Abortion Doula Proudly Holds Women’s Hands as Their Babies are Killed in Abortions

Abortion Doula Proudly Holds Women’s Hands as Their Babies are Killed in Abortions

INTERNATIONAL   MICAIAH BILGER   JAN 31, 2020   |   4:52PM    OTTAWA, CANADA
Shannon Hardy wants to end the “stigma” associated with aborting unborn babies.
A Canadian “abortion doula,” she recently spoke with CBC Radio about volunteering to help women in Nova Scotia have abortions.
Though Canada allows unrestricted abortions up to birth and forces taxpayers to pay for them, it’s not enough for Hardy. She claimed there still are too many “barriers,” and her abortion doula work helps to break them down.
A social worker from Halifax, she began serving as a birth doula in 2012, according to the report.
In the course of her work, she said she found out that there were no abortion facilities on Prince Edward Island and no taxpayer funding for the expenses of traveling somewhere else for an abortion. That made her upset, and she began offering doula services for abortion as well.
Doulas are not medical professionals, but they provide extra support services to pregnant and parenting mothers. As an abortion doula with Abortion Support Services Atlantic, Hardy said she provides practical and emotional support by answering questions, helping women travel to appointments, finding lodging for them, if necessary, and sometimes holding their hands and supporting them during the actual abortion procedure.
“… we don’t believe abortion is in and of itself traumatic,” Hardy said. “What we believe is that these systems — we have to go through the hoops — those things are traumatic because they exist on every level.”
She blamed social “stigma” for any trauma that women may experience from abortions. To her, it has nothing to do with the death of an unborn child.
Hardy speaks boldly about her work, believing that talking more about abortion – though, of course, never mentioning what an abortion actually is – will make it more acceptable to society.
“Being very public about what I do … people immediately felt a safety in that,” she said.
She suggested that schools should promote abortion in sexual education classes, and pro-lifers should not be outside of abortion facilities encouraging women to choose life. She also hinted that conscience protections for pro-life doctors should go away, and they should be forced to abort unborn babies even if they believe it is wrong.
“I would really, really like us to look at our conscientious objector allowances for doctors,” Hardy said when asked about the future.
It sounds like what really happens is that Hardy and other abortion doulas shroud vital facts about abortion from women in their attempts to “normalize” the killing of unborn babies.
Trauma from abortion is very real, and it is not caused by “stigma.” Numerous studies have linked abortion to mental health problems, including depression, anxiety, substance abuse and suicide. Abortion trauma comes from the fact that an abortion kills a living, unique human being – the woman’s own child. Countless women have been deceived into thinking that an abortion is just a simple medical procedure and their unborn baby is a blob of cells, only to learn too late that they were wrong.
Women deserve better. They deserve to know the truth that an abortion kills a baby’s life, that an abortion can hurt their own health, and that real support is available to mothers who choose life for their babies.

Pastor Says Christians Should Vote for Pro-Abortion Democrats Instead of President Trump

Pastor Says Christians Should Vote for Pro-Abortion Democrats Instead of President Trump

OPINION   MICAIAH BILGER   JAN 31, 2020   |   5:56PM    WASHINGTON, DC
A Republican pastor from Arkansas, ignoring Democrats’ growing extremism on abortion, urged evangelical Christians to vote for a Democrat instead of President Donald Trump this week.
“Because a deal with Democrats is better than a deal with the devil,” wrote Robb Ryerse, an evangelical Christian pastor at Vintage Fellowship in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
His piece in Time magazine this week compared Trump to the devil, and argued that pro-life Christians would better serve the “common good” by voting for a pro-abortion Democrat.
“Voters of faith should set aside their personal interests and predilections and instead prioritize the common good for all,” Ryerse wrote.
He argued that Trump’s pro-life actions are not sincere, and the Republican president was just courting voters by attending the March for Life last week.
“Trump’s decision to attend was motivated by politics,” the pastor wrote. “He wasn’t against abortion until he started running for president, and yet he has heard mounting questions raised about the sturdiness of his support among evangelicals, whose backing in 2016 was key to his victory. … Enter March for Life, an opportunity to double down on what Trump knows is the linchpin of his appeal to many religious voters.”
It is true that Trump once was pro-choice, but so were many others who now work in the pro-life movement. Many, many people have changes of heart about abortion because of something personal that happened in their lives. For President Trump the conversion happened in February 2011, not just before he ran for president as Ryerse falsely claims.
In 2016, Trump told EWTN that a “number of moments” influenced his change of heart on the matter, but the biggest was a “magnificent person” he knows who was almost aborted. Since his election, he has shown to be sincere about his pro-life promises by defunding Planned Parenthood through Title X and the Mexico City Policy, expanding conscience protections for medical workers who oppose abortion, fighting against pro-abortion policies at the United Nations and more.

