A middle school in Ohio has removed its display of the Ten Commandments following complaints by the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF).
The group called the plaque, which dates from the 1920s and was displayed at the entrance of the school’s auditorium entrance, a “flagrant violation” of the First Amendment.
“The district’s promotion of the Judeo-Christian bible and religion over nonreligion impermissibly turns any non-Christian or non-believing student into an outsider,” wrote FFRF representative Christopher Line in an April letter sent to the school.
“Schoolchildren already feel significant pressure to conform to their peers. They must not be subjected to similar pressure from their schools, especially on religious questions,” he added.
However, the school district was not happy with the way the FFRF went about addressing the matter. “Rather than meeting with the district to begin a dialogue, FFRF sent a letter from its office in Wisconsin and then used the local media to further the issue,” said school Superintendent David Brand.
Don’t be a pro-America, pro-military student in the age of Trump. Just don’t do it.
Nothing good can come of it, especially if you attempt to show it off in some way.
Take eighth-grader Tyler Carlin, for example.
He was punished simply for completing a school project that featured a battlefield cross.

Eighth grader Tyler Carlin needed an idea for a history project. He chose to create a replica of the battlefield cross, which is used on the battlefield or at camp to mark the death of a fallen soldier.
Carlin told Fox News that his teacher knew he would be making the replica and said it would be alright. But when Carlin showed up to his Ohio school with his project — made from a helmet, boots and a Nerf dart gun — it was promptly taken away. He also said he was given a 3-day in-school suspension.

“I just sat in a room all day. An administrator thought it was stupid that I got this, so she brought me a doughnut and played cards with me,” he said on “Fox & Friends.” His attorney, Travis Faber, is demanding the school expunge the “ridiculous” suspension from the middle school student’s record and had asked the school to delay Carlin’s suspension — to no avail.
“We are greatly concerned about the message the actions of the Celina School District will send to our community’s youth,” Faber told WTOL. “He [Tyler] should be thanked for his hard work and dedication to our veterans and to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.”

Schumer’s Career Thrown Into Chaos After Massive Betrayal From Nancy Pelosi

The Democratic party is imploding in spectacular fashion with a full-blown civil war ready to break out between the establishment and the powerful insurgent socialist wing and it could very well cost them the 2020 election.
Last week it erupted on the debate stage in Miami and now there is growing friction between House and Senate leaders after Chuck Schumer humiliated Speaker Nancy Pelosi by refusing to bow to the young extremists led by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who demanded that the $4.5 billion border security bill be gutted in order to strip funds for enforcement.
Some Democrats are decrying the bill’s passage as the worst defeat for Pelosi since the Dems regained control of the House and are on the attack against Schumer.
Shrieks of anger erupted after what many are calling a betrayal as well as a surrender to President Trump who supported the bill.  The bipartisan compromise bill passed the Senate 80-4 with Democrats either not voting or joining with Republicans who have been trying to get something serious done to address the crisis at the border.
The squabbling over the bill was highlighted when multiple parties took their arguments to the Washington Post where the finger-pointing and tensions were revealed in a story that highlights the embattled Pelosi’s ongoing problems in trying to keep her freshman extremists in line and cited the Speaker’s own suggestion that she was two-timed by Cryin’ Chuck who may soon join Trump atop the official enemies list.
Democrats in the House and Senate are at odds with one another over the passage of a $4.5 billion emergency border funding bill backed by Senate Republicans, a Friday report from The Washington Post revealed.
The fact that Senate Democrats went along with the bill “kneecapped the House and marked the most embarrassing defeat for Pelosi in the six months since Democrats took over the chamber,” the report read.
“Schumer destroyed all our leverage on Wednesday by not being able to hold his people,” a senior House Democratic aide told the Post. Meanwhile, an anonymous aide on the Senate side said, “They’re blaming everyone but themselves.”

When it came time to vote on the Senate version, only six Democrats withheld their votes. The rest were absent or voted for it — including Schumer.
Pelosi and those in her leadership circle were shocked. To them, Schumer had given McConnell a nuclear weapon — the ability to brag that his legislation had overwhelming bipartisan support and should therefore pass the House.
The next day, Pelosi walked into the two-hour-long leadership meeting saying Schumer couldn’t keep his members in line. One senior Democratic aide called it “a betrayal”; another lawmaker called it “a broken deal.”
But to those in Schumer’s orbit, the Wednesday bipartisan Senate vote should not have come as a surprise. In their view, the House had gone AWOL on border negotiations for weeks and should have known the depth of Democratic support for the bill following the 30-to-1 committee vote.
In addition, according to Senate officials familiar with the talks, neither Pelosi or any other House Democrat at any point explicitly asked Senate Democrats to block the Senate version of the bill. The real leverage point, they believed, would come after the House sent back an amended Senate bill on Thursday — forcing a negotiation with Republicans.
Instead, Democratic centrists in the House who were fortified by the overwhelming Senate vote blocked that strategy, touching off an intense round of finger-pointing.
During one private meeting this week, some top Democrats mocked Schumer for speaking on the Senate floor Wednesday alongside a horrifying photo of a drowned migrant father and daughter while appearing at the same to be undermining the House’s efforts to make the bill better for children.
Others whispered that Senate Democrats were “smelling the jet fumes” of the July 4 holiday recess — or simply didn’t want to complicate the schedules of their colleagues running for president who needed to attend the debate in Miami on Wednesday and Thursday.
Ironically, the pissed off progressives set themselves up for the fall with their ghoulish exploitation of a tragic iconic photo of a Salvadoran father and his young daughter who drowned in the Rio Grande and the shrill, dishonest demagoguery of Ocasio-Cortez who compared border detention facilities to Nazi concentration camps.
While the bomb-throwing anarchists in the House weren’t prepared to give an inch, more moderate Senate Dems realized that they could not head into the Fourth Of July break without doing something to address the public anger over the children.
American politics has never seen anything like the 29-year-old taco bar revolutionary who has wholeheartedly embraced the idea of the “big lie” repeated over and over and has a flair for the dramatic like her crazed meltdown at a border detention facility in Texas on Monday.
AOC falsely claimed that she witnessed children being made to drink from a toilet and suggested that guards wanted to rape her and in doing so, continued to poison the minds of her huge social media following who are fueled by hatred for Trump and America.
Like the Bolsheviks and Mensheviks who battled for control during the 1917 Russian Revolution, historians may be tempted to see some eerie historical similarities in the conflict between the Pelosi-Schumer old guard and the young ideologues.
One thing is for sure, the blade that AOC is going to bury in Pelosi’s back when the time comes is getting sharper by the day.
