnant after rape, Rebecca whose mother conceived her in rape, Shauna who was pregnant after rape, and Louise, post-abortive after rape.
RTE featured a short interview with Jennifer in its coverage of the March.

Even Partial Repeal of 8th Amendment in Ireland Would Allow Killing Unborn Babies in Abortions

INTERNATIONAL   PROLIFE CAMPAIGN   OCT 2, 2017   |   12:24PM    DUBLIN, IRELAND
The Pro Life Campaign has said there is no real difference between “partial” or “full” repeal of the 8th Amendment since both options would strip unborn babies of all meaningful protections under the law.
PLC spokesperson Dr Ruth Cullen made her remarks at an awareness event in Grafton Street earlier today in advance of today’s ‘March for Choice’ in Dublin. The PLC is also holding similar events in 21 locations throughout the country today, where volunteers will distribute literature to members of the public.
Commenting on the weekend’s ‘March for Choice’, Dr Cullen said: “There is much speculation at present about whether any referendum proposal would be ‘restrictive’ or allow abortion in wide-ranging circumstances.
“In reality any form of repeal would deliver the same result – an abortion regime in Ireland, where it would become impossible to have any meaningful protections for unborn babies. The experience from other countries proves this over and over again.
“Talk of legalising abortion up to, say, 12 weeks is nothing more than plucking a time limit from thin air. And as soon as someone says the limit should be 12 weeks, someone else chimes in to say it should be 18 weeks, 22 weeks or even up to birth.”
Dr Cullen continued: “Legalised abortion is public policy in defiance of science. We either protect every human life in our laws or we end up protecting no one. Once it is conceded that unborn babies are unworthy of legal protection in some situations, it is in effect saying that no unborn babies have any intrinsic value.
“It might be popular with some to attack the 8th Amendment at every turn and overlook all the good it has done for this country. But the fact is there are thousands of people alive today in Ireland thanks to the 8th Amendment. That’s something we should celebrate and cherish not denigrate.
“I am confident support for full retention of the 8th Amendment will grow and grow as people realise what the alternative would entail and the countless innocent lives that would be lost through abortion.”

Fatah's youth movement Shabiba in Bethlehem recently distributed a free diary to high school students in which the front cover has a photo of Yasser Arafat, and the back cover displays photos of arch-terrorist Abu Jihad, who was responsible for the murder of 125 Israelis, and Salah Khalaf who was the head of the terror organization Black September, a secret branch of Fatah. Attacks planned by Salah Khalaf included the murder of the 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics in 1972 - an attack Fatah still glorifies.

Text on back cover of diary under pictures of the terrorists: "Shabiba is the guarantee of the future and the loyalty to the path of the Martyrs (Shahids)"

Palestinian Media Watch has documented that Fatah's university student movement -also named Shabiba -  sends university students the same message that violence is the proper path. At two Palestinian universities, An-Najah National University in Nablus and Al-Quds Open University, Shabiba's logos advocate dying for "Palestine":

The front cover of the new diary also bears the logos of Fatah and the PLO, which include the PA map of "Palestine" that presents all of Israel as part of "Palestine". PMW has shown that the denial of Israel's existence and right to exist is one of the most fundamental ideologies of both the PA and Fatah.

Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir) - was a founder of Fatah and deputy to Yasser Arafat. He headed the PLO terror organization's military wing and also planned many deadly Fatah terror attacks in the 1960's - 1980's. These attacks, which murdered a total of 125 Israelis, included the most lethal in Israeli history - the hijacking of a bus and murder of 37 civilians, 12 of them children.

Salah Khalaf (Abu Iyad) - PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat's deputy, one of the founders of Fatah, and head of the terror organization Black September, a secret branch of Fatah. Attacks he planned include the murder of 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics (Sept. 5, 1972) and the murder of two American diplomats in Sudan (March 1, 1973).
