Trump Threatens to Revoke Rosie O’Donnell’s Citizenship

The feud between Donald Trump and Rosie O’Donnell just hit a new low.
On Saturday, President Trump posted a fiery message on social media, claiming he’s “giving serious consideration” to revoking O’Donnell’s U.S. citizenship, calling the comedian a “threat to humanity.”
“Because of the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship,” Trump wrote. “She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
O’Donnell, who officially relocated to Ireland earlier this year, wasted no time firing back.
Sharing screenshots of Trump’s post, she responded on Instagram: “The president of the USA has always hated the fact that I see him for who he is — a criminal con man sexual abusing liar out to harm our nation to serve himself.”
She continued, “This is why I moved to Ireland. He is a dangerous old soulless man with dementia who lacks empathy, compassion and basic humanity. I stand in direct opposition to all he represents — so do millions of others.”
In another post, O’Donnell blasted Trump as a “bad joke who can’t form a coherent sentence” and dared him to deport all Americans who oppose him. “You want to revoke my citizenship? Go ahead and try. I’m not yours to silence. I never was.”
O’Donnell also shared a photo of Trump with Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier who died in prison in 2019 while facing sex trafficking charges. Her caption was a pointed dig: “Had you grown up in NY — as I did — you would know what a total fool he is. Add me to the list of people who oppose him at every turn.”
The drama follows a decades-long war of words between Trump and O’Donnell, who has made no secret of her disdain for the president. In a March TikTok video, she confirmed her decision to leave the U.S. with her 12-year-old child Clay, citing the political climate and social issues under Trump’s leadership.
“You know, I’m happy. Clay is happy. I miss my other kids. I miss my friends. I miss many things about life there at home,” she said. “And when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that’s when we will consider coming back.”
Despite Trump’s bold threat, legal experts say the president has no constitutional authority to revoke the citizenship of a natural-born U.S. citizen like O’Donnell, who was born in New York.
Their bitter rivalry has spanned more than two decades — and if this latest dust-up proves anything, it’s that neither of them is backing down anytime soon.