Their pro-abortion policies would lead to more unborn babies being killed each year. More than 61 million have died already, and nearly 1 million continue to be aborted every year in America.
Yet, to Ryerse, they somehow are more acceptable than Trump, who has taken concrete, meaningful steps to protect unborn babies and their mothers from abortion.
“Trump is an anathema to everything I was taught to love about Jesus, everything I was taught about how to live out my faith,” Ryerse wrote. “His disdain for decency, disrespect toward basic tenets of right and wrong and complete disregard for the most vulnerable among us could not be more fundamentally un-Christian. To vote for him because he sees the political expediency of supporting restrictions on abortion is a Faustian deal with the devil that is ultimately more likely to exact greater cost than reward.”
Pro-life Christians know that Trump is not a perfect candidate. No candidate is. But he, at least, knows that abortion is not a right or a freedom. He works to protect vulnerable unborn babies from abortion, while his Democrat contenders openly promote killing them.
Even many Democrats have become disgusted with their party’s radical pro-abortion extremes, and, though some will not support Trump for similar reasons to Ryerse’s, they know that they also cannot support Democrats who believe killing an unborn baby for any reason up to birth is a “right” that American taxpayers should be forced to pay for.

Pastor Confirms: “The Bible Makes it Clear Human Life Begins at Conception and All Human Life is Precious”

NATIONAL   MICAIAH BILGER   JAN 31, 2020   |   8:10PM    WASHINGTON, DC
Pastor Robert Kujawski believes the Bible is clear about abortion – and science is, too.
In a column for the Herald Times Reporter, the Lutheran pastor explained why he believes every human life is valuable and why he has hope for the future.
“There is a major battle being waged regarding this issue. On the one hand, we have politicians who are espousing allowing a mother and her doctor to kill the child even after a baby is born. Many of these same politicians and activists openly oppose and threaten to veto attempts to curb abortion practice,” wrote Kujawski, the pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
“On the other hand, some states, most dramatically Alabama, have now passed laws making it once again illegal to perform an abortion,” he continued.
Though tens of millions of babies have been killed in abortions, Kujawski said there is hope for the future when people really seek the truth.
“The Bible makes it clear that human life begins at conception and that all human life is precious,” he said.
Even those who are not Christians need only to look to science to realize that abortion is an injustice, he wrote.
Kujawski continued:
Reexamine the science. Our society is constantly telling us that in many issues facing us that science is what must be considered first and foremost. So what does biology tell us about what is growing inside a pregnant woman? As in other sciences, our understanding of biology has grown by leaps and bounds between 1973 and 2020. Have the scientific advances shown us that the child growing inside of a woman is more or less of a human being than was thought in 1973?
I think you will find that the answer is obvious to any impartial observer.
He challenged Americans to read the testimonies to the U.S. Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade and to research the history of Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion chain in America.
“Observe how assurances that abortion would be rare or would not be used as birth control have proven untrustworthy,” Kujawski said. “Reread the history of Planned Parenthood and discover the underlying philosophy of its founder — you will probably be surprised.”
The truth is clear when people search for the truth. Unborn babies are unique, valuable human beings from the moment their lives come into existence, the moment of conception. Abortion destroys their lives, and the abortion industry profits from their deaths.
The truth is undeniable, whether a person is a Christian or not. Unborn babies are precious, valuable human beings who deserve to be protected.
